Cheerful 2 Bedroom House on the Hill in St. Louis
About this house rental
Find your home away from home at this cute two bedroom bungalow on "The Hill" near downtown St. Louis. Enjoy authentic Italian food, cute boutiques and of course delicious baked treats. Take a quick walk to grab coffee at Park Avenue or jump on the highway and visit the City Museum, Arch or other fantastic St Louis attractions within minutes. We have everything you need to stay comfortably on your trip and know you will experience all the love we have poured into this newly renovated bungalow. Our home sits on the corner and there is free street parking directly in front of the house. There is also a parking pad in the back of the house that is accessible via the alley which can fit one car and is available for you to use during your stay. We can't wait for you to enjoy all of the amazing things we love about The Hill.

The house is located in a great, safe feeling area which put us within 15 minutes of the Central West End for nice family visits. Supplies were plentiful. There were some spots in the home missed by housekeeping, but it smelled fresh. Overall, the home suited our needs for a short weekend of visiting family.

Christina's property was excellent! The location next to the Hill, as well as the coffee house nearby and the deli across the street made for an easy stay as so many food options were within walking distance. The home was the perfect size. Christina was extremely prompt and helpful during our communications which made our trip so much easier. Would definitely stay again!

This pet-friendly home is the perfect spot for a weekend! The location is perfect for walkable options, and also really quick to get to the major roads for further destinations.
The owners were so helpful and easy to communicate with. We had no issues and our dog was really happy with the fenced yard too!

We live in St Louis but we were having some work done on our home. Thought it would be fun to stay in the city for a few days and hit up some spots we don’t normally visit.
Wife enjoyed taking the baby on walks to parks and neighborhoods she doesn’t otherwise get to visit. I enjoyed a change in the eatery scene.
The house was cozy and perfect for our needs for a long weekend. Bed was firm and super comfortable. Communication with the host was quick and efficient and she was kindly quite flexible when we needed to add on a day to our stay.

For our short stay this was a great location to visit family while in town and easy access to other parts of St Louis. It was also great for bringing pets as there is a fenced in yard. Parking is either street parking or an alley way access to park in the back it's tight fit for a full size suv however it can be done.

What an adorable house that’s been very cutely updated. My best friend and I visited the St. Louis area for our annual 1/2 birthday trip and this was the first trip to St. Louis and it was just delightful and the house was perfect for us! The host was super friendly, extremely communicative and responsive and that is very much appreciated! We can’t wait to come back to the area again!

The host was the best! The property was clean and just how it was in the listing. The host was amazing and was able to answer any questions we had.

This house was located perfectly in the middle of everything we planned on doing for our weekend stay. Although it's located near a busy intersection, you don't notice the noise once inside. I loved the fact that my family could bring our dogs along for our stay. Christina responded to messages in a timely manner and included a welcome book with a list of things to do and see close by. Would definitely stay again on another trip.

The place is great, if you are looking for proximity to forest park, the universities, or great Italian food this is it. We stayed a couple nights with our pup and it was perfect for the three of us! Our pup loved the yard, and all the great walks nearby. Kitchen was great to cook in, and the grocery store is less than a 5 min drive away.
Only thing I would have done differently is make a reservation at Favazza's. We heard great things, and they were packed all weekend. it is literally just down the street from this place!

Nicely remodeled house within easy walking distance of plenty of restaurants, Italian groceries and deli’s. Close to the botanical gardens too. Highly recommended!

The property is located on a busy corner on The Hill. It’s within walking distance of a couple of eateries. There is parking in the back, but I found it to be tight and didn’t attempt it; I parked on the street. Check-in was effortless. The property is really cute! Loved the tile work in the bathroom. Everything we needed was provided. The host even left us a $10 gift card to a coffee spot down the street; unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to use it, but loved the gesture! Beds were comfortable. We brought our two dogs and we LOVED the fenced in outdoor area! It was convenient for us to be able to open the back door and let them out to potty! It was noisy at night - lots of loud cars, music, etc. Loved the guest handbook to provide us with all the information we needed!
If you’re staying with others, it’s important to know that the home is laid out like a shotgun-type home. You move from the front door, through the living room, through the master bedroom, and into the kitchen. The bathroom is right off the kitchen, and there is a small bedroom in the back of the home. The back door is on the small bedroom. So you must walk through someone’s bedroom to get to common areas. Not an issue for us, but could be for others.
Suggestions: the door between the kitchen and master bedroom sticks and is super loud if you shut it and must forcefully open it.
The bathroom could benefit from a potty fan. It gets super steamy in there! Hot showers, though!

My husband and our pup stayed here as part of our honeymoon/road trip. The house was cute, cozy, and super clean while the yard was perfect for our pup. Christina was excellent in answering our questions promptly. A great stay!

Stayed over Labor Day week. Everything was as advertised. Clean updated pet friendly home with everything you need to have a great stay. Cristina was easy to ger hold but I did not need to call her once we arrived. Location is near a lot of sites and events. Would recommend to any family. Only partial negative was it was on two pretty busy streets. Overall great place to stay.

Close ,easy drive to hospital. Safe neighborhood with many dining options. The rental was very neat and clean, with comfortable beds. Our only concern was the shower did not have any water pressure.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at this property. The directions were spot on and we always had parking available in front of the property.
The property was so cute, clean, and exactly what's advertised.
We followed a dinner recommendation and found activities to do around the area, with a commute no longer than 10-15 minutes tops.
We'd go back!

This property was exactly what we needed for our two days in STL. We visited the zoo and magic house with our almost 2 year old. This home had one bedroom with a door, which was exactly what we needed for our pack n play.

I was so happy at how clean the interior was. The house itself is old but once inside you don’t even think about that bc everything has been renovated. I especially appreciated the design of the kitchen and bathroom.
As For recommendations, I would recommend a non-slip mat for the tub and a couple more lamps here and there.

Christina was a wonderful host, and the house was perfect for myself, husband, and 6 year old who had a perfect bed of her own, but usually would crawl into our king-sized bed sometime during the night. We were also able to bring our old fur-baby who loves to travel with us and the yard was perfect for him. The location was a little noisy but we wanted to be in the city near everything so that's to be expected. Loved being about to walk to the nearby coffee shop for some gooey butter cake, and loved being so close to the zoo and botanical gardens. We also spent time at the City Museum and the Arch.

The house is in the hill neighborhood in St Louis. It was small to look at from the outside but quite nice inside. Catherine who is the owner was very communicative. The place suited our family fine. Bathroom was good and modern. The cleaning crew before us did not clean the sheets in the second bedroom but we were able to find replacement sheets and pillow covers. Overall recommended.

My family and I came back home to St. Louis to visit friends for the weekend and this house on The Hill was perfect for our stay. The owner was great about sending all of the needed information to check-in. One nice little bonus was a $10 gift card to Park Avenue Coffee that the owner left for us. I love coffee and this gave me a chance to get coffee and some gooey butter cake (a St. Louis specialty). The house is located within very close proximity to wonderful dining options and a grocery store. You can also see The Arch off in the distance as you walk around the neighborhood.
The only issue that we had (and it was very minor!) was that the dishwasher was filled with dirty dishes when we arrived. My husband was looking for a dinner plate to microwave some leftovers and he couldn't find one so he used a bowl. After he was finished his meal, he opened the dishwasher to put his bowl in and he found all the dinner plates in there but they were dirty. Again, this was so minor that we didn't even bother the owner with it and we would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful weekend with the family. The house was perfect for what we needed it for. It was clean and all the utensils we needed were available. It is a corner house right next to a busy street. We were concerned about the noise but, once we were inside and had air conditioning running, we were unable to hear any traffic that was driving by. The owners had a neat little book that had restaurants and places to visit during your stay. There was no shortage of Italian restaurants in the neighborhood!! An added bonus the owners left us a gift card for a coffee shop down the street.

We had the best time on our first trip to St. Louis!! Where you stay can be a make or break for your experience and it really set the tone for us. It was so cozy and welcoming and wonderful! We hope to be fortunate enough to stay here again during future visits!

overall great stay, easy check-in, and communication.
I do wish there was a full-length mirror and the request to clean was a little much since there is a heavy cleaning fee.

Overall a good place to stay. Good access to Freeways. Good restaurants, grocery stores and touristy stuff nearby. Parking is ok. Side yard is good, if you have a pet. Low street noise at night. Good heat and hot water. Good Wi-Fi and streaming services. Clean, comfortable and functional furniture. Good communication with owner/manager. Would stay at location again.

My wife and I stayed here for a week before Christmas and enjoyed it immensely! The home is set up perfectly and has a great living room, a spacious master bedroom with a king sized bed, and a newly remodeled kitchen and bathroom. Everything was super clean and new and the whole home has been re-done by the new owner.
We traveled with our dog and she LOVED the big side yard. It was great to let her outside in the totally fenced in yard for her to play.
The location is also outstanding. We were within walking distance of several restaurants and took advantage of that. We also were a 2 minute drive to both Park Avenue Coffee and Shaw’s coffee. Also, the neighborhood is about 5-10 minutes to the Central West End and 10-15 mins to Clayton.
We loved our stay and the host is SUPER nice and was very response to any question we had. I highly recommend staying here.

Nice little house that suited our needs, while in town for a wedding. We have 2 dogs and the fenced in yard was AMAZING during the cold weekend. The house had everything we needed and parking in the back was handy. You can tell that the house was recently updated and all the little touches made it feel homey
