About this cabin rental
Located in Florida, this lovely cabin for $265 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Total privacy, including no contact self check-in, at this immaculate, secluded lake front home. Launch your boat (4 wheel drive required to launch!) from your private beach at this beautiful cabin directly on Big Lake Kerr. Entertain all of your lakeside desires in the crystal clear waters of Lake Kerr. Bring your boats and your floats and your fishing poles too or enjoy the 4 single kayaks provided for your use! There's so much to do in and around the Ocala National Forest! A favorite is to boat (by paddle or motor) Salt Springs Run, which comes from Salt Springs. The spring flows 52 million gallons per day and is a constant 72 degrees year round. The water is beautifully clear and the bottom is white sand. If you don’t have a boat, you may rent one at Salt Springs Marina, or just swim the springs at Salt Springs Recreation Area, just 2 miles from the cabin! You may also choose to never leave the cabin with beautiful Lake Kerr steps away from the cabin doors. Enjoy long afternoons and evenings on the expansive patio with fire pit overlooking the lake or indulge yourself in the Hot Springs Grande hot tub on the deck. Commune with nature in our outdoor shower. Inside you'll find hardwood floors and granite countertops along with all the comforts of home. Enjoy your favorite shows on the new 60" television and sleep well in the ultra comfortable bedrooms. The lakeside bedroom features a king bed and the second bedroom has 2 queen beds to maximize guest sleeping! The well equipped kitchen with the open lake views makes "kitchen duty" a pleasure. We are ensuring the health and well being of each guest by following CDC guidelines to thoroughly disinfect and sanitize with an EPA Approved Disinfectant all hard surfaces, door knobs, remote controls, faucets, cabinet pulls and other areas in order to protect against COVID 19. In fact, all those measures were part of our regular cleaning long before this crisis! Rest assured, unlike a hotel or resort, this is our personal home and we take pride in our high standard of hygiene for ourselves and our guests. Come, relax and stay awhile at this lakeside retreat!

We loved it. House had a beautiful patio and view of the lake. All furnishings were top-notch. We would definitely go back. We missed not having a grocery store, but convenience store had some fruit and vegetables. A nice restaurant would have been good.

This property is a hidden gem when looking for homes on the lake. We will definitely be back. The only thing I will say is make sure you have a 4 wheel drive truck if you think of putting your boat in at the property. It’s very soft and you will need to back you boat in quite a ways to launch it. We ended up going to the public ramp that is about 15 minutes away from the house.

The property was very clean. It had everything you needed. There are a couple of restaurants up the street. We were only 30 minutes away from a shopping area. Loved that it was on the lake and so peaceful. Definitely will book again.

Property was remote, off the beaten path. Exactly what we were looking for. Towed boat from Missouri and launched right off the property. Large lake with homes but still extremely private. Hot tub was great. White sandy shoreline and bottom was really nice. House has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Even supplied firewood!!!!

I was blown away by how nice the place is how clean a well organized and locations super private you have your own entrance to the lake you have kayaks you have a barbecue, lots of parking spots looks way better than on the pictures. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from this busy city life five minutes away are the Salt Springs natural spring water super nice here or you can barbecue there in the water super super clear little bit cold bud, I can't find it anywhere else on the suggestion is bring ur meat for the barbecue because there's no big supermarkets around the area only small little supermarkets like the dollar general and the gas station that has a Subway

Traveled with a group of 4 and we had a great time at the property. Excellent access to the lake which we used to kayak and take out our sailboat. Amenities were amazing and we had a fun time grilling, using the hot tub, and escaping the city for a bit. Also spent a day at the nearby Salt Springs which was very fun. The house was very clean and perfect for what we needed. Highly recommended!

This trip was beyond what I expected. Beautiful property just like the pictures. Very clean and quiet. My husband and I enjoyed eating dinner on the back porch while overlooking the sunset right in the backyard over the lake. Owner was great with communication and answered any questions we had during the trip. Definitely will be going vack

The home is exactly as described. Beautiful inside and out. You need nothing but your food and clothes. We spent most of the time outside because the lake and property are breathtaking. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely time enjoying all nature and the cabin have to offer! Everything was so peaceful, we loved the kayaks and the hot tub. The kitchen is perfect to cook in and the bedroom is very comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake and chairs to enjoy your coffee on the deck. You will see lots of wildlife and must visit all the springs! Remember to print out the directions in case you lose signal on the way. The internet works great at the cabin. Would definitely stay here again!

The property was so lovely. We had such a great time just enjoying the scenery, kayaking, being in the hot tub. We never felt the need to leave! The house was clean and comfortable. My husband & I needed some peace & quiet and this cabin fulfilled every need! It’s a very clean cabin nestled under the live oak trees on a beautiful lake with fabulous sunsets. The hot tub was fantastic ! We had everything we needed in the cabin & it felt like home. Kathy was quick to reply to my questions , directions were easy to follow & checkin was great. I would 100% recommend Kathy’s place & plan to rebook soon.

We had a very nice time the house is lovely and the scenery is beautiful. We wanted a place to have a bonfire and just unwind and this was perfect.

Location is very nice, however there was no suggestion to bring food and supplies as no real supermarkets are available within 30 miles. The house keeping was inconsistent. Three initial issues are enough to keep us from having another stay. Instructions for entering and unlocking the gate for the property were incorrect and owner did not return call to address problem. The list of rules and instructions for the renter are not conducive for relaxation. It is inappropriate in our opinion for the renter to have to drop off trash at a remote location nor spend 45 mins looking for a bedroom TV remote only to find it left under the bed by the house keeper. The property is nice but the housekeeping, list of rules and lack of information about the surrounding area makes the stay far less pleasant than it could have been

We were a bit disappointed that( due to the hurricane), Salt Springs was closed.
We did venture over to Silver Springs and enjoyed a glass bottom boat tour.
I would recommend this place to others.

Kathy provided very helpful information regarding the cabin prior to our stay that helped us feel very prepared for our family vacation. The cabin was clean, very comfortable and the views from the porch and stone patio were outstanding. We loved fishing, swimming and using the provided kayaks to explore Lake Kerr. Another highlight was the firepit which we greatly enjoyed using as we took in the beauty of the spectacular sunsets over the water. We are already talking about a return stay with our trip being such a relaxing and refreshing experience in each and every way.

Loved our stay the sunsets are truly amazing. Such a quiet and peaceful getaway spending time with family and friends. So much nature all around from the sweet deer, woodpecker’s and baby squirrels to a small hummingbird coming to visit everyday. Fishing on the lake is definitely an experience you will have to see for yourself. So much fun! But my favorite spot was on the deck first thing in the morning. Owner was easy to get a hold of, she had everything you need for a vacation spot. The rental had a little of everything you could use. My most favorite spot was the hot tub watching the most beautiful sunsets. Can’t wait to visit again for our next vacation.

Private and peaceful!
This location is very private and peaceful. Everything was clean and the host responded very quickly to any questions. The lake and the hot tub were perfection for getting away from it all. Bed was super comfy and the house itself was beautiful.
