The house is very nice. Great view of the valley beneath. The clouds pool on top of the valley in the morning. Mr Dave is very nice. We didn't get to meet him in person, but spoke with him a few times. We will definitely be back.

With our dog Grover in tow, my husband and I wanted to get away for a week of stupendous fall colors - and while we may have missed the mark by a week or two on the burst of colors, the overall scenery was wickedly good. The surrounding areas of Chatanooga, Lookout Mountain, Jasper, Trenton, and Chickamauga offered plenty of sight-seeing, dining, and brewery/distilled options.....we were busy enjoying the area and the views every day without fail.
We got to meet Dave - very nice man - and discuss our desire to maybe find a place of our own in the area.....we fell in love with it that much!
All in all - could not have been happier with the choice to stay at the Bolling's Above the Clouds Chalet.

The property is comfy enough and the view is great. This property is a duplex; the downstairs living area is very compact, while the upstairs bedroom is very spacious (2 beds, 2 sitting areas and a bath). The kitchen has appropriate appliances with basic (but minimal) cookware/dining utensils/serve-ware, etc. The property is maintained by the owner, whose home adjoins the property. Cloudland Canyon State Park is nearby and worth the visits.

My wife and I were looking for somewhere to go to get away for a few days. When I saw this property listed on VBRO and I saw the view. I knew this was the property for us. The owners of the property are so very nice and they take great care of the property. everything you need to have a wonderful getaway with family or friends is included. my wife and I commented on our way home that this was probably one of the best getaways we’ve had in the last 10 years we would highly recommend staying.

Though it rained all week, we still had a wonderful family getaway here. All the comforts of home, high in the Georgia Mountains. Beautiful views overlooking the green valley below. Just minutes from Tennessee and Alabama. We visited both Chattanooga & Huntsville while we were there. We found time to visit the local state parks too. And the raindrops on the metal roof were great for long afternoon naps. Just the perfect place for the 3 of us to relax & unwind. Highly recommended!!

We loved the property! There was so much space, do much to see, and the view at the back of the house left us speechless. The fire pit was fun, and it was safe to take the stroller with the babies and walk on the country road. The neighbors were friendly and Dave, the owner was especially kind and thoughtful. Spent the weekend enjoying the huge scenic windows sipping coffee & watching the sunrise, local hiking in the afternoons & out to dinner in Chattanooga-just a short drive away. We relaxed in the hot tub & spent time celebrating our wonderful mother. The bathroom & kitchen had all the essentials & then some. Cooking was made easy with the extensive available supplies.

The property was clean and convenient to many areas we visited. I would definitely rent this chalet again and recommend it to our friends. The owners were very friendly. The only issue was that our confirmation email gave us the wrong house number, but we contacted the owner, Dave, and he quickly attended to our needs.

This experience has led me to really appreciate the accommodations that were made for me and my wife as I am in a wheelchair. I have looked for so many places and this one has not only made our stayed very possible but also with such hospitable hosts that made us feel so welcomed as if we were family.
The fellowship and opportunity to get to know this couple whom provided for us was much more than we could have asked for.
It was an experience in their home which gave us everything we needed to enjoy our stay and even have the privilege of sending us off with a prayer for our safe travels.
Who could have asked for a better experience. We already look forward to the next time we get to see and catch up with this beautiful couple who Ministered to us. We have hope to return soon with more to join us and enjoy "An unforgettable blessing"!

True to the VRBO description, the views were absolutely amazing and the location perfect for our visit to Cloudland Falls and only a short drive (40 minutes) to Chattanooga. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and although dated, (I am note talking about the antique furniture) the home was comfortable. Plenty of room with a good separation of private spaces for more than one couple.
We ABSOLUTELY loved our stay and I really want to give this home a straight up 5 star rating and could do so if it weren't for a couple of very "fixable" concerns. Carpet, upholstery, and general cleanliness. The carpet appears to be quite old and is stained in several areas and in need of a good vacuuming, especially along the baseboards and between furniture and walls. The upholstery on the furniture is also in need of a good cleaning. In general, a good deep cleaning of the home is needed. The coffee pot still had coffee residue from the last occupants, there was food stuck onto items like hand can opener, a spatula, and some flatware.
As I mentioned, EVERY other aspect of this home and our stay was 5 stars!!! The rest is just cosmetic and easily resolved.

Property in need of maintenance. Hot tub was broke when we got there, no hot water. Previous customers did not sweep well and we had trash under the recliners. Glass on back porch from broken window that wasn't completely cleaned up. Coffee pot was missing filter basket. Owner had to be called there numerous times. Reset water heater like the owner said, still no hot water up stairs. Owner stated he knew about the issue with the hot tub and water heater for sometime. Owner arranged for contractor to come on Sunday morning to install 2 storm doors. The contractor was suppose to be there at 9:45. They were there by 9:15. I will say this, Owner did bring us his coffee filter basket, and he did come and partially fix hot tub. By the first morning. With still having hot water issues, we opted to just grin and bare it. Sign by front door with directions for leaving match on line. However, sign by sink, says to sweep floors. On line description of this property talks about a covered porch, that is actually the other 2 rentals on the property, not "above the clouds". I will say this from living in Gatlinburg,, tn, the view from the back deck is amazing.

Our stay was quick, but satisfying. The views are absolutely lovely. The house has everything you need for a getaway up on the mountain. The property is conveniently located to Cloudland Canyon State Park for some great hiking, and it is a short drive to Chattanooga. We are looking forward to booking another stay in the near future
