The property location on the lake is absolutely stunning. We arrived to find a fire ready to light in the outdoor fire pit. The property was even larger than we thought from the description. Everybody had their own space and there was a great space for us to be together to play games. The caretaker and hosts were super responsive to any questions or requests. We couldn’t imagine a more perfect respite. We look forward to coming again.

This lakeside property is just lovely. The windows are all large with unobstructed views of the lake from the living room and master room. There is an expansive deck to relax on and watch the morning mist or the evening fireflies. Friends who visited kept asking - how did we find this place? Lots of parking too which was nice. You have use of a canoe, kayak, and paddleboard which are fun. The lake is just the right size for an exercise swim with few boats to worry about. You can also explore Rippowan and Waccabuc through some water passageways. We enjoyed the Wednesday night music on the lake and while paddling around met the neighbors who have owned their homes for generations. It's a quiet area, you'll need to drive to a cup of coffee, but, don't worry, the house Keurig is stocked for you. The owners left a great list. We enjoyed our walks around Ridgefield CT for dinners and shopping. Did some hiking locally. The basement space was surprisingly useful. I was able to sleep my daughter and a friend there or work out without disturbing the upstairs. Having a second full bathroom at a lake house feels like a luxury. I also took some wonderful naps on the outdoor porch swing. Oh, and the Wi-Fi worked great. I actually worked for 2 weeks seamlessly from the house. ENJOY!!

We loved it so much we immediately booked for the following weekend. This place is a relaxing dream that’s convenient to the city with a great view. The hosts are very nice and responsive (I’m assuming they have another house on the lake as kids passing by on a pontoon asked their mom if we’d “stolen their other house” while we were sitting on the deck… ha) and invested in all the right things (nice linens, comfy bed/couches, etc.). Highly recommend this gem.

We felt right at home at this beautiful lake house, we stayed for nearly 2 weeks. We were right back at Summer Camp, waking up and stretching in the deck, having dance parties on the top of the boat house, taking the kayak and canoes out for hours at a time, reading I’m the sun room, and eating s’mores around the campfire. Katy and Giff generously left us a bottle of wine and s’mores materials. We loved the coffee pods! Great airflow inside even on hot days, and the lower level stays nice and cool. You’ll meet Henry, who takes care of the house, and his sweet family and doggies as their home shares the property. Nice to have him nearby in case we needed anything. Live among the chirping birds and Lilly pads, Lake Oscaleta is a gem, and connects to Rippowam and Waccabuc. We hosted a family reunion here with about 15 people, what a beautiful setting. And the grill was perfect to feed everyone. I now live in SF, but grew up in Stamford. It’s so nice to be able to come back home and create a destination for my family. We loved this Lake House!

My husband and I (along with our dog) spent Memorial Day weekend at this bungalow. This house is located right on the lake, so there are beautiful water views right from the living room, deck, and master bedroom. It is really a stunning location and the immediate access to the lake was amazing (and is why we will go back for another visit). The house had everything we needed: full kitchen, comfortable couch, large TV, wooden deck overlooking the lake, two full bathrooms, nice bath towels, lake towels, washer/dryer, etc. There was a Solo Stove in the grassy backyard. We did not use it, but it is there for bonfires or just to roast marshmallows. The house was clean and comfortable. The owners and caretaker were very friendly, live very nearby and were available to answer questions and provide help when needed. My husband and I took out a canoe (from the rack in the yard) and there is good hiking about 5 minutes away (by car). There was also a paddleboard and a kayak, but we only used the canoe. I recommend a canoe ride around the lake. It was beautiful. Thank you for a terrific weekend!
