Ocean Sands Resort with a nice Oceanfront Balcony

Nestled in Virginia Beach, this lovely resort for $315 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. These are 1 bedroom 1 bath timeshare units with full kitchens and everything you need. The resort is oceanfront on VA Beach. The resort is ranked 12 out of 115 in VAB. This unit sleeps up to 4 people and is conveniently located at 23rd and Atlantic in the heart of Virginia Beach. Great place to ride bikes or rollerblade. Unit has a full kitchen stocked with pots pans and dishes so no need to eat out. flat screens in the living room and bedroom, really comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. The boardwalk, restaurants, bars, night life, roller coasters and rides, mini golf, arcades, and the ocean front and beaches are all right downstairs/close by. Great place for kids and adults. The city of VA Beach pays bands and street acts to perform on every other street corner every night between 17th and 30th Street. Free concerts at the several pavilions up and down the boardwalk. Great place to ride bikes or rollerblade. Parking included. Indoor pool and hot tub. Arcade games, gym, activities, grocery delivery from Harris Teeter. 45 minutes from Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. Note I use a rental management software called OwnerRez. This means you will receive email from this platform in addition to VRBO with things like my rental agreement, etc...

Great stay great property near every thing you need.

The employees at the office in the later hours, after 4:00 were below par. That’s when we were in the condo and had questions. A night manager would be very beneficial.

Great Location! Walking distance to almost everything! Was impressed with the cleanliness of the beach! The room was perfect except minor issues! The TV in the bedroom didn’t work for the first night and we reported it to the night crew at the front desk. Said they'd send someone at 10am. I don't think they contacted anyone! No one showed up. When we went down in the early afternoon, they were right on it. Fixed within an hour. Worked for the rest of the day until the next night and went out again! Gave up! The spa tub didn't work. And there was pink mold/stains only in the jets, which we couldn't use anyway! It's a housekeeping issue!.The soap in the shower wall dispenser was empty. Bring your own hairdryer and essentials! I'm glad i did! The unit is really nice otherwise! The pool is also on this floor! I would recommend this rental as long housekeeping is more thorough! Would I come back, yes! Make sure the restaurant on site knows that the room you are staying in is a timeshare unit! It is the only way to get the discount! We didn't receive it because we didn’t mention that, just that we were staying in the building!

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed each night. The cleanliness, proximity to the beach and boardwalk restaurants, the indoor pool and jacuzzi as well as the balcony overlooking the beach made this a luxurious trip indeed. Hoping to book the same room for next Labor Day weekend 😊

Promoted as sleeping accommodations for 4. The pull out couch was so bad you could see the springs through the mattress and covered in sand. We had to buy a air mattress to be able to sleep. At check-in process made me sign for 4 beach towels but they were not provided ( neither were linens for couch bed). The pool area is your typical 3 star hotel pool. Only 3 working lounge chairs. The other 2 had broken backs and the other one the 2 front legs were gone. Good thing the beach was the main attraction. Staff was courtesy and friendly and tired to remedy what they could quickly. Can’t beat the location right on the boardwalk.

Location was great. We are a family of 5 and we were comfortable for the week. Parking garage is small but we made sure if we needed to go somewhere that required driving, we were back by 5pm and had no issues finding a space. Otherwise everything is within walking distance. I don’t recommend eating at Johnny Manana which is downstairs. Food is terrible and overpriced.

The view of the beach was wonderful. Carpet looked gross, wouldn’t take shoes off. Water didn’t heat up very well, kick plate for dishwasher was missing. Large cockroach (dead) in hallway for two days after reporting it to staff. Door handle out to the balcony is not secure.

We rented it from Mar 25 to April 1, Unit 105.
From March 27, PM, to April 1, AM, there was no hot water, with the exception of a few hours on Tuesday morning. We repeatedly complained to the management. We were told that there was a plumbing problem, and they were working on it. There were no plumbers, that we can tell, in the building except those working on a problem with the pool. Low and behold, the water started to get hot early Saturday, April 1. The lower floors had low occupancy during the week, so it appears the management turned off the hot water to save costs.
My wife has limited mobility and the lack of hot water was terribly inconvenient, not to say a health hazard.
We have traveled extensively around the world and this was one of our worst experiences.

This unit was on the first floor. The pics on the listing showed a balcony so I assumed it would not be on the first floor. It was nice to open the door and be right on the boardwalk. All we had to do was open the curtains or door to see the beautiful sunrise. There are many little interesting shops and eateries within walking distance. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. Parking was very convenient. You can tell it is an older property. The air and appliances were all clean. The linens were fresh and clean. It was a comfortable stay and I would stay here again.

The property was okay, but not particularly special. On the positive side, it was beach front and the view was beautiful. Upon further research when we returned home, we concluded that we could have gotten a better deal at several other beachfront properties. It was not worth what we paid.

It says with an oceanfront balcony overlooking the ocean. Well I looked forward to sitting out there morning and night. Instead we were on bottom floor with no privacy and no table. We were straight in from the front doors and had to listen to the staff from usually 5:30 in the morning till 10 at night. The elevator was right beside us as well. Constant noise pretty much the whole stay. It was nice to have easy access to the beach but we felt very deceived by the pictures of the room. You could have a few more dishes for people as well. I had to wash dishes after every meal to be able to eat in. The staff was primarily very distant except one sweet man who was there at the door at check in. This is forcing me to rate property manager communication. Since I didn't call him during my stay I will give a three based on the listing be deceiving.

Overall our stay was good. The unit could have been cleaner. The kitchen/living area floor is in need of repair as there are many chips in the floor.

I will start by saying, this is not a new property. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay within walking distance of almost anything then this place is excellent. It is situated between two public parking areas, which diverts many other beachgoers to the left and right, which makes this area of the beach far less crowded. The staff is friendly and helpful. As I started with, the property does show signs of age and the unit feels slightly dated, but everything worked as it should, and let's face it, you are going to hang at the beach, not the room. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Ocean sands
The location was amazing. Right on the beach which is what we wanted. The host was in communication if needed. The apartment was small but that was expected for the great price and great location. It is an efficiency in terms of cooking. Just a stove top and microwave oven combo which we were not used to but it worked perfectly. There is laundry on the same floor which was so convenient with two boys!
It was a little dirty. It appeared clean but the lamp switches were all sticky. Door knobs and pulls on dressers were sticky. I washed all the dishes before using them due to smudges or finger prints. This would not stop me from reserving this location again. It just seemed like maybe kids had been there and touched everything:)
It is a hotel in terms of what is there for cleaning. So bring a little laundry detergent, disinfectant wipes or spray if you plan on cooking and eating there. And want to clean up!
The staff was so very nice and friendly and helpful. And seemed very busy and overworked, like everyone these days! But they could not have been more helpful with every single request we had.
I would stay again and am hoping to go back next year!

We had an awesome stay at this location! The hotel is located right on the strip and on the beach. It was perfect for my family of 4. We were able to see dolphins swimming from the balcony! And my favorite part of the trip: when I was on the balcony, 3 Black Hawk helicopters flew right along the beach. I mean, if it was daylight I could've seen the passengers' faces. My husband was fortunate enough to see them on their way back through. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

We are in our 70s and I have chronic lung disease. This was perfect for us. Balcony, restaurant, well groomed beaches, dolphins, jets, helicopters. It was all great!
