Location was great - walking distance to Beale St, Sun Studios and Mississippi River. Breakfast was very good and the 24/7 coffee available in the lounge area was terrific. Room was good size and very comfortable.

Perhaps a few more tables in the breakfast area, but really nothing to complain about at all.

Schöne große saubere Zimmer. Nette Lobby mit Sitzmöglichkeiten und Frühstücksbereich. Limonade, Tee und Kaffee immer vorhanden. Typisch Amerikanisches Frühstück mit Waffeln. Super nettes und hilfsbereites Hotelpersonal. Pool vorhanden, rechts neben dem Empfang ein Raum um Knabbersachen usw zu kaufen. Ein sehr gutes Hotel für einen Aufenthalt in Memphis. Beale street nur paar min entfernt, Burger King und Mac Donald Stück die Strasse rauf.

Der Fernseher, war immer nur im Hotelmodus und zeigte nur ein kleines Bild, ließ sich nicht als Vollbild umschalten. Am Wochende ist die Straße schon mal bisschen lauter aber alles noch im grünen Bereich 😀

Accommodation itself was of the expected standard

I don’t think we will ever forget the unpleasant check-in experience on arrival at the hotel. The receptionist on duty the afternoon of Thursday May 9th 2024 was not merely surly, she was hostile in demeanour and words before we had uttered a syllable. She continued in the same vein for a good 10-15 minutes, as unhelpful and obstructive as she could possibly be. Unless she can bring herself at least to be civil to all guests, she should not be employed in that role. In addition to the above, we had the greatest difficulty in modifying our reservation in the days leading up to arrival, as we were entitled to do. The hotel made no response whatsoever to repeated messages via Booking.com, nor indeed to telephone calls made on our behalf by Booking.com and by helpful staff at our previous hotel in Oxford, Mississippi (also a La Quinta). Phone calls were put on hold and then cut off. While I would not rule out booking a La Quinta hotel elsewhere in the future, I would not recommend my worst enemy to book the one in Downtown Memphis. An unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons.

Good central location, close to Beale Street and High Street. Free car parking and good wifi.

Das Hotel liegt fußläufig zur Innenstadt. Zur Pyramide läuft man eine halbe Stunde am Mississippiufer entlang. Der Fahrstuhl und der Blick von der Spitze der Pyramide über den Fluss und die Stadt sind spektakulär. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Innenpool, den wir jedoch nicht genutzt haben. Alles war sauber, die Betten gut. Der Parkplatz auch.

Das Frühstück war halt amerikanisch schlicht, der Kaffee schmeckt anderswo besser.
