I’ll keep is short and sweet, and keep in mind, we were a ski group so results may vary if you go in the summer.
Pros:
- The place is adorable and well thought out
- There were little snacks on the kitchen counter which, after a long travel day, was heartwarming to see
- Appliances are very new which was awesome (washer, dryer, dishwasher, oven). Meant all of our home time was really convenient
- Hot tub was phenomenal
- If your group needs separate spaces, the upstairs and downstairs truly function as separate suites. We had a couple with an infant and could give them the whole downstairs
- The view is gorgeous
- The hosts are truly super hosts and were very polite and attentive
Cons
- At no fault of the place, the drive is pretty uneasy going up the switch backs and is not salted (weird for midwesterners). Definitely be cautious if going in tough conditions
- Again, no fault of the owners, getting to Breck is a bit odd. You are right next to the mountain, but do not have public transportation to get there. We found the best way to do it was to drive to the south gondola lot and take the gondola to peak 7. There is also the option to park for free at the airport lot and take a shuttle to the gondola if you want to save a couple bucks. But note that parking attendants will give you a discount for parking with four or more people in the gondola lot
All in all, this is a truly great place to stay and worth a 5 star rating!

We had a wonderful time in Colorado even though blizzard conditions. The 'Cabin' was an excellent place to stay in when the weather was not recommending we travel. The neighbor came over to help us a couple times with minor issues and was wonderful help to our stay.
THANK YOU,
Krister, Sandy, Kira, Maisah and Andrew

This Cabin is absolutely beautiful located in the Mountain, just like a postcard! You have your own area if you or kids would like to do a little sledding or build a snowman. The house is clean and cozy and has everything you need! I hope this cabin is available for years to come! Family memories were made ❤️

Had a hiccup at the start, the cleaners had the day wrong and showed up at the same time as we did so the cabin wasn't ready. But we went into town while they cleaned and everything else went great after that. Hot tub was great after some long hikes!

Quaint cabin with everything you need for a quiet mountain weekend. Our family had a great time hanging out and Laura was wonderful to work with.

Spent several weeks at this lovely cabin. The deck is fabulous, surrounded by Aspens and a quiet neighborhood that allows for privacy and tranquility.
The cabin is cozy but recently remodeled and updated . Good proximity to town, trails and shopping.
Our host was extremely helpful and responsive to all our needs . We already made plans to go back next Summer .

Wonderful quaint cabin with an incredible deck for relaxing. The cabin was great for a girls weekend.

We had a great stay at the cabin. We loved eating out on the deck. (FYI, for those with young kids, the table in the kitchen is counter-height with benches, which doesn't work well for little ones. This could be a problem if you stay in the winter.) The beds were comfortable and the showers had good pressure with plenty of hot water. The hosts were very generous with supplies (e.g., paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, laundry detergent, etc.), but there were no Kleenex, so be prepared to bring your own. We appreciated the baby gate provided for the stairs. The hot tub worked great and had a variety of features; we had a moose visit in the backyard while we were out there. The cabin feels a bit worn in places, but for our family with young kids, this was a good fit. The location is great--just a 10-minute drive up the mountain from town. We would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time on our vacation and this place was great for us to “call home” for the time we were there. Thanks so much!

Cabin is in a great location, close to town but still a little off the beaten path for peace and quiet. Really feels like you’re in your own private area while still have the convenience of Breck nearby. The cabin itself was clean, and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. Had a great tim.

Started our stay right after ski season, 1st week of June. Gorgeous mountain view and conveniently located mins from Breck! Wildlife everywhere, spotted a black bear the first day just a few yards away while hanging out on the porch, a young moose the 2nd day as well as foxes and coyotes throughout the stay. The cabin was so comfortable and clean, everything you need to cook a good meal and entertain! My boys, 9/11 rarely played games and enjoyed exploring the countryside, hiking, and looking for wildlife! We will visit again during winter to check out the snowboarding since its less than a mile away to the Gondola!!

Great stay, excellent communication from the owner and manager. The location is excellent for all things Breck, literally a 7 minute drive from Peak 7&8 drop off points. Out of owners control, but a warning, the road leading to the home is steep and on one day, we had 0 traction doing down the road and luckily were able to get into a neighbor's driveway. Another vehicle had to ditch into the snow bank. According to the neighbor this is doesn't happen often, but when it does, you have to have tire chains and you'd have to know to put them on before you headed down. The neighbor let us hang in his driveway for a bit and we were ultimately able to make it to the property by putting it in 4 Low and taking down the tire pressure to very low to create a better tire patch. Just know this could be an issue, but don't let it stop you from being a guest at this awesome place to stay. Hope to be back one day.

We had a wonderful time in this cozy cabin. Great location to skiing and amazing views!! Cabin had all the amenities we needed for a fantastic stay!!

Our party was four (4) adults. Our purpose was to ski and snowmobile. Our respective kids are mostly grown and out of the house.
The cabin was very nice. You know how there are some VRBO's where you're in a time machine and you were sent back to the 1960's? This is not that cabin. The decor and layout was very comfortable. When we were in the cabin, we spent our time drinking water, sports drinks, and eating bananas to prepare for the next day's events.
The cabin was clean. Coffee makers worked. The fireplace was wonderful!
Very close to Breck.. If you want to drop skiers off at Peak 7 or 8, you will be extra close. If you want to park at gondola lot or airport parking lot, it is further.
You will need/want to have AWD or 4WD in winter. I always rent a 4WD drive in winter regardless of location when skiing in Colorado.
I had one issue where I needed to contact owners. They were responsive and dilemma was handled quickly.
I also thought the cabin was reasonably priced for the number of beds, location, and decor.
This VRBO is now top of my list to rent when I return to ski.

My wife and I loved staying at the cabin this past weekend. It was our first ski trip in over 15 years but found ourselves just enjoying the peace and quiet of the house as much as flying down the mountain. The fireplace was great in the morning while having coffee as well as after we got back from skiing. We will stay there again the next time we are in town.

Good times again for our family and friends. Focus is snowboarding, but rental remains unbelievable, well stocked, close to the action, great hot tub and game room, and reliable hosts. Much thanks to Laura for alerting us of roadside parking, avoiding a tow, and keeping the young adults in line! We’ll return next year!

The Cabin on Peak 7 is off the beaten path with switch-backs and hilly terrain so make sure to bring an AWD/4WD in the winter. The Cabin is hidden down a few stair cases from the parking level so it gives it a lot of privacy - when you look out from the living area, you see the town of Breckenridge below (very pretty). The Cabin has just about everything you would want with some minor exceptions (could use more tupperware, coffee pot is 1960's vintage but works, hot tub was in standby for a couple days). The main floor has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, and family room. The downstairs has another bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, and large game room with foosball and games. There is a pot belly stove downstairs but it is chained off (for owner's use). The Hot Tub is also off this level a few feet outside the sliding glass door. The top level has a nice deck with grill that we used one night to cook up steaks. The fireplace is gas and was a bit quirky to get going but finally figured it out by turning on, waiting for it to light and warm up, then switch to remote. The Smart TV has numerous Apps with YouTube TV. Overall, we absolutely loved the property. The only small gripe is the bathrooms are very petite (my shaving kit barely fit on the counter-top) but fully functional. Kitchen has all the utensils you would want and they stock paper towels, dish detergent, dishwasher pods, washing machine pods, etc. This is definitely a plus since buying every small item eventually adds up. I would love to return to this property again someday. I did have to contact the owner, Laura, about the Hot Tub and she was very responsive and pleasant to deal with. I was there with my teenage kids and they really enjoyed themselves also. PS: We skied mainly Breckenridge but my son ventured to Steamboat with his friends for a couple of days.

We had a great stay in Breckenridge. There was plenty of room for our two families to spread out and the house was well stocked with cooking utensils and necessities. The kids loved loved playing in the snow and sledding on the property. We also enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. The property manager who lives next door was very friendly and helpful with clearing snow from the stairs and deck. Would definitely recommend this property when staying in Breckenridge.

This cabin is so cozy and perfectly situated with views to downtown Breck! Perfect size for 2 couples with kiddos. The hottub outside of the walk out basement was such a nice feature after a long day on the slopes. Owners description of property is very accurate. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely look to book again on our next ski trip to Breck!

We had a great time. I loved the location and the mountain views. The bathrooms had full size body/hair wash supplies in the shower, I thought that was a nice touch. House is spacious and private from neighbors. Only reason I didn't give it a 5th star for overall is the steps going to the basement, where the 3rd bedroom, 2nd bathroom and laundry room are a little steep...wasn't a huge deal, but might be an issue if you have an elderly person.
Overall we had a wonderful trip and would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time at the cabin in the mountains for our honeymoon! We loved the deck overlooking the trees and mountains/valley. We especially loved the fireplace and the hot tub. The foosball table in the basement was also a nice touch!
We even got to town a little early and Laura and James responded quickly and were flexible in letting us check in early!

Such an amazing cabin and location. We travel to Breckinridge often and this is one of the best places I’ve stayed. A real gem! Great communication with owners…loved everything about it!

Very nice quaint property with more than enough room for us and no noise or traffic. Plenty of options for kids or grownups acting like kids to have fun. Spent most time on the deck by the fire. Very relaxing. Modern amenities with the old school cabin feel.

We have rented other properties in Colorado and this place was our favorite. The cabin was neat and comfortable. The location was peaceful and private. Our family loved sitting on the deck drinking coffee and watching the sunrise. It was close to hiking trails which we really enjoyed. It was also close to Breckenridge. I would encourage anyone to stay there. We had a great time.
