La bâtiment si majestueux et surtout le personnel si courtois. Principal ment le concierge, je crois son nom était Ferenti. il parlait espagnol parfaitement et nous a beaucoup facilité la vie.
Tout était parfait

Excellent staff. Great view. Great Service. Amazing kids recreational activities
Certain couches in the fireplace lobby need some serious maintenance

The proximity to the Parc Oméga, the indoor and outdoor pools.
The service was really bad, almost no choice for food outside of the hotel.

The location was beautiful. I cannot connect on the breakfast because i only had coffee.
Outdoor space could be spruced up, for example painting.

The grounds of Montebello are wonderful. Breakfast buffet is delightful, if a tad expensive, but worth it overall. There is a warmth and beauty to Montebello that leaves you feeling peaceful and refreshed.
I thought the restaurant was expensive for dinner. We had a lovely dinner in Montebello village the second night that was much less expensive.

Room and friendly service at Front Desk.
Squeaky bathroom door, Room 252.

helpful, courteous staff. beautiful setting, lots of outdoor seating by the river, gorgeous Art Deco indoor pool. very interesting manoir next door, lovely walking trails and close to the pretty village of Montebello.
no paper or pens in the bedroom. only one jacuzzi working in the indoor swimming pool. guests shouldn’t automatically have to pay a daily activities surcharge -it should be levied only when the activities are used. it is not clearly stated and unfair for those people who only use the indoor pool which has always been included in the room rate.
We do not own a car and it would have been good to have a shuttle bus to Masson to catch a bus-there must be other guests who need public transport to get to the hotel in this day and age.

We enjoyed the lobby for relaxing.
You could have something in the room to explain times. We missed breakfast because we did not know the schedule.

I liked the location and warm greetings from staff.
The room was very small, outdated, and cold. Hotel price was not included in breakfast. Meals were very expensive compared to what you get. We left the dining room half hungry.
I felt l did not get my money worth.

atmosphere
may have been the time of year. the fireplace was only 1/6th used.
only one restaurant to choose from.

Beautiful hotel. There are many things to do for adults and children. We spent only one night, but I would recommend at least two to have an opportunity to see everything. The staff are friendly, helpful and very accommodating.
The rooms are small. It is a tight squeeze for a family of 4. The food is expensive and does not have a very varied menu.

Not enough food options. Gift shop not open , no optiins to buy snacks.

The historic building, property, staff, variety of activities were exceptional.
Drinks and food were expensive. The 2 hottubs for the number of people was inadequate and could use an updated. A few more saunas wouldn't hurt.

The lobby area was lovely. Staff were all very friendly. The spa was gorgeous. The buffet breakfast was underwhelming for the price (would like more options, no croissants, no egg station - sausages and “omelettes” dry and inedible) but restaurant staff excellent. Room service was fast and delicious.
Buffet breakfast.

There were large stains on the bedspread that you don’t see when you walk in but definitely noticed after unpacking

The property itself was absolutely beautiful. The town of Montebello is a hidden gem. we loved all the cross country ski trails both at resort and in the area. The rooms were spacious and clean however a bit dated. the bathroom was a bit small but the shower was horrible bc it sprayed water everywhere. the beds were very comfortable and we got a good night sleep as it was very dark and quiet. the history of the château was super interesting too. the pool was large and also quite unique. the grounds of the hotel are beautiful it is very peaceful and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
The downsides would have to be the value for money. The historic and heritage component of the 5 star was there but the rooms being dated and the washroom could have been better.Appreciating that it’s a family resort the pool area was loud with lots of kids and it would be good if the hotel could have an adult swim hour in the day.

The Chateau Montebello is an iconic location and perfect for a winter weekend getaway. Having a wine or cocktail by the fireplace in the cozy lobby is an event in an of itself. Our room was comfortable and cozy. Staff throughout the hotel were excellent. Room service was fast and food excellent. Love this place!
A few things could be improved:
While I appreciate the rustic charm of the place, bathrooms are in need of upgrades. Tub was slow to drain while showering.
The interior pool is amazing and we appreciated the extended opening hours until 8pm the holidays. But the whole hall was rather dimly lit with the pool lights out. It could be so much more inviting and friendly with better lighting.
we asked for bathrobes and were told they were all in the laundry. “Maybe tomorrow,” we were told. A resort like this should have bathrobes for every guest.

Returning guests, love the lobby, the grounds, all the dogs in hotel, all the activities, friendly staff, beautiful grounds..
Very fun good atmosphere at Christmas, Jan 4-6, hanging in the lobby, having drinks, playing board games. Had a wonderful massage. Staff really contribute to good feel with their friendly personalities, including bar staff, reception, concierge, and curling staff.
Sadly weather lead to a lot of outdoor activities not being available; it was nice the fee to rent a curling ice was waived as a result. Perhaps free horse sleigh rides could have been offered as well.
The restaurant was good, but we remember better. The breakfast buffet now seems to be a 1/2 buffet, vs a full buffet sadly, it used to be much more expanded.. there is now a dinner buffet, which is a nice addition. Buffet should have juices, you have to ask the waiter they don't offer. I ordered poached eggs off the menu, it was fine, but for $22 it would have been nice to garnish the plate with some fruit etc. The dinner menu was good and the food was excellent quality; there used to be a table d'hote option also which was nice (3-course meal).
We checked in at 2, room wasn't available but said we'd be on the priority list and texted when ready. It was 4pm before we got a text, which was fine as we found things to do, but I heard another family say they arrived at 3 and their room was ready.
I requested an old room, as I like the old style. However, for the price, the room should be in better condition. The duvet cover was torn, a pillow case had a stain, the carpet was very stained, and the couch cushions were very stained, and it was covered with a plaid throw.

Nice hotel, good restaurant- need reservation, fire place in the lobby, fire pit outside, nice atmosphere, nice and friendly staff
Just one thing- our room was near some equipment that was vibrating, not sure what, maybe generators, we didn't feel it at first but when we went to sleep it became obvious, we were tired, thought it would be ok to sleep but in the morning didn't feel well. Staff was nice and gave us a discount.

Staff was amazing and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The dining was exceptional. The Christmas decorations made it a very pleasurable stay.
It was a little pricey but I knew that before booking our stay.
