Located in Ozark Mountains, this attractive cabin for $120 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Jack's Little Log Cabin offers log living in a peaceful wooded country setting 4 miles from Steelville and 12 miles from Cuba or St. James. Come on out, relax and enjoy some rest and restoration on the property or take on some of the many adventures of the nearby area. There are nearby outfitters offering canoes, rafts and kayaks or you can just play on the gravel bar, little over a mile from the cabin. There is adequate parking at the river. Other exciting activities would include sight seeing, hiking, wine tasting, or try the new zip line at Meramec Caverns. Whatever you do during the day, you can plan on coming home to enjoy your barbeque grill, fire pit with wood and of course, your own private hot tub. The log cabin features a full front porch looking out over the valley, a large rear deck with a lower hot tub level, private bedroom with queen size log bed, private 3/4 bath, kitchenette, and living room with a flat screen TV offering satellite, Roku or DVD player with a library of movies. The refrigerator in the kitchenette is a small fridge. If you plan on bringing a lot food and beverages, I recommend bringing a cooler There is an electric fireplace in the living room for ambiance and provides heat for the cold winter months. I absoultely loved the cabin. The mineral spa was fantastic as well! The jets arent super strong but we loved just soaking and enjoying the view of the woods! The only issue we had, which was not a huge deal, was there are a set of cabins about 100 feet from this cabin. There is a fence to seperate them from view, but i imagine if someone had been staying there would probably be noise issues if you were playing music outside. Also while we were in the hot tub a family staying at a different cabin farther away were playing disc golf at the awesome provided disk catcher! Unfortunately the catcher is located right next to jacks cabin. So it was pretty strange hanging out in the spa with a family of 4 playing disc golf about 25 feet away. Even with that i would highly recommend this place just keep in mind there are other cabins quite close.

The area is so quiet, the cabin is adorable and perfect for 2 people and a couple night stay! The host was very fast to respond to any questions. Super easy to get to and range from 2-10 minute drive to amazing views and fun Route 66 historic sites to visit as well!!

We had an amazing time at Jack's cabin. It had everything we needed and it was so neat and clean. The cabin was cozy, and the fireplace, hot tub and firepit were highlights to the trip. We floated the Cortois River and hung out at the nearby beach on the Meramec and had a great time. We will definitely return. Highly recommend this cabin!

The host really make sure you have little items like flashlight, Off spray. Beautiful area enough to make the drive worthwhile. Also, the host is very communicative and answered all my questions.

The stay at Jack's cabin was absolutely incredible and everything we were looking for in a getaway. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star was because of the shower pressure. Keeping it at hot gave more pressure just didn't seem like the cold was hooked up or something. The hot tub was wonderful and the scenery was just breathtaking..we will be back!

Although it is fairly small this cabin was fantastic. Quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was a real plus and the covered front porch with gate allowed me to sit outside with my small dogs. Highly recommend.

Good news, cabin was clean, bad news, hot tub was not! In fact it barely worked at all, maybe 3 jets! You pay extra for this! Couldnt even use it, that was my main attraction! I think we should get some kind of refund!

Beautiful property, secluded for the most part. Hot tub was perfect! The only two things that might need improvement would be little better bed and towels that don't smell musty when they are wet. But these aren't deal breakers! No fault of the owner, but the shower stall is very small and very little pressure. The shower stall isn't built for a large person. It would be a very tight fit. Just saying. Other than that, great place to spend a couple days with your friends/ family/ loved ones ❤️

Wife and I visited to get time away from the city, giving her a new experience and me a moment to return to my roots. We both loved it. The cabin was the perfect size for two people to just sit and reconnect. The sound of the wind and wild was the perfect serenade to accompany our evenings. I look forward to visiting again.

Beautiful, quiet, and cute place in the woods. It was just what we needed. We had a fun day fishing at Meramac as well as enjoyed eating and tasting wine in St. James. Coming back to a warm hot tub was perfect! Thank you for allowing us to stay

Great stay at a great location. Except: the shower turn on valve is malfunctioning, making it extremely hard to get the right water temp for a shower. Also the hot water is SCAULDING hot, you can save money by turning down the heater. Anyway, the hot tub was fabulous and needed both the night of and the day after we canoed the Current River! Bed was yummy. Kitchen well stocked. Whip-or-will (bird) call the icing on the cake! Fix the shower and you get 5 *****

We had planned to float but water was too high. (We will try again this summer) Instead we spent the afternoon sitting by the water listening to the white water rush by! It was very relaxing and weather was beautiful! Cool and crisp. We also spent time in the hot tub and sitting on the porch. There is not a lot to do around town but we were looking to get away and this was just what we were looking for!

This is a really nice little cabin. My wife and I had our dog with us, so we appreciate the pet friendly nature! It is small but had everything we needed. Plus a great hot tub. Really good parks and trails nearby.

Excellent hot tub is very private. Nice bed and sheets. Close to Meramec Springs. Too far to walk to river but a short drive. We had a couple of concerns and Cynthia was very responsive. The kitchenette is really basic so don’t plan on serious cooking.

The cabin is in the perfect location for a quiet weekend or a trip to the river or both in our case. We are already planning a return trip. I'm not sure if we could have asked for anything more.

Online it stated we would have WiFi and service which we did not. Online it seemed like the cabin was secluded which it was not. There was a large cabin within view. We could hear the people at the group cabin the whole time we were in ours. We had hoped for a relaxing weekend, we did not even stay one night due to feeling unsafe. We will not be back.

A great place to get away from it all!! Quiet with beautiful scenery and close to the river. We enjoyed taking our chairs and sitting by the river and relaxing the day away. The meremac springs is nearby and a great place to visit. The cabin was well stocked and the host communicated very well.
