This is R&R in the best sense of a vacation. Enjoy your coffee on the lanai looking directly at the island of Lanai! Or, on the show-stopping front lawn as the waves break below you. This second floor condo (#208) includes granite countertops, bamboo cabinets, stainless-steel appliances, including dishwasher, a 55-inch flat screen smart Ultra 4L LG TV with the full menu of channels via Spectrum, toll-free calling back to North America, and Bluetooth-enabled sound Marshall system that streams directly from your smartphone. A new queen size sleeper sofa sits in front of the panoramic ocean views. The unit is finished throughout with beautiful Italianate tile. The bathroom has a stone-tiled walk-in shower. The bedroom is outfitted with a king bed, wood shutters and a multi-speed overhead fan. With the new queen sofa bed, this unit sleeps 3 comfortably, and is fully furnished with comfy linens. This resort (in the best sense of "resort") — but yet, a home away from home. Equipped with beach towels, a locking safe for valuables, free high speed internet with wi-fi access and free long distance to US & Canada. Beach chairs are available from the front office on the 1st floor. This immaculate Kihei Surfside condo has everything you’ll need for your dream Hawaii vacation. Our oceanfront vacation condo at the beautiful Kihei Surfside Resort in Kihei, Maui, is steps away from the ocean and offers turtle, dolphin and seasonal (Dec-April) whale watching, and spectacular Maui sunsets all year round. One of our favorite past times is drinking our morning coffee on the lawn and watching the sea turtles swimming in the water in front of the building. The islands of Lanai, Kaho’olawe and also and Molokini Crater can be seen from the property. The rocky beach front offers excellent snorkeling, best accessed from the beautiful golden sand of Keawakapu beach, one of Maui’s best beaches, just steps away behind the neighboring Mana Kai Resort. A 5-minute drive takes you to all the shops and restaurants of Kihei town or the Shops at Wailea. The condo is at the end of a long driveway from S. Kihei road, so that you don’t hear the traffic noise – just the ocean waves, birds chirping, and the sweet, incredible trade winds. We are directly oceanfront and the Pacific trade winds blow in right off the ocean each afternoon. These trade winds, along with ceiling fans in the living and bedrooms, keep the condo comfortable for most people. If you prefer a cooler temperature a brand new Daikin air conditioner has just been installed in the bedroom as of March 2024. We are unit 208, on the 2nd floor, in the center of the building, the view looks out across the lawn directly to the ocean. And, parking is free. Your place was wonderful. The location was great and allowed for perfect sunset views. Walking distance to the Kihei boat launch for tours and access to the walking trail along the coast down to the park. Many mornings were spent just watching the whales from the balcony. We greatly enjoyed how well stocked the unit was and being able to use the building laundry. Thank you for the welcome bag; it added a special touch. It was a wonderful 1st trip to Maui and we hope to return again. Mahalo.

We did not know what to expect but our experience was amazing. The grounds are maintained like a golf course green. The views from the balcony and the grounds themselves of islands, ocean and absolutely spectacular Hawaiian sunsets are worth the price alone. The room was clean and having the kitchenette for us was great. The condo owners were easy to contact and helped make this trip wonderful. We got married the week we were there and this place offers some of the most amazing picture oppurtunities of anywhere we have been. It does not offer a sand beach right on the property but there are more beaches than you can possibly need within walking distance. Again, beautiful views, quiet and relaxing compared to hotel properties. We would do this again in a heartbeat. Thank you to the Bland’s

Unfortunately we didn't get to make our trip to this beautiful property due to the Maui fire, but we want to express our deepest appreciation to the owners as they made a stressful unfortunate unforseen event less stressful. We turned on the news the day before we were scheduled for our 5 day vacation to find that Maui was on fire and although it wasnt in the area where we were staying the owners were quick to call us and without any hesitation they IMMEDIATELY refunded our money. We will definitely stay at this property at a later time as they are kind and considerate. We give them a 5 star rating. Thank you once again!

And I mean WOW!!! While WOW is an understatement!! This was our first trip to the islands. And let me just say… Steve and Connie made it AMAZING.
Both my wife and myself read through the previous reviews… and I can say this… we echo the comments of it being incredible. There was one review about it being “motel-esque”. If your goal is to come to the islands and stay in your room majority of your trip… this is not for you. Steve and Connie’s condo is perfect for a couple (even a family of 3-4). This condo came with EVERYTHING and more. They made this VRBO complete and fun. From beach towels and snorkeling gear to a cooler and beach chairs for the day or evening. The best part of this rental… was working with Steve and Connie. They were always available to make sure everything was better than okay.
As for the scenery… this condo is located 5 min south of the tourist area… so its QUIET!! Now if waking to roasters, birds, palm branches chatting, and the ocean waves would bother you.. don’t come here!! 😎
The morning walks with the sunrise and ocean waves (and of course coffee in hand) was so relaxing. Laying on the beach (1-2 min walk from the condo) in the afternoon (and of course with a glass of wine) was incredible. And finally… pool time, grill time, and partaking in the sunset ritual every evening was PRICELESS!! The conch shells blowing up and down the beach line and the orange, red, and green colors of the sun setting… lets just say.. WOW!!

My wife and I are retired. This unit was perfect for us. We've rented VRBO's in Canada, the US, and Europe and Steve was the best host we've dealt with. So helpful, informative, and quick to respond.
The unit was clean and very well equipped with modern appliances and furniture. The king size bed was very cozy. The view from the lanai was fantastic overlooking a huge green space with palm trees, the pool and the ocean. The sound of the waves hitting the shore was music all day and soothing at night. Steve's unit is angled perfectly so the sun lights up the edge of the lanai through the day but doesn't blare straight into the unit. It never gets too hot. Windows at the back of the unit allow a cool breeze through the unit either from the ocean, or down from the mountains all day and night.
Kihei Surf is meticulously maintained with friendly and helpful staff. Keawakapu beach is just a few steps away and has excellent snorkeling and miles of beautiful uncrowded sandy beach. So many turtles. This area of Kihei is past the very busy beaches and streets of Kameole beaches1, 2, and 3. Very quiet. No road noise. Easy access to the many wonderful and uncrowded beaches in Wailea.
We found groceries etc on Maui to be incredibly expensive. Upon arrival, stock up in Costco for the best prices on Maui. Note they don't take Mastercard. Get a Safeway customer card to access their discounts.
Next time in Maui, we'd love to stay there again! Thanks Steve!

Woke to beautiful seascape with whales cresting in distance. Clean charming unit. We understand ac to be installed in bedroom. While fan and windows made it comfortable ac will be welcome. Great lawn for yoga and workout. Steps from turtle resting area. Birdsong (except for early crowing rooster) was lovely,

Surfside is situated in a prime spot in Kihei, close to Wailea. Not on a sandy beach, but only a couple of hundred yards around the corner. The unique thing about Surfside is the enormous and immaculate grass area right outside the building. We enjoyed our 5 days there and the owner, Steve was very prompt in responding to our pairing hooking up with his Marshall sound system. He got hold of Dan, the property manager, who fixed the problem immediately. The apartment is quite small and could do with some upgrades, refreshing and replenishment of some kitchen utensils. Mahalo!

This property was close to everything you needed. The beach was a 5 minute walk and a 10 minute drive to all the food places down S. Kihei Road. We frequented the deli across the way every morning for their breakfast sandwich which was delicious. The place was also very clean and had most of the things we needed such as laundry detergent, Netflix, Wifi, coffee maker…
The sunset is also amazing from this place!

This experience exceeded my expectations. The view and atmosphere are breath taking, everything was very clean and well maintained. The property manager was a delight and the host responded within the hour when I had questions, also very friendly. I would not recommend if there are more than 2 guests due to small living space and 1 bathroom but it is perfect for 2 people.

We found the property to be clean and well equipped. However, the furnishing was a bit dated and it shows in the house, from bed frames, faucets to refrigerators. It was sad to see that even the toilet papers were of really inferior quality. The resort property itself feels undermaintaned and old, with a weird motel-esque vibe. Because of all of this, I would rate this property not more than 3 stars and not expect much from it.
But I am giving an additional 1 star for the absolutely gorgeous views from the living room. The views are just amazing. Lanai and proximity to the beach are just wonderful. You can just relax and enjoy the beautiful sunsets from your balcony or from the garden below.

A nicely maintained unit with one of the nicest views in Maui. Yes, it is busy and , at times, the pool overview and early morning calls of resident roosters are a part of the ambience. For us, it brings a vibrancy and color to a holiday experience. The unit is clean, well equipped and in the heart of what Kihei offers. The owners were just great in proving quick responses to our inquiries. We highly recommend this Unit and, hopefully we can return again next year!!

I love this location so much! The condo was just as described and super clean. The owners are easy to work with and prompt in answers. It’s perfect for 2 ppl, good for 3, but with 4 teen/adults it could be tight quarters. Absolutely loved this place and will be back again!

Wonderful stay at a beautiful oceanfront property! Lanai is perfect for sunsets and kitchen is fully stocked with all of the dishes and accessories you'll need if you want to cook any meals. As others have noted, there is no air conditioning (none of the units have it) but there are multiple windows and screen doors that open and fans in the bedroom to cool it down to sleep. Communication with the owners was great, always available by email or phone if necessary. The furniture was a bit uncomfortable inside the unit, but by no means a deal breaker for us as we were usually sightseeing, in the pool, or on the lanai watching sunset. Highly recommend!
