On West Grand Traverse Bay -Private Carriage House -Sleeps 4 Between TC & S Bay
About this condo rental
Situated in Michigan, this charming condo for $220 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This property offers 100 feet on West Grand Traverse Bay across from Power island. At the end of the dock is a sitting deck with a 2 person glider - perfect for reading, catching some rays and enjoying the breezes off the water. Enjoy the sunrise over the bay with a cup of coffee or the early evening at sunset with a glass of wine to experience the changing colors of the sky. We call it the "afterglow"once the sun has set. There are some awesome moon rises over the water - If you're bringing your boat, there is a free public launch 5 minutes north onto West Grand Traverse Bay or a free public launch onto Lake Leelanau also 5 minutes away at the end of Bingham Road. There is room on site here for the boat and trailer (Please contact me with the length) . We do not have a hoist to keep your boat in the water overnight but, there is a floating buoy for temporary day docking. Our dock is usually about 300 feet or so out into the water- There is a ladder into the water at the end for swimmers. We also have a 6'x18' floating pad we can drop in the water once the water temp is warmer. Feel free to use the fire pit. Just walk past our home down to the water for bonfires and roasting marshmallows- we have wood you can use on site. You can see downtown Traverse City aglow to the South and enoy the stars and often the satellites overhead. With the water lapping the shore, it creates an evening experience that you don't want to end. Be sure to bring your bottle of wine down with you:) The carriage house apartment is decorated in fun beachy colors with cherry wood flooring throughout. There is second floor deck with water view and gas grill. Interior offers a kitchen with electric stove and cooking utensils. Living room has TV with cable, wireless internet) and a couch that converts to full bed . The bathroom is cottage UP North style with bead board, large tiled shower and antique wicker vanity with vessel sink. The main bedroom has a queen bed with memory foam mattress, a tv and a small walk in closet with extra towels, blankets etc. We invite you to share this wonderful place with us. Our location is nicely located as a base for enjoying Leelanau County and the Grand Traverse Area. Keywords: Restful Nest is located on the West Grand Traverse Bay between Traverse City and Suttons Bay. Enjoy fabulous Northern Michigan sunrises. Includes private upper deck with views, kitchen, a/c, cable/ internet - free public boat launch just 2 miles north, fire pit at water's edge. Very close to Leelanau trail for hiking, biking and cross country skiing . Enjoy driving scenic M-22 around Leelanau County 30 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park- voted the Most Beautiful Place in America!! We are located within minutes of the approximately 25 wineries of Leelanau Peninsula and 9 miles south of downtown Suttons Bay's beach and marina. We are directly across from the Mission Peninsula which also has some wonderful wineries to enjoy. If you enjoy gambling or want to try something new, we are about 15 minutes from the Leelanau Sands Casino- Many entertainers are featured through out the year for live shows.

The setting is fantastic with seats at the end of the dock on the Bay, a fire pit and all that Northern Michigan feeling! We will stay here again! Highly recommend!

We have stayed at Vic and Nancy's for the past several years, typically in August, and truly enjoy the location and privacy offered. The carriage house is nicely decorated and well stocked for all your needs. It is very clean, colorful, and provides a wonderful view of their property and West Bay. We spend most mornings drinking coffee and swimming from their boat dock. The water is crystal clear and typically around the 70 degree mark this time of year. There are plenty of quaint towns nearby and the bike trail is only a couple miles from the house. Vic and Nancy are very personable and welcome us to enjoy their landscaped fire pit next to the shore line. They have always make us feel right at home including their lovable pup Louie. We both look forward to spending more pleasurable and quiet vacations at Vic and Nancy's. It feels like our own summer cottage. Yo won't be disappointed.

This place was absolutely perfect for my wife and myself. It is precisely as the pictures suggest. The view of Grand Traverse Bay is perfect. As the listing says, the owners (Nancy & VIc) are there if you need them, but are otherwise out of site. Just Perfect. PS We were the owners of property in the area until a few years ago. We know how the rental market works. This rental (Restful Nest) is as close to perfect as it gets!

Very quiet and peaceful. Perfect for me, I enjoyed coffee on the pier watching the water and paddle boarding. I go on vacation to relax - and this is perfect for that 🙌
Would not be a good place for small children - only access are stairs and no beach to play on.

The property was everything we were hoping for to enjoy a week on the Leelanau peninsula.
Communication was great, property was well-appointed, with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the kitchen was especially well-stocked with every pan or utensil you could need to prepare your own meals.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay.
