About this cabin rental
Situated in Ohio, this attractive cabin for $179 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Welcome to our cozy cabin in the Hocking Hills, a secluded retreat on a 42-acre ridgetop. This is one of the best-stocked cabins you'll ever see, and we take pride in providing a clean, comfortable, and peaceful environment for our guests. The cabin is perfect for couples, families, or groups of up to 6 guests, with bed space for 5 an auxiliary air mattress, and a comfortable sleeper sofa. The big-screen Roku smart TV has YouTube TV available, and you can also log in to your own streaming services. The real highlight of our cabin is the incredible spa, designed for up to 6 guests and with a top-of-the-line filtration system. You can soak in the spa while surrounded by the fantastic forest backdrop during the day or enjoy some of the best stargazing in Ohio on a clear night. If you're feeling adventurous, you can explore the 42-acre property on your own. There are a few old logging roads that are great for hiking, but keep in mind that they aren't currently maintained, so some bushwacking may be needed. Long pants are highly recommended. While there is one other cabin (listing #1781220) within eyeshot on the property, it is 500+ feet away, so you're about as secluded as it gets! Although the cabin is secluded, it's less than 25 minutes from Hocking Hills State Park, which offers a range of outdoor activities for visitors. Tar Hollow is also nearby and has a public swimming lake. The internet is completely free of charge and is a high-speed low latency Starlink connection, making it easy to stream video or do video calling. We keep our base rate on the low end and charge additional guest fees based on the number in your group. There are no guest fees for the first two guests. Please be honest about the number in your group, as we reserve the right to retain the damage deposit if we find that more beds and/or towels were used than the number of guests specified. We also highly recommend that you purchase your own travel insurance in case of the need to cancel due to a positive COVID-19 case in your group. The last mile of the road is gravel, but it's worth it! Standard sedans are usually fine as long as you drive slowly and strategically. Sporty low-clearance vehicles should be avoided. All-wheel drive is recommended in the winter months in case there is snow on the ground. Hunting is only allowed if both cabins on the property are rented at the same time (#1713482 and #1781220). A $250/day fee applies. Finally, please take note that we are not responsible for items left behind. Any items that are requested to be mailed back will cost a $100 fee plus the cost of shipping. We had the best time staying in this cabin! It was the perfect getaway and just what my boyfriend and I needed to recharge. I especially loved watching the sun rise through the trees from the hot tub every morning!
The owners were amazing with communication and even let us check in early when we asked. Also, the cabin was extremely well stocked with everything we could need (paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, etc.) we really appreciated having all that there.
The other reviews were accurate in saying you can definitely see the other cabin but I feel like in spring/summer the trees would be grown in enough where you couldn’t see it.
Random tip- if you’re planning on doing laundry, the whole cabin will shake when the spin cycle is on. I turned it on early one morning while my boyfriend was sleeping and it was enough to wake him up.
We had the best time staying here and would highly recommend to anyone else!

Communication with the owner/manager was outstading. They are friendly and seem to really care. Know that by pet friendly they also mean that there is dog hair on every dog accessible surface. Pet people probably don't care. I am not a pet person.

It was our first getaway together. It was great to have a little slice of nature for 2 days. It was my 2nd time at Hocking Hills & my my BF first time.
We took a hike to old man’s cave. We loved the views including the waterfalls. This was about 25 min drive.
The cabin was stocked well but I would suggest to supply a few extra blankets as I forgot to pack extras. The couch in the tv room & the dining room table need to be replaced. We did not trust the chairs so we did not use the dining room table at all & the couch was very uncomfortable as there is some kind of a bar that will jab your butt when you sit on it on the one side.
Overall it was a great place & we would stay again. The hot tub was great to relax in after a day of hiking.

We enjoyed our stay here while hiking at Hocking Hills. Very quiet woodsy area except when the neighbors must've been shooting at some targets. Really happy we could bring our dog without paying an arm and a leg in cleaning fees. Hot tub was nice and clean and relaxing. My only complaint would be that it maxed out at 104° but it didn't actually feel very hot. We still enjoyed it though. Even in the rain!

I was looking to stay in the woods where I could only hear nature, far enough from any light pollution so I could see the dark night sky, and relax in a hot tub - and this cabin delivered. It is located on a beautiful, secluded, serene ridgetop area with lots of trees but also an open sky to view the stars from the hot tub, which is full size!
The cabin is simple yet well-equipped and fully stocked.
Comfy beds, a fireplace to read by, a sun room to relax in, and the kitchen - though it lacks a dishwasher, being small - is well provisioned enough to cook dinners after a long day of hiking.
It's pet friendly (obv. a prereq.), and my pups loved snoozing in the sun in the sun room and on the porch. Speaking of, the porch has a big tree going through it with lights, reminiscent of the Party Tree in the Shire! I really loved it!! That tree is magnificent. There are some lovely and fascinating species of trees and plants in the area, I would love to see it in spring.
We drove an SUV, so we were able to get to the cabin just fine. I do strongly recommend following the guidance of the owners when it comes to navigation - we got mixed up a couple days into our trip and (partially) went up a road called Election - DO NOT DO THIS. We got down fine, but we had a funny Halloween story!
Overall absolutely a 5 star cabin, honestly the only thing I would change is having a dishwasher and maybe stronger water pressure, but otherwise, this is like a dream cabin for me!

The cabin is exactly as pictured. The other cabin on the property would definitely be very visible in late fall, winter and early spring without the benefit of tree cover, but otherwise the property is really nice.

Quite roomy, this secluded cabin was central to all the Hocking Hills site-seeing areas. Hot tub needed a bit of TLC, but cabin was nicely decorated, fully equipped with everything you need and very clean.

For the very large cleaning fee, I was really disappointed in the cleanliness. The shower was very dirty. Shower corners clearly not cleaned evident by the pink and mildew caulk lines. The outdoor furniture was also FILTHY. I realize it is outdoor furniture but these are next level caked with dirt and bird poo. I had to clean myself before using.

My wife, Rook (dog) and myself were able to escape hustle and bustle of life, enjoying a few days relaxing and hiking through Hocking Hills. The cabin was perfect for us. It was remote (having a truck makes the drive once off the paved roads much easier) & quiet, with a very spacious property for our pup to explore and run around in. The cabin had everything we needed and was nice & tidy when we arrived. The hot tub was a added bonus, to enjoy a soak after a long day of hiking. Would highly recommend if you are looking to visit Hocking Hills and have a dog.

Couldn’t use the hot tub the first night because the water was green, but the coordinator let us know and the hot tub people were out late that evening. Hot tub is out in the open and there is another cabin that you can see from it. Not as secluded as I thought, but it was still a good time. Well stocked kitchen, had everything we needed. Good knife set too. Tap was drinkable and tasted fine.

It was a beautiful property. It was close to hocking hills. We got remote with the ability to still do everything we wanted. I actually really enjoyed needing my truck to get there. You can get there in a car but i wouldnt suggest it. My favorite part was actually coming across a couple box turtles laying their eggs in the back of the yard.
