About this condo rental
Situated in Iowa, this attractive condo for $99 per night is a great choice for your next trip. The Garden View Suite offers 2000 square feet; an open floor plan for kitchen, living and dining; 3 very comfortable bedrooms; a tiled bathroom split into two rooms with the toilet and sink in one room and a deep soaking tub and sink in the other; free Wi-Fi and Satellite TV; a large patio with gas and charcoal barbeque grills and patio furniture overlooking the herb gardens. You will enjoy lots of natural light during the day and peaceful nights to for rest and renewal. This is an upstairs/downstairs duplex. We the owners live in the upstairs part of the duplex and are available if needed but give you total privacy otherwise. We are located in a lovely rural setting while still being only 2-5 minutes from downtown Luther College and downtown Decorah. The accommodations are private, spacious, and very convenient to restaurants, activities, and sites. Ample parking is available. There are walking trails on the property and space for campfires. Decorah is a thriving community with a wonderful mix of cultural opportunities including theatre, art galleries, biking / walking trails, parks, restaurants, organic foods, seasonal farmers market, education, and outdoor recreation including trout streams, canoeing, tubing, kayaking and fishing the Upper Iowa River.

The home is just outside of town but extremely easy to get to all of things Decorah has to offer while still being private and secluded with beautiful views of the sunrise every morning. We had everything we could need with ease to come and go as we needed and they were very generous to let us bring our dog with as well. Worth the stay!

Barbara's property was clean, spacious, and fully equipped with all the necessities. We were also blown away by the gorgeous setting. The pictures don't do it justice! The bird watching was amazing. Barbara was very kind and responsive to all our questions and very accommodating to our dog. This property is an excellent location to hiking, downtown, and craft breweries. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend!

This property was perfect for our family - adults, toddlers, baby, and even our two family dogs! It was very spacious, clean, fully equipped, and a great location! The property owners were readily available and gracious, but also respected our privacy. We'll stay there again!

The rental was in a lovely location not far from campus. The views from the home are really beautiful and there's a great garden in the back of the home. Very peaceful stay. We were charged extra because our daughter stayed with us one night. Wasn't aware of that policy when we booked.

Our stay was great! Check-in was super easy and the views from the house are spectacular. The house gives you a great country feeling but is close enough to town that it’s only a few minutes drive. The house was clean and everything we needed was there. Would definitely stay again next time we come to town.

Our stay was excellent. Couldn’t ask for more accommodating hosts and the space was clean and comfortable. All that we needed was there including abundant birds and wildlife! Our dog lived the place and was as sad to leave as we were. Would definitely rent again!

Sammy greeted us first. Sammy is the owners dog, what a nice and friendly dog. We did not bring our dog but wished that we had. It was quite, peaceful, with lots of birds to watch. We enjoyed the hummingbirds which put on quite an acrobatic show as only they can do. Would love to come again.

Overall we were very pleased with our stay. The place was spacious and comfortable inside, with lots of room for the dogs to play outside. The property managers were welcoming and laid back.
The only issue was that we pick up our dogs’ poo immediately, and the property managers do not pick up _their_ dog’s immediately, so we had to clean up after their dog several times.

The suite is super spacious and has everything you could need! There were games and puzzles and a nice patio area with plenty of seating. The bedrooms were spacious and it is decorated beautifully! I will assuredly be staying here again when i come to visot my son. Very clise to Decorah and Waukon.

A charming, large and well maintained home from home. The wildlife was just a joy to be surrounded by. The hosts were respectful and responsive. This was the perfect place for us to stay whilst visiting our son at Luther.

It was a great place to stay! 1 mile about to our destination straight there. Kids my husband and i will be making this a yearly stay! Makes you feel at home with all the games and thinga to do together to watching deer in the yard everyday! Loved it!!

We had a quick 2-night getaway. It was spacious, clean, and relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pans, appliances for cooking needs. Plenty of towels and nice bedding. It's the perfect distance from downtown Decorah, an easy 5-min drive.

This is a spacious vrbo, plenty of room. Gorgeous view. Hostess was great attentive to our needs and very friendly. We enjoyed visiting with Barbara and David. They were not intrusive at all. Kitchen was well stocked, plenty of towels, (which is important as we have stayed at some vebo and was given 1 washcloth for a week). They had movies, cable TV, games for all ages. The best part for us is they allowed our furbabies. This place was spotless and well kept. We will be back!

Great location just outside of town. Spectacular view and yard! Have stayed here twice, and would again. Inside is spacious. Beds are comfortable. Owners responsive, easy check in/ check out. Suggestion though...need to spray for bugs. Seen a few black beetle type bugs, silverfish and crickets in house. Also, tub/ shower not the greatest because of no curtain/ doors. Shower also had pink mold starting in corner/ edges. Dried food on place mats on table. For over $200.00 a night, expect more detail on cleanliness. Otherwise, totally enjoyed our stay.

This was a home away from home in a lovely, scenic setting that exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed stunning views overlooking dramatic hills, valleys and beautiful gardens. A well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, plentiful supplies of towels, abundant lighting and seating made for a relaxing stay for all 5 of us. Barbara was helpful and promptly answered any questions we had. Highly recommended!

Beautiful setting and views in the hills of Decorah. This property was very clean and spacious with large rooms and areas for family to relax. Also outdoor areas for relaxation were also great. We would definitely stay here again.

This rental was a beautiful, nature retreat. There were a variety of birds to watch everyday, deer and a couple of rabbits hopping about. The views are wonderful.

I wanted a place to enjoy the beautiful nature of NE Iowa and also some home comforts. I booked us here because I was impressed most with the kitchen items available and the deluxe tub also made this place stand out.
It was a place for me and my lifelong friend to catch up in a peaceful setting (girls getaway).
I brought some of the main ingredients I needed to bake a cake with my friend. I had everything I needed and then some. I was very appreciative that our host had a few additional items in the cabinet. It turned out that I had been short 1 c of flour, and there was a little bag of flour available. So, that saved the day for my cake. It was an Orange Olive Oil cake and turned out very well!
We did go out to visit Decorah, and even with the detour, it was really still very convenient to 2 people who grew up in Iowa.
We got to see plenty of birds, deer and horses in the area. I would return to have a visit again.
Also appreciated the access to internet and TV to use. We didn't end up watching TV really, but I did hook up my chromecast and shared a slideshow I had on YouTube and that was very helpful as well.

A comfy and roomy place with fantastic view from large well equipped covered patio. We will try and return for sure and the-hosts are the best! There are some steps but they are pretty easy ones for most folks if you have handy-cap it might be a problem.

We love the Decorah area and decided to bring our adult kids and two grandkids with us for a weekend of adventure. This home was perfect for our needs… so clean, so well appointed and with a truly stunning, natural, pretty yard and patio. The birds- oh my! Our host, Barbara, was gracious and even shared her garden produce with us. We also really appreciated being able to include our dog in our get away. I would not change a thing about this accommodation. We will be back, for certain!

We had a lovely time in the house, watching wildlife and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Our hosts were helpful when we had questions and we left there eager to return. They were kind to allow our small dog, because we don't travel without her!
