Das beste Hostel auf Oahu!

Das beste Hostel der Insel!😍 Die Lage ist der absolute Wahnsinn man ist 2min entfernt vom Kuhio bzw. Waikiki Beach wo man jeden Abend den schönsten Sonnenuntergang beobachten kann. Die Dachterasse des Hostels war auch einfach super! Man kann es sich von morgens bis abends dort auf den Liegen und anderen Sitzgelegenheiten gemütlich machen und gut gehen lassen und mit anderen Hostelbesuchern in Kontakt kommen. Wenn man alleine unterwegs ist (wie die meisten in dem Hostel) ist die riesengroße WhatsApp-Gruppe echt super, um schnell viele neue Leute für gemeinsame Ausflüge und Wanderungen zu finden. Das kostenfrei ausleihbare Schnorchel-Equipment und die Strandausrüstung wie Sonnenschirme oder Strandmatten, sind auch super, wenn man zwischen der ganzen Wanderaction mal einen ruhigeren Tag einbauen möchte. Das Personal war auch immer super gelaunt, total hilfsbereit und für einen kurzen lustigen Plausch zu haben.

Zu Beginn meines Aufenthaltes wurde eine Wand gereinigt und daraufhin neu gestrichen, weshalb es im Zimmer etwas nach Farbe gerochen hat. Nach einem Tag war davon aber nichts mehr zu riechen und alles super. Die Küche in meinem Zimmer war leider mehr oder weniger nur Deko. Man konnte die Mikrowelle und den großen Kühlschrank einwandfrei nutzen, jedoch hätte ich mir vielleicht einen oder zwei Teller und etwas Besteck gewünscht, da die Dachterasse, wo sich die Küche befindet, bereits um 22 Uhr schließt.

Loved our stay, the location is awesome!

The rooftop was sweet and the staff were super helpful.

Encore un séjour parfait à Waikiki

Emplacement idéal, voisins calmes, ils prêtent tout un tas de matériel comme des bouées, des sèches cheveux, des serviettes de plage, on a juste besoin d'une brosse à dent !

Idéalement placé au centre de Honolulu, équipé comme il se doit pour de l’aventure en solo

L'humidité de salle de bain et le sans gêne des autres locataires.

Wieklich gutes Hostel, würden wir wieder nach Honolulu fliegen dann würden wir zu 100% dieses Hostel wieder nehmen. Wirklich toll Super günstige Ausflüge!

First experience with hostel living and my last experience

I loved how the property has 24 hour assistance , cleaning ladies do come to clean the room, the hostel is great distance from the beach and the bathroom is not hard to reach as it’s within the room. The faculty were very friendly and I end up meeting a good friend here.

I will be honest, it will more than likely be my last time booking here. The hostel had a smell inside that smelled like mildew and it got humid inside the dorms real quick plus the covers they gave wasn’t enough to keep warm when the air conditioning was on. They charged for towels and washing clothes which I think is a bit unnecessary as that should come with the service of staying. The hostel walls were unclean and the shower curtains had a smell. I will definitely say do not have your expectations to high coming to this hostel. It isn’t anything special, if you’re looking to be out the entire day doing activities then I will recommend this as you do get a bed and shower but if you want comfort during your stay don’t book here

Great location, lovely for a stay if travelling alone.

The location is great, the staff were very lovely, and you can leave your bags if you leave later in the day or arrive early.

The place desperately needs some tlc. If I was to go back, I’d stay somewhere else.

Excellent location. The rooftop was a great space to relax and meet others. A couple of sheltered areas up there would be great. Coffee at reception in the morning was great. The mattress was comfortable. Fridge in the room.

Only 1 washing machine and tumble dryer. Was a nightmare trying to get a shot of them. Mould in the room and bathroom. The locker to keep valuables in was terrible, too small and falling to bits. Zero storage space to put your belongings.

Great hostel for a solo traveller

Easy to make contacts with other travellers (mostly solo travellers), great and cheap daytrips (30 dollars !), free rental of surf- and bodyboards for 90mins per day… would book again

Perfect for travelling

Such a good location literally on the beach , very friendly staff , they let you borrow snorkels paddle boards, surf boards , floats , towels for $2 and there is a box of ‘stuff’ that’s free to take which includes suncream , shampoo , moisturiser (which is just what others have left behind but I managed to get two full bottles of suncream ).

One thing was the blinds. Our room didn’t have blinds which was a pain as the sun rises quite early and had no privacy. We did ask the staff if they had blinds and they said no room have blinds however all other rooms we went in/walked past had dark blinds, so almost felt like that member of staff just couldn’t be bothered to help us.

Fantastic !

First time ever in a hostel , what a great experience ! The staff were knowledgeable , helpful and so nice . Spotless ! my room , the property A+ for be so nice and clean . Great price and location , I will defiantly stay at this property again in the future .

I really enjoyed the tours! This was a great place to stay as a first hostel experience :) the vibe is friendly and you don't have to go OUT out if you don't want to!

The shower curtain! Honestly, they could all do with replacing as they were very moldy. Also beware Top Bunk! The aircon doesnt reach the top so it gets very warm.

Made so many new friends!!

The culture at the hostel was so inviting!! Having the whatsapp groupchat as well made it a very wholesome experience with it being so easy to meet others and do a variety of activities together. The tours are great as well :)

I wish it was just a little bit cheaper, but otherwise nothing bad to say as it is still relatively affordable.

1911 built hotel surrounded by trees and good view out to bay.

Plentiful basis breakfast, quiet location not far from old town.

It took an 10-15 minutes for hot water to reach shower. Lively night life in surrounding vegetation. We loved it but ore prissy guests may not.

Fantastic location . Staff fantastic especially Ryan? Who checked us in. Fridge. Long check in process. Bathroom in the room. The tour through hostel that we went on.

only 1 chair in the room. No table. Unuseable cook top in room so wasted bench space and no communal kitchen. We were told about the one over the road half way through our stay.

Highly recommend this place

The best part of this place was the tour. I loved the tour and the hostel host was suprt kind and recommended new things to do in hawaii I highly recommend this place if you are in to solo trip or meeting new people!!

To be honest if i had to pick one the bed sheet was a bit thin so if the airconditioner is on for a long time i get a bit cold

Pleasant

The location is perfect, The Kalakaua Avenue is around the corner and here you'll find souvenir shops, ABC markets, restaurants, caffes and other nice stores. The beach is literally 5 minutes away from the hostel so if you don't have a car this hostel is very convenient. The bus stops are very close too.

The fact that there is only ONE shower and you share it with maybe six girls. I personally didn't have a problem with shower turns untill almost the last day that one of the girls took almost one hour to shower. I was in a rush a little bit so It would have been great to have at least two showers per shared room.
