Come up to the lake and relax in style at this unique chalet, completely renovated with modern amenities and appliances while still retaining its rustic charm! Golden A-Frame is located at the end of a private road in the Sky Valley Community, where you'll delight in the seclusion. Gather with friends around the gas firepit out on the large deck or soak in the brand-new outdoor hot tub and melt that stress away! Head inside to hang out in the upstairs loft watching movies, playing video games, or lounging in the hanging swings. Or, hop in the car and take a short drive to Deep Creek Lake State Park, where there is plenty more to do. RESORT AMENITIES -Lake access -Sandy beach -Picnic facilities -Children's playground -Basketball court -One-acre fishing pond -Sledding trails -Basketball court THINGS TO KNOW A sofabed in the loft provides an extra sleeping space. A high chair and Pack-N-Play are provided for guest use. Guests must obey Sky Valley Community rules at all times. 4WD/traction is required to reach this home in winter. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The house is very unique and well finished

Pictures of the property mislead me. I’ll own that. We’re a mature couple
And we had higher expectations for the furniture comfort (couches and beds). Worst aspect was the beds. Mattresses were sponge material. You sink into the bed and it was an affront to change position or even roll over on this mattress. We opted to leave early rather than attempt a 2nd night sleeping in the sponge. All that being said … if a young family rented this home, I’m thinking it may be a home run.

The cabin was small but had everything we needed for a nice weekend. We had some trouble with the code and not being able to re-enter the property but the property management team worked with me to get us in. They were very helpful and I appreciate their patience and knowledge of working through the issue as I was a little stressed about it. We played the games in the lower level. My dog was afraid to use the spiral stairs so we didn’t utilize the upper level and took our pup to the lower level from the outside. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and cookware. We also enjoyed the hot tub and cooked some hot dogs on the grill. We had a nice time here.

We had a lovely quiet weekend. Perfect spot for a weekend get away. The front door lock malfunctioned and the property manager quickly responded and had a new lock installed. We even got some great tips for restaurants from the kind gentleman that installed it.

Quiet, peaceful setting at the end of a steep, private road. Kids/teens enjoyed the game room in the basement, outdoor swings, large deck with plenty of seating, grill, and hot tub. Be prepared for no AC. Bedrooms have ceiling fans. We brought a box fan which was useful in the main living space.

Pulled into the driveway and noticed that there were cob webs and dirt all over the exterior. Once inside the place was clean. The blower to clean the deck off was dead and when asked for a new battery to blow off the deck no one responded. We found a house broom and cleaned enough so we could use the deck and hot tub area. There were a few exterior lights that did not work and no tub stopper for our 2 year old to take a bath. Overall this is a very nice place but needs a clean upon the exterior.

Had a serious family emergency and was completely unable to contact the host (vacasa). Multiple messages sent with no reply, called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do. Will never be using vrbo or vacasa again.

This property was not ready for us when we checked in. The driveway, walkway and deck was not cleared of snow when we arrived. It took several calls and negotiations to get a response from the property management company. The property management company told us there is a snow shovel near by and salt is next door.
The main bathroom sink does not drain, loose tiles in the bathroom, missing window trim in the living room and cob webs throughout the property - very dusty. This property is not well maintained.

Went for my birthday and stayed 2 nights. The place was very pretty although it seemed like there may have been something’s put together fast to turn it over and rent out. Loose flooring, switches that did nothing, we were also without power for a while. Bedding seemed like it wasn’t cleaned before our stay. Over all it was decent, but felt housekeeping could’ve been better.

Great place to getaway and relax. I only gave it 4 stars because the cobwebs that are on all the beams, window frames and door frames. Otherwise we would stay here again.

The decor was minimalistic and tasteful. Our dog felt welcomed. The hot tub was a nice place to relax after all the water sports, mountain biking and hiking you can do in the area.

We loved this house. It felt cozy and had great amenities for us and our two kids + dog. The kids loved the air hockey table, shuffle boards and swings on the side of the house. The yard was great for throwing a little frisbee and the location felt nice and private being at the end of the street. It was a little bit of a drive to restaurants, but it was scenic and we enjoyed it. Would definitely stay here again!

Loved our stay here with three teens and two adults, everyone had enough space to spread out. The hot tub is big and looks very new. We had very mild weather for August, so not having a/c was not an issue for us. We would like to come back and stay again in the winter.

Well thought out space in this A-Frame chalet. I have two children who adored the upstairs with the swing chairs and the down stairs games. We were there for skiing but had poor weather, however it was easy to stay inside a whole day with minimal issues. Very relaxing.

My husband and I and our two daughters absolutely loved our stay at the Golden A-frame! The neighborhood is quiet and secluded. The house is so beautiful with such great touches! We lucked out with our stay and timed it during major snowfall which added to the beauty! Thank goodness for our 4WD! Or two pups were not impressed with the cold temps and snow, but loved the woodstove. They were scared of the sprial open staircases, so we ended up carrying them up and down as needed. We would definitely recommend staying at this charming house!

Spent a lovely 3 days and 2 nights here for my wife’s birthday and could not have been happier. Everything was perfect; from the warm and rustic interior, to the spacious and luxurious hot tub. No complaints to be had! Would highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting the area!

The place was dirty. Cobwebs on the windows and ceiling. The main floor bathroom handle was so dirty, looked like it had black dust collecting on it for days. One of the areas was do dirty that the white towel turned black (we took pics). Mold smell in the basement.
Cushions on the furniture were so old, stained and smelly. We couldn't sit on it without covering them with our own sheets.
Rude representative when asked about extending the stay. Took advantage of the extension and charged extremely high price during off season when for the first 2 nights, we paid half of that.

Perfect Cabin Getaway
The cabin was just what we were hoping for. We had a great stay with some friends. The hot tub and fireplace were exactly what our chilly and rainy fall weekend needed. The first floor beds are VERY soft so if you are a firm mattress person use the bedroom on the bottom floor.

We ended up having to make a run to the grocery store (nearest store 20 minutes away) for these basics. Also, pick up some firewood on your way in to the cabin! We kept a fire burning during our whole stay and I regret bringing my axe instead of purchasing firewood.

Such a great spot!
This was my husband and I's second stay at the Golden A-Frame, and this time we visited with our 4 friends. So many great hang out spots are tucked into this place. Board games at the kitchen table and bonfires in the back! So cozy!

For those of us whose eyes glaze over looking at listing after listing of Deep Creek cabins with dark wood or bear themes or beat-up furniture from Grandma's house, this cabin is a welcome respite. The styling is clean, modern and wonderful. Our kids adored the upstairs loft and started their mornings there every single day of our trip, reading in the hammock chairs, watching movies and playing board games. It was fantastic. The kitchen is well-outfitted for a family that likes to cook. We ate every single one of our meals on the outdoor deck. And family movie night in the downstairs game room was fantastic. The cabin does not have air conditioning, which we were a little bit worried about. But it's located in such a woodsy area that there was enough shade and enough fans that it wasn't a problem -- with one exception. The lower level bedroom was quite damp and would benefit immensely from a dehumidifier. We also loved that we could bring our pup -- although dogs are not permitted at the docks and swimming and picnic area of the community's lake access. That was a little bit of a bummer but we realize it's something the cabin owners don't have any control over. Overall, it's just a delightful home and we ended our vacation wondering where and how we might be able to hang hammock chairs in our own home!

The modern A frame house was very pretty with above average amenities . However , I feel we were deceived : It was suppose to have an intendo gaming system in the loft and it was NOT there Nor were there any games . Main problem which minimized our comfort was the main “ceiling fan” was not working . They claimed everything was working and operable when we checked it but in reality after calling vacasa many times And insisting that they come and inspect it , they said it needed a new unit which would take a week or so . We therefore did not have a main large ceiling fan during a week that was quite hot and humid in the woods! Also , we could NOT leave screen doors open (2 out of 3) because the screens were not properly sized to the size of door and there was a gap of 1/4 of an I nch on top and bugs could get in! Made it hot and uncomfortable to cook in the kitchen and eat with just a regular fan. Last but not least the basement bedroom had no closet . They provided a flimsy coat hook attached to wall . When I was trying to hang a couple of my outfits it fell down and made

As I said before during my numerous conversations with vacasa managers: someone needs to do a thorough inspection of entire house and repair/ fix and r provide what is missing . Lousy excuse was given to us that they could not check it because it was rented during prior week . They can still come and repair and or inspect right ? They had from 10
Am to 4 pm to do a thorough walk thru inspection but they were negligent in doing so . If items cannot be timely fixed or available they should be removed from amenities provided otherwise it’s misleading . I am waiting for at least a 25 percent discount on the cost of the weekly rental for all my time , frustration and inconveniences
