Located in Sussex County, this attractive bed and breakfast for $188 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Rooms 1 and 2 each have double beds and sleep, 2 guests. The full bath is shared between the two rooms and is private to those guests. Room 2 is only rented to family or guests traveling with the person renting room 1. The age limit is 12 years of age unless you are preapproved by the owner. Iona Stables and Inn is located on a 35-acre farm just east of Rt 1, at a little crossroads called Argo’s Corner. We are situated 3 miles south of Milford, DE. It is only 3 miles to the Delaware Bay and 16 miles to the Ocean at Cape Henlopen State Park. The Lewes, Rehoboth, Tanger Outlets, and Delaware beaches and State Parks are all located just south of us along the Rt 1 corridor. We are located 1 mile south of the new Bayhealth Medical Center. We are also 9 miles south of the DE Turf Sports Complex. To enhance the safety of all our guests at Iona Stables and Inn we have installed UV light to all the air handlers that service the house. That means approximately every 10 minutes all the inside air is being disinfected from bacteria, viruses, and mold particles. The UV lights are in addition to the MERV 13 filter cartridges we use in all our air handlers. Just another way we strive to make your stay at Iona Inn a comfortable stay. Here's what the UV lights accomplish. Most indoor air quality products merely trap pollutants, but Swordfish (the manufacturer) actually kills molds, viruses, and fungus in your indoor air. Swordfish UV Air Treatment systems use proven technology and expose your recirculated indoor air to UVC light which kills/deactivates micro-organisms and sanitizes your air.

We had an amazing stay at Iona Inn. Robert and Linda were wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome. The beautiful sun rise from the front patio and just as amazing sun sets from the back deck. Breakfasts freshly cooked by Robert were delicious. We felt totally at home and we will be back.

I booked the Iona Inn for a two-night getaway with my mother who had just celebrated her 80th birthday. The property is truly a hidden gem that worked perfectly for us to visit a friend in Magnolia, then enjoy the ocean and walk the boardwalk in Rehoboth, DE. Robert & Linda (& their sweet dog, Chip) are such gracious hosts, who provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere for us to relax in. We booked the two adjacent rooms on the first floor that share a bathroom, which worked great to each have our own space yet be close together. The entire inn is spotless and beautifully decorated with antiques and gorgeous crystal but never feels stuffy. We fell asleep to the country-sounds of tree frogs and crickets and woke to the delicious smell of a gourmet breakfast. Robert treated us to a mouth-watering breakfast each day set on gorgeous table settings while enjoying the view of their angelic water feature & horse stables. Every detail was considered, and it really made us feel appreciated and cared for. Thank you Robert, Linda & Chip for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful inn. You took such great care of us. We will definitely be back again!

We were in the area for lacrosse tournament at the DE turf complex. Property was a great location to the venue. Amazing breakfast and beautiful grounds. Will definitely come back again if in the area. Highly recommend!

Robert and Linda have a beautiful home! The setting is so peaceful and private, with porches and patios galore! Our hosts provided excellent breakfasts and lots of fantastic tips. They also have a charming dog who we adored. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Definitely recommend!

Robert and Linda are exceptional hosts! This is a spectacular property and home! Full of history and family stories ...we felt right at home. Our delishious breakfasts were carefully prepared with our dietary needs considered. Even our table settings were thoughtfully and elegantly prepared!
