It was the perfect get away with the fam. Felt very comfortable.

The place was gorgeous. The screened in porch was a huge hit and so was the hammock. We loved our stay!

My friends and I had a great time. We wanted to go to turkey run but there was no pass provided when they said they had one.

Nice cabin in relatively remote area. The house was easy to find and check in was super easy. Owner was responsive to communication and helpful. House was clean and comfortable, but there were wasps around the back deck area, and gnats in the front yard which made our time outside less comfortable. For those of us with Verizon cell service, cell phone and internet service was fine, just slow. For those with different cell service providers, we had no service or connection at all while at the property. But overall, a nice visit.

Absolutely stunned. The house, the land, the nature, the interior decoration…all of it was perfect. Could not have asked for a better host.

Even though the trees were not in full leaf. The property was beautiful including the farmhouse. We very much loved the peace and serenity. Never turned on the tv. O

This property is situated in a beautiful countryside location. Surrounded by nature. Very peaceful and quiet. The home is beautiful and well stocked with everything you’ll need for a pleasant stay. Plenty of room inside and out.

We loved everything about our stay. It was nice to be close to Shade Park. We spent time walking and finding cool covered bridges.

Had a very nice time with our family. Would stay again.

Everything we needed and more for two nights near Turkey Run State Park!

We rented this property and the one on the same piece of land. Both were clean and as advertised. Would be nice if there was a path through the woods to get from one to the other. Otherwise we were very satisfied.

We had a wonderful time at the farmhouse! My sister and her children stayed at the other property close by, it was a great setup for our family reunion in nearby Turkey Run State Park. The hot tub in the screened in porch was a highlight. We can’t wait to come again!

This cute little cabin was the perfect size for 4 women. The hot tub was great! The weather was rainy and cool while we were there so we didn’t get to enjoy the patio or fire pit. The location was wonderful for a quiet girlfriends weekend. The cabin had everything we needed.

This review is for the Cozy Farmhouse across from Shades State Park. We were looking for a nice, quiet getaway, close to Turkey Run and Shades state park, with room for the family and enough amenities to occupy the kids in case the weather didn't cooperate. Sugar Creek Retreat did not disappoint. The house is spacious, comfortable, nicely appointed, with a family friendly open concept. And talk about convenience, there are walking trails to Shades State Park literally across the road, and Turkey Run State Park is a easy 10 minute drive. The screened in porch offered a relaxing environment for evening conversations, and the firepit found us laughing while making smores. The book shelf in the living room is well stocked with games, and the satellite tv was loaded with options. My only negative comment might be that the internet reception could be improved, but hey, this is supposed to be vacation time spent with family. Oh, the homeowner Gabe is an excellent host, quick to respond, and always helpful. If you are looking for a quiet, clean and comfortable getaway, slightly off of the beaten path, this "Cozy Farmhouse", as it is called, may be exactly what you need to destress for a few days.
