I’ve stayed here before just because it was convenient to where I was speaking. The hotel is okay for the price but my concern is the front desk agent.
She’s just not pleasant. She never smiled. She didn’t look happy and wasn’t warm and inviting and she seemed to be very stoic and didn’t really want to be there. I didn’t feel like a guest. I felt like I was bothering her. It was very concerning, and made me wonder if she is always like that. I wouldn’t want someone with that temperament working the front desk or anywhere for me.
Being kind and a simple smile goes a long way in this world we live in and I’ve always heard smiling is contagious. I would encourage the GM to maybe speak with her to remind her she is the first point of contact for the hotel when people walk in and you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Fridge not working, asked front desk to solve that for us but they didn’t do anything. Bathroom body wash was out and when asked for more they just said they didn’t have any more.

I wish the policies for checking into the hotel and the applicable fees were more clearly defined by the hotel. When I asked the front desk associate about some of the fees associated with the stay, she almost seemed offended that I asked what I was paying for and why. I even explained to her that I’d stayed in the hotel before but wasn’t charged certain fees and she had no explanation as to why other than saying “you pay or you don’t stay…”

We visit family often and we always stay at La Quinta Inn. We could have stayed at a cheaper place but we knew we would not receive the same class of service. And the breakfast is just right to start your day off. They even have a special marked parking spot for Veterans, and as a Veteran I appreciate that. I look forward to my next visit to Hawaiian Gardens and know that I have a place to stay. Thank you and keep up the outstanding service

Hotel staff was great. Room was decent. Everything else was a bit meh. Breakfast was always late, lots of ‘shady’ people lurking in parking lot, elevator felt like it was going to fall apart each ride…just didn’t feel super safe.

Staff was friendly and attentive. The room was not 100% clean when I entered it. There was an empty box of condoms and some used condom wrappers in the trashcan in the room. The maid obviously forgot to take those out. But other than that it was a nice stay.

Housekeeping wasn’t great. Did not get daily service and when I asked for towels, I wasn’t given the right amount. Public areas i.e. Elevator and halls were not clean. Elevator seemed as if it was about to snap off.

Booked two rooms, and when I arrived one of them had been cancelled. Arrived with the confirmation which showed clearly that I had two rooms booked but no, they wouldn't have it. La Quinta blamed Hotels.com, gave me the second room required and charged me MORE because I had to pay the day rate. I guess I'll never know the truth but is was incredibly poor. Overall state of the room was very poor, and the bathroom hardly clean.

My room was amazing, this property is definitely family safe and I do recommend.

The phone in the room did not work, the drawers to the dresser were broken. Two of the shower towels were stained.

Since when does housekeeping only come into your room every other day. I was told it was for cost savings, but since they are saving money, they should pass that savings on to us consumers.

Our receptionist was very nice and fun to chat with! Even told us where to get great Mexican food and margaritas!

Poorly maintained. Elevator not functuonal. Door locks dont work. Broken furniture. Parking lot has trash.

Called then multiple times, no one answered the phone, nor called back. 30 mins waiting in reception, not rush no one was there. Lift was shutdown, have to shift all the bags and ice box manually to 2nd floor. Fridge door broken not replaced, ac u it had water leak and dampness. Jam was not served at breakfast. Overall it was useless hotel and not worth for the cost

Hotel was good but no elevator they had me on the fourth floor and I had to walk up and down stairs all the time

Elevator was broken and we were on the 4th floor. I have a bad shoulder and ankle from a previous accident so it was painful to walk carrying luggage.

The elevator was out of service for "maintenance." However, no one was ever working on it. I am quite certain since we had just booked this hotel a week prior, it was out of service then and NO indication of that when we booked. Bed was hard, pillows were worse. Outside lighting was not synced to new time (PDT) and it was dark and a bit scary outside. Not a great neighborhood. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

It was an overall average experience and good for the pay but they do have shortage in staff and struggle with towels and room cleans.
