We "Thank" all our Past Guest and our New Guest! Please take a few minutes and read our reviews and you will learn exactly what a Fabulous time you will have at "Our Little Piece of Heaven". My mother named our home in 1993 when we purchased it from the orginal owner. And downstairs name is "The Wolff Den"! We truly have a special home at "THE EDGE OF AMERICA"! LOCATION/LOCATION/LOCATION!! WE ARE 100 YARDS FROM THE BEACH, FISHING PIER, TIDES HOTEL, AND OUR COMMERCIAL DISTRICT! YOU CANNOT ASK FOR A BETTER PLACE AND THE OWNER'S Hospitality! My father & I renovated the entire downstairs to make "The Wolff Den" something special. There are two rooms plus a covered patio and a concrete area for you personal use. You now can grill out and have fresh seafood, steak, etc.. on our brand new gas grill right outside your door. We added a small "Oster" oven one big enough to baked potatoes, pizza, bread, veggies. Also on the grill there is a side burner for eggs and bacon to start your morning off. When you walk into the unit you will find our kitchenette, with your appliances, full refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and our new Oster oven....sink for washing dishes and a large shower. Then you will walk into the bedroom area with a queen size bed, a futon for a 3rd person, a new desk in case you need to touch base with work , a new flat screen 40" TV install on the wall which can be moved for your viewing with 200 channels n free wi/fi provided by Comcast. And you have your half bath area. There are 2 separate doors you can used to enjoy your covered patio to relax, catch up with one another or just sit and watch the 'Folly's" walk by...what a site that is!! lol... Brand new furniture including a love seat, 2 nice chairs, and a glass table. Also we have a table to use to eat, drink, and be merry. You will enjoy your stay with us! Period! We also provide private off street parking which is a huge advantage that you will definitely appreciate! Any questions or concerns... Please contact us and we will assist you with any request. The property was centrally located to everything- most of all the beach. We could walk instead of having to drive. The owner is very personable and informative. I would definitely stay there again. Enjoyed every moment!!

Now , I must say, if you like room service and your sheets turned down, this place is not for you. I would not call it Spartan but it is small, utilitarian...and
ONE BLOCK FROM EVERYTHING!
It is small. It is the "basement" of a house at the beach.
My wife and I just adore coming here and will do so every year as long as we can!
Carl is the consumate host. He so diligently attends to his guests needs and makes us feel so welcome.
Some people have bad mouthed this unit and I hate that.
I think the last seven years of good reviews speak volumes for Carl and The Wolf's Den and we're looking forward to our next visit.

Property was a disappointment. Musty smell. Television didn’t work two days. Shower was in kitchen. Very messy outside around property.

We had a blast at the best location in town. Carl is a fantastic host, and talking with him is a big part of what makes this place great. It has everything you need, and is cool, cozy, and comfortable. You couldn’t be more in the think of it, but once inside, feel a million miles away. Thanks again Carl! See you soon…. Love ya’!

Everything said previously about how accommodating and helpful the host was is completely true! He has thought of everything you might need to enjoy Folly! In addition to Wolffie's helpfulness, the property really couldn't be in a much better location, so close to the beach, the pier, and Center Street restaurants and it comes with your own, private parking spot. We will be back, for sure!!

If you want a cozy, comfortable place that's right in the middle of all the action, look no further. This property is literally right around the corner from Folly's main drag, and a block from the ocean. So convenient, and so perfectly located. The owner is super nice and helpful, and we really hated to leave. It was a wonderful trip, and a perfect vacation rental. Highly recommend staying here!

The property was located in the middle of everything. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go! Loved the patio and the 70s music from across the road! Carl and Mr. Wolff were great hosts and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Great little place!

The porch is the best part. Very quiet and spacious. The owners are very helpful and pleasant to interact with. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back again soon.

This property is located in the heart of Folly Beach. This is a lower level of an old beach house with a no frills beach experience. Marty is a parking attendant who was great to communicate with and would assist in any way to make your stay enjoyable. This unit would only be large enough for 2 people. You must adapt to a smaller kitchen with most cooking done on the outside grille. I enjoy grilling so we loved it. Fishing off the new Folly Beach pier is an exexperience I recommend. My wife and I enjoyed many beach walks. Beach access is a 2 minute walk across the street. Overall, the great location made this a great getaway. The owner was out of town for most of our stay so we didn't get much interaction.

The location was great! Short walk to the beach, pier, and restaurants. I’ve looked into several places in this area and it’s the only one I found with a private parking spot. The room has all you need and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch each morning. The hosts are father/son and they are both great! Both are very friendly and hospitable. I highly recommend this spot and plan to stay again in the summer.

What a great place! I had a super time! This little bungalow was perfect for me and very clean. I traveled alone and I felt very safe here. The owners were right upstairs and checked on me throughout my stay to make sure I was comfortable and answered all my questions about the area. I never even had to move my car! The beach is within walking distance and the center of Folly is only steps away!! There is a store very close for the little things you forgot to bring and the restaurants and nightlife are just around a corner!! There is an outdoor patio area where I sat and read. Just a perfect trip. I will be staying here again!!

We had a relaxing time in this cute and cozy basement apartment! It had everything we needed, was in a great location, and was just perfect for the two of us.

Our Stay @ Carl’s
The Wolff’s Den is a quaint little place w/ a covered patio to enjoy! Folly beach is about 1 1/2 blocks away! You can walk right out the door & you’re basically in the heart of town! You do not need your car! There are restaurants, bars & Bert’s grocery store within a block. Carl Jr. is such a nice guy. & will help you w/any question that you may have & if he’s not there, go next door & talk to Andy! He’s a nice, fun & helpful guy also! I did get to meet Carl Sr. briefly & he was very nice too! I plan on returning to visit them all again! I had a blast! I will miss it! Thank you, Julie & Tony K.

The location couldn’t be any better. We got a rental car but only used it to go to downtown Charleston. Easy walk to all the restaurants/bars in Folly Beach and the beach. Perfect spot for a couples vacation. Nice little beach studio with everything you need. Carl was extremely helpful and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again. Parking is a huge plus at the studio as well.

The only hesitation I had about recommending this place to stay at is that I want it open for every available weekend I have. It’s the best! My husband and I got to live our stay like locals and we were so warmly welcomed by the entire community. Honestly, we can’t say one negative thing about our stay.

Location and Price are Hard to Beat
Good place to stay for couples - shower setup might be awkward for others. Very close walking distance to restaurants and the beach which is hard to find without spending an arm and a leg. Carl is very nice and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. If you plan to be out and about adventuring most of the time or are going for a shorter trip, this is a great home base. If you're planning a longer trip or want to relax more at the place you're staying, this might not be the best fit. This is essentially a renovated basement/lower level so it might not meet everyone's standards for a home away from home.
