My husband and I were in Chicago for a medical conference. While he traveled daily to McCormick West, I stayed behind and explored Old Town and Lincoln Park area. Coming from a rural small town, I was not at all afraid to walk alone in the neighborhood and found the shops/restaurants full of friendly staff.
The house was ideally situated close to the L. It was a charming retreat with plenty of light filled space and a VERY comfortable bed. The shades on the large windows and the heat/air system were easy to use and worked perfectly. The bathroom is not on the same level as the bedroom which is a little difficult for nighttime potty breaks, but it was warm and roomy with great water pressure. Amy was a great host and responded quickly to me each time I reached out with questions. I would love to stay here again!

If you’re looking for a cozy, comfy place to live like a local while exploring the city, this is the place. Close to mass transit without the racket in a charming and historic neighborhood— easily walkable and safe. The place is bright and clean and has everything you need. Comfy couch and bed to relax after a long day exploring and to feel rested for the next. Amy was super responsive and helpful. We are already looking to a return trip and will be staying here again. Can’t speak highly enough about the place.

My son and I stayed in the loft while visiting my daughter. The property is in a great location and is as pictured. Unfortunately the full apartment is subdivided into two units ––You enter in one door off the street with 2 different individually locked doors inside leading to the loft and another apartment. Because the units are only divided by a thin wall you can hear everything next door. The girls in the apartment were SO loud during all times of the day and night. Saturday was the worse with day drinking for hours, then out for the night and back in at 4:30am. Contacted Amy and she reached out to ask them to keep the noise down. Sunday was better but again they came home at 12:30am waking me up with loud drunk voices and setting off their alarm.
My only other issue is that the air conditioning is forced air from the bottom floor, which barely reaches the upstairs loft. HOT during the summer.
I went back and looked at the previous reviews and didn't read anything about noise neighbors, Amy mentioned the girls were new renters so until they move out I wouldn't expect the loft being quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the neighborhood is quiet and nice for walks, so close to nice restaurants and shopping as well as close to the El train. The loft space is clean and nicely appointed, the owners were great! We would stay here again for sure!

The location of this stay is in a cute, safe neighborhood with easy walking access to the Brown line train. We enjoyed exploring the neighborhood! The space was beautiful inside, easy to lock in and lock out of and we would definitely stay here again!

We survived three days of minus 20 degree Chicago wind chill in this warm and bright apartment. Christmas with our son and every comfort necessary to enjoy the holiday despite the weather!

This was our second stay in the loft and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Plenty of street parking, a very safe and walkable neighborhood, and Amy is very comminicative!

The lush tree-lined streets were out of a story book and the neighborhood felt very safe. Walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants, Oz Park, and Lincoln Park. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and bathroom extras like hairdryer and curling irons. We also appreciated the very clean and very comfortable linens with plenty of extra. The large flat screen TV was perfect to stream to during our relax time. It's also walking distance to the subway which was very convenient.
Our only dislikes were: 1) the bed size in the loft. It's listed as a queen but it honestly felt much smaller. 2) probably not normally an issue in Chicago but it was hot out during our stay and the AC didn't hit the upstairs that well. 3) the neighbors were very noisy. They played loud music at strange hours, every time they walked it would shake the apartment, and they have 2 dogs that were very loud. This is not in the hosts control but just be aware of this if you're not accustomed to city living you will have issues.
Overall the stay was very enjoyable, the hosts communicated very well and it's a perfect place to crash while visiting the city. We will definitely be returning when we visit family in Chicago.

The loft was a great place to stay. The neighborhood was adorable. Lots of cute cafes and shops in the area and a short walk to larger stores and restaurants. Easy access, landlord was reachable, and the loft was clean.

This was a PERFECT location for my son and I to stay for our trip to Chicago. A short walk to the train station, and a quick ride to Wrigley Field and to downtown. Sure clean and beautiful apartment, and a beautiful neighborhood to walk around. WILL be coming back!

Wedding Visit
We are the parents of the bride…. Needed a rental for a few days before the wedding hotel with friends and family. Property was in a perfect location in Lincoln Park and the photos didn’t do it justice.. the bathroom was much bigger and and the 2 story living room was great to relax in and finish our wedding prep! Amy was fabulous and picked up instantly when I couldn’t work out the key code.. I had brain fog after a long day. We would love to stay there again!

Discovered that our daughter's place is around the corner, literally. We had her roommates come over to see the place and we told all their parents. We will be back!

We loved Amy’s place. Fantastic location!
The apartment was very comfortable for three adults and had a loft-like feel. Great windows that’s also offered privacy shades when you needed it. Amy was very responsive and accommodating to our request to check in a bit early. Easy access to all parts of the city - we ubered everywhere no problem. We definitely hope to visit again. Thank you for a great weekend.

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. The host was very racist and discriminatory. I was called a racial slur when in contact with host and she treated me so disrespectfully. Would not recommend.
