My husband and I met up with our couple friends for a New Year's weekend away. They had never been to Niagara Falls before. The Copper Penny was the perfect home base for our explorations. It's close enough to the falls and downtown to be very convenient, but far enough to enjoy a bit of quiet from the chaos. Jing was very quick to communicate and fix the only tiny problem that we had. I found the bed and pillows very comfortable. The large living room with 3 sofas was the perfect place to unwind after a full day sightseeing. And we loved the water pressure in the showers. I would definitely want to stay in this lovely home if I am back in the area.

Gorgeous historic home close to all the attraction in Niagara. Our family of four had lots of space to spread out in the house and yard. The kitchen is well equipped, the BBQ is an awesome bonus and the house was very cozy. The oven was broken when we arrived but the owners were super responsive and had it fixed for us very quickly. We would definitely stay in one of their properties again. Thanks for allowing us to share your beautiful home!

We came for a short visit to Niagara Falls on our way home. The home was everything we could have asked for. The area was great. Quiet neighborhood. Quick drive to White Water Walk where you can take the Wego down to the rest of the tourist attractions.

This house has a ton of history and is kept up beautifully. The bathrooms and kitchen are updated. The dining room table is gorgeous, and considering the houses age we had to turn the heat down and it got quite chilly. The location to clifton hill is perfect and we walked there twice. Plenty of parking closer to clifton hill is easy to locate. Host was responsive about a question i had within 10 minutes. I would highly recommend!!

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home...such character! We all love antiques. My 12 & 14 y/o granddaughters felt at home right from the start. Loved having their own bedrooms and two bathrooms is a necessity with teenage girls. They want us to come back with their parents. Very clean, well stocked. Being so close to the WEGO bus stop was another huge plus. We would highly recommend your home to anyone and would love to come back again. God Bless! Norton, Ohio

Nicely updated older home. Location was a bit farther from the Falls than we anticipated, but still walkable. Enjoyed our stay!

Home had a great combination of areas for different ages we had - large green areas for playing ouside, large dining room table for games, great front porch to have morning coffee and conversation, great living room with lots of seating, great upstairs bedrooms and these are great things about the house. Near all activities, including being able to walk down to Falls that several took advantage of, both in the morning and at night to see fireworks. Great choice for multi-age group from grands and kids.

Wonderfully historic period residence in need of just a little upgrade and/ or maintenance to push it to 5 star. Challenging front door lock almost caused a crisis but owner got it corrected while we did additional touring in the area. Beds are queens and not kings (I doubt kings would fit); bedroom blinds took a bit of patience to operate; unpainted floor trim piece in upstairs bathroom along with minor staining around metal in tub/shower; small hole in bottom of wall and wallpaper next to top of stair; oversized couches in what used to be the dining room; none of these things negatively impacted our stay or our enjoyment of the ambiance of the property.

We were very pleased with our week end at the Copper Penny house!
We were in the area for a wedding, five adults (two couples and one single adult) and the three bedrooms and two bathrooms were perfect for our group.
The locations was great - less than 20 minutes walk to Clifton Hill and very close to the road along the river that took us up towards Niagara on the Lake for wedding-related events.
We were very happy to have parking for two vehicles as we arrived in two groups in two cars.
We have stayed in several dozen VRBO rentals and found this to be one of the best equipped we've rented - bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, you name it, we had everything we needed and more.
The place was very clean when we arrived, and communications with the owner were excellent, with timely, helpful responses.
We would have liked to have had a spare key but the owner suggested a viable work-around that enabled us to come and go in separate groups.
All in all an excellent rental experience that we highly recommend to anyone visiting Niagara Falls.
Many thanks for sharing this wonderful old home with us.

Rented this property for a nearby wedding. It was perfect. Great location near the Falls, and short drive to Niagara On The Lake. The house had everything. The owners were so thoughtful on what to have available in the house, we weren't missing a thing. Furniture, beds etc were very comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower. Large dining room table for us to gather around. Front porch overlooking the greenery of a park was perfect for that morning coffee. We simply could not have asked for more. An absolute 10 out of 10. Thank you Jing for an amazing stay !!

This property was very clean and comfortable - everything as noted in listing. Great walking distance to falls and easy driving distance to Niagara on the Lake and St. Catherine's. This is the first time we've not had to contact an owner with any issues while staying in their home. Loved it. Highly recommend.

This house met our needs for a short trip to the falls. Large well-stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, 2 spacious bathrooms, comfortable living room, nice front porch. One of the queen beds was creaky and a bit soft. It was fine for 3 nights, but I wouldn't want to sleep on it longer than that. The window AC units kept the house very comfortable, although could be a bit loud when turning on. The side and back yard were overgrown and needed some TLC. We did enjoy the lovely front porch though. The host was very accommodating when I needed to adjust the dates of our trip a couple of months before our stay.

This property was charming. Being an older property, there were a few drawbacks - lack of accessible outlets in the bedrooms for charging phones being one of them. The neighborhood is older, but we appreciated the quiet after managing the crowds and traffic around the Falls. From the description of "walking distance to the Falls" I expected a closer walk. Overall, the property was clean, well kept, and a nice place to relax with the kids after a day of adventure.

We found the house charming and comfortable, as well as convenient to the Falls and tourist area restaurants and activities. In addition we enjoyed a local joint Taps for meals and brews and trivia night. Kitchen is reasonably well-equipped, all very clean, and we enjoyed grilling outdoors. Hosts were very responsive and we had no major issues. Highly recommend for couples and families.

The house was truly lovely. It reminded us of a home we rented years ago in St. Louis from the same time period, although this house was much better cared for and preserved. Our kids had fun exploring all the nooks and crannies that exist in homes from another era, as well as the super-fun doorbell.
All in all, the property was very clean and well-prepared. The exception would maybe be the backyard, but it looks like that is a work in progress, and we did come during the transition season, so I'm guessing clean-up yard work might be coming.
The ONLY issue we really had with the property is that the listing says that there is air-conditioning. As is common in houses of that age, central air is difficult to do, which is fine. There IS a wall unit on the stairs that is clearly present to help cool the upstairs, however, it was at best incredibly confusing to operate ... and at worst, inoperable (which seemed to be the case for us). It was incredibly loud with vibration, and despite my best efforts, I could only get it to blow ... not blow cold. So we had to resort to opening windows at night, which was difficult because not all the windows were screened.
Thankfully though, we weren't there during the summer, and we only had to deal with one really hot day. However, I imagine it might be a bit unbearable during Niagara's peak seasons.
Apart from that, we loved the property, the location, and our stay there. :)

This was my first time going to Canada, but hands down the best place I ever been to. It's such a unique house, so many cool details. So much space for the price you're paying. The host is amazing and so helpful and quick with the replies with all of our needs during the stay. Definitely will be staying here again. So close to so many shops as well. Overall amazing!

We loved the Copper Penny House! It was cozy, warm, and comfortable while sightseeing at Niagara Falls. The house was very clean and had everything we required during our stay. There was plenty of space for our 6 person travel group. The wi-fi and internet access was spotty, but adequate. Tourist areas were very close and accessible. The immediate neighborhood was quiet and felt safe enough. We definitely would stay here again.

Great stay! We enjoyed the home very much. Nice kitchen and we liked the dining area. Plenty of living room space. Bedrooms upstairs are nice. Pull-out couch is uncomfortable for 2 adults, and we ran out of hot water on day of checkout...in the middle of a shower! Could have been a fluke...wouldn't keep us from staying again!
