Welcome to Beach Bums! Family owned and operated "Beach Bums" - Enter house from Jungle Shores Road, use the convenient elevator or main entrance. At the top of the steps enjoy the open floor plan which includes spacious kitchen, living room, and dining area. Off the living room and dining area, enjoy the screened in porch with partial marsh views. First floor also includes a Queen Bedroom with entrance to covered porch. Hall bath with shower over tub. Walk up the the second floor you will find another queen bedroom with an entrance to a covered porch. Hall bathroom with shower over tub. Second bedroom with two twin beds. Hall access to full size washer and dryer. King size bedroom with private bath, double vanity, jacuzzi tub and stall shower. Off the bathroom is a walk in closet. Off king bedroom is access to a private screened in porch. Access Third Floor by Spiral stairs to a loft bedroom with two twin beds. Bedrooms and porches have ceiling fans. Property includes the use of a outdoor shower, Weber gas grill, Bench Swing, Hammock and picnic table. Beach Access, short walk, bike ride or drive a golf cart!

The property was only a block from the beach and comfortably acccomodated the six women who all stayed at the house. We were told to bring our own sheets and bath towels, which everyone did. Future tenants should also be told to bring hand towels for the bath rooms and bath mats.
The location was very nice, although it was too cold for the beach.

I have a tradition of booking a house at the beach the week of Thanksgiving to bring my family together. This house was perfect for us! It had plenty of room and all the necessities. The house is stocked with lots of cookware which was great for cooking our Thanksgiving meal. The host was very responsive and friendly to my questions. We loved the screened in porches since it rained a couple of days. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful mini vacation in Edisto. The house was beautiful and the location was great! After arriving we decided we would like to stay one more day and the host responded quickly to our request. We will definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at Beach Bums! It is a beautiful home with plenty of room for my parents, my sister, my nephews, and their families. Having the elevator was especially convenient for my aging parents. Heather was helpful and kept a check on things throughout the week. We felt blessed to be able to enjoy this beach house!

In general our stay was quite enjoyable. The beach and area can't be beat! The house accommodated our family well. The house is a bit worn, and needs some updates, and it was a busy place with yard work and AC maintenance that we weren't expecting to deal with. I do recommend this home for families.

Family vacation
Renting was an easy process, communication with host was easy and the host was very responsive. The rental was clean and spacious plenty of room for 9 adults and a 2 year old.

This property was very clean and well stocked. It was excellent being right on the bike trail and the beach was not a far walk if you don't mind about a 1/4+ mile walk. We really did not find anything missing that we needed and had a pleasant stay. I would be aware that it is a duplex and that you could have loud neighbors as we did. Past guests obviously did not clean the grill as the property manager has clearly asked and a couple of our party almost got badly burned so definitely check the grill before using. Overall though this was a great property that I would return to.

Beach Bums was exactly as advertised. There were a few blips along the way, that couldn’t be planned or helped, but the owner/prop manager was quick to address issues and made things right even though they really didn’t have to. You won’t be disappointed w this rental. The elevator to carry up your load is amazing!

We had 4 couples and Beach Bums was a great place to stay. We literally used every part of the house while we were there and there was plenty of room for us to have our privacy and for us to call come together. The owner checked with us when we got there and touched base to ensure everything was good. She also followed up after we left. Beautiful place and we highly recommend!!

For starters the house was dirty the bathtubs were dirty they have rings around the tub and all the bathrooms The dirty dishes dirty pots in the cabinets The floors are dirty I had to sweep I actually took pictures of how dirty the floors walls in the trash to sweat I attempt to vacuum the vacuum smell like a dirty musky gym full of Ball players we chose not to complain because it was a Christmas holiday we didn’t want to ruin it we just made the best out of it Val not to ever nent another house with that company.

Beautiful property. Spacious and updated. Ultra clean. Kitchen totally stocked. Pots, plates, crock pots you name it. Plenty of TVs. Porches upstairs and down. And an elevator. Just a 5 minute walk to the beach. Two thimbs up!

Home exactly as pictured and described. Great location, great size for our family. Kitchen well stocked. Only downside to the place was living room furniture needs a professional cleaning or needs to be replaced. Bedroom on main level queen bed was very noisy due to heavy headboard not attached to bed so any movement at all was very irritating. Could also use king beds in that room and room above it. Loft sofa beds need new mattresses or new sofa beds, springs and bars felt even by kids sleeping on them. House was very clean, no bugs. Atwood very friendly and informative. If we come back next year to Edisto, would definitely rent from them again and would recommend to anybody. Pick up of key and drop off of key kinda questionable when office is closed. Anyone could pick up any of those keys and get in several of the properties.

Family Time at Edisto
Very nice, spacious house. Dealing with management company was very good. Both times I spoke with management company employees were very friendly and informative. Already looking to book with them next year. Only thing we saw with house is they need to professionally clean living room furniture or buy new (very stained and not clean) and downstairs bedroom headboard not attached, so very irritating if more than one person sleeps in that queen bed. 2 sofa beds in loft area also need to be upgraded, bedding on those very uncomfortable even for teenagers.

Duplex was ok but needed deep cleaning. Renters in attached unit had a dog that they would let out on porch and dog constantly barked. We tried to get it to stop barking but they were evidently oblivious to situation that was very irritating. I believe unit has a "no pets" policy.

Grad school celebration
Property was ok but needs some deep cleaning. Large bath off upstairs master but other 2 baths small; toilet seats need replacing.
Main complaint is unit next door (this is a duplex) was rented and they had a dog that would bark constantly when we were on porch and also could hear in house with windows and doors closed. It is stated NO PETS in ad on VRBO for both duplexes, although not sure the same rental agency handles both units.

We came down for a quick Fall getaway to go to the Edisto Book store for C. Hope Clark’s new book signing , Edisto Tidings. Also to see our newest grandson. This is first time we stayed on Jungle Road and Beach Bums was a great choice. It was clean and nicely decorated. Straight shot to the beach access and the weather was perfect for the beach stroll. We enjoyed great breakfast at the Seacow, and good seafood at Whaleys and delicious shrimp and grits at the Waterfront. As always Atwood was professional and very helpful. That’s why we come in May, Oct and Nov. We are never disappointed and if something at the rental needs attention Atwood has always taken care of the problem. Can’t wait to come again.
