The room wasn't turned over properly. There was a half empty water bottle sitting on the dresser and food and drinks in the fridge from the last guest along with used wash rags in the shower. We let the front desk know at check out, and she said the manager would call us to make it right and we never heard from them. For $700/night we expected basic cleaniness.

Enjoyed the view of the vineyards and surrounding property while it was drizzling outside. We were provided with complimentary wine and cozy robes. Planning on returning in the summer when the grapes are on the vines.

Went to check in for my stay and was told that they didn’t have a room for me even though I booked it in December and then upgraded the room in January, as I was planning to get engaged that day. They didn’t bother to look for any open rooms and insisted I canceled the reservation but I showed them I never did and was charged for my stay. They then said I need to figure out where I’m staying because they can’t accommodate me and my fiancé. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and if you want to stay somewhere that has better service and rooms stay at the Harvest Inn. Harvest Inn accommodated us right away hassle free.

Good location in st. Helena. The room was big and comfortable but the corridor outside our room was dirty. I complained twice about the dirt but it seems no one cared to take an action on it. The dirty area we saw when we checked in was there when we checked out… Breakfast is very basic. Overall we expected much more for the price we paid. For a similar price we stayed in nicer hotels in the area.

View and balcony was awesome. Will definitely come back when weather is right. Breakfast was super good one and with view its located on a hill kinda. One minus ! Not sure but for some rea a on it was smth in a garbage bin near a table ( like when they cleaned forgot to clean the bin) and 2nd floor walk up - bear in mind

The location and property were very nice. The breakfast was pretty good and the staff were friendly. The room was spacious and mostly updated, including nice wood floors and a great bathroom. Unfortunately the room was not as clean as we would have expected. The sheets had stains on them, the tables were dusty as if they hadnt been cleaned in a long time, there was random tiny pieces of garbage on the floor and there was a pillow covered in dog hair. For the price we expected a lot more attention to cleanliness. For this reason along with the poor insulation we dont plan on returning.

This is by far one of the better places we’ve stayed over the past three years. Only down side was the shower kept backing up. Once we reported it, they responded. It’s dog friendly, clean, quiet, and the staff is amazing.

Very unremarkable for the price. Not a luxurious property compared to others in its price range. Cottage was placed in the center of a parking lot. Spacious but unremarkable bathroom. Blase service. Woeful breakfast.

We loved the room, the cleanliness and the seating. Rooms seem recently renovated with high quality finishes. There is a restaurant close by called brasswood kitchen that we really enjoyed. The hotel staff also had a sweet welcome gift for us. The only downside for us was breakfast. It comes included with the room but it is the only thing that did not meat the expectation of a 4 star hotel. We ended up having breakfast out during stay even though breakfast is included. Overall I would stay here again. Just have the right expectation about breakfast.

The cottage was spacious and clean. Celebrating our first anniversary and they provided us with some complementary champagne. Breakfast was delicious! Staff was very welcoming and friendly!

The Wine Country Inn is a boutique style hotel that provides privacy and amazing vineyard and Mountain View’s. While you feel like you are in the secluded area while staying here, you are actually only 3-4 minutes away from downtown St Helena and 10 mins from Calistoga. I would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful property in an ideal location if you are visiting wineries in St. Helena and Calistoga (which we were). Very spacious rooms and delicious hot breakfast.

Very nice property set in the country but close to both the Silverado Trail and Highway 29. Very nice breakfast. There were a few things that could have been better for a high-end property. There was no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. Coffee assortment did not include decaf. Just small things but they can make the difference between four and five stars.

Nice property. Our room was on the lower floor of a duplex and we could hear walking above us constantly. Breakfast is good. No gym and little to no hiking trails on the property.

This was our second stay and we enjoyed it immensely. The rooms are clean and spacious. We had a delightful view of vineyards and distant hills from the room and private balcony. The pool was like an oasis and almost ours alone. Breakfast is included and there is a good variety of fresh foods. It's a little pricey but overall a good value.

I think this property is not as advertised at all. For $750 it’s overpriced. Poor customer service, just one staff member to do everything, she is not likely to even acknowledge, smile or have a fun mood or anything. Property needs updating. Will not stay here ever again.
