Impossible to beat the proximity to Volcanos NP. The price point is fantastic relative to similar properties. The rooms were clean and well stocked with anything you might need. Welcome treat was a great touch. The property itself was cool and definitely decorated in a unique, cool manner. But what made this place excellent were the hosts, Joy and John, who clearly want your stay to be great. And ours was.

Very comfy The owners were very responsive to our requests

The host is great and the hot tub was perfect after the 74km ride on our bikes.

Clean, cozy room with breakfast muffins, fruit, yogurt, coffee and tea available. Very convenient to Volcano National Park. Hot tub a plus. Friendly and helpful owner. Eclectic setting was perfect for our needs.

Interesting layout revolving around a communal space. Place was cool even with the relatively high ambient heat.

I know VRB is a difficult process. With this said, for a lot of money for a few hours, I expected cleanliness, floors not coated with oil, etc. Coffee stained coffee cups, moldy room, oil spread around on the fllors, when I used the toilet the seat acually came off as I was standing up. I am asking the owners to spend the time to actually clean the rooms and check the amenities. Could be a nicer place to stay if this was done.

We loved our stay. The communication was excellent and John is friendly and laid back, making us feel at home. The location is very close to Vollcao NP so perfect for a visit to the park. The room had all the amenities we needed including a powerful hairdryer. We were delighted to have fresh papaya and muffins in the room, which we ate on our little lanai. There is a hot tub in the courtyard. We slept very well listening to the frogs and rain. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful environment!

Only a few miles from the Kīlauea crater, comfy space in the forest. Delicious papayas and awesome banana nut muffins upon
Check-in. I’d recommend to anyone.

Perfect location on Big Island, just outside Volcano National Park, all the necessary amenities with so many Hawaiian extras that make your stay pleasurable and special!! Love the Jade Oasis and will definitely come back!!

The Jade Oasis is hidden in the rainforest. It's got a rustic vibe (reminds me a little of my Berkeley "hippie" friends' place) and was very clean. Bed was quite comfortable. The papayas and muffins were a lovely surprise, and the morning coffee + creamer hit the spot! All rooms are ringed around the hot tub, which was perfect for an early morning soak. The decor is eclectic -- lots of paintings of the volcano, the hot tub is ringed with disco lights, and the floor is painted to look like lava! The aesthetic explores the tension between the volcano (fire) and the rain forest (water). Location is very good -- a few minutes' drive to Volcano NP and Volcano Village, and if it's not raining, the neighborhood looks ideal for a walk. John and Joy provided some helpful books about Hawaii and their recommendations for local places. Easy to communicate with. I felt fine as a solo female traveler. This is a special place.

This place is in a great location. John is so friendly and made sure our visit to the big island was the best.

John was an amazing host! Place is exactly as described/pictured. So close to the park, great place to end the night relaxing in the hot tub. Will definitely return next time I’m checking out the volcanoes.

We found Jade Oasis for a last minute booking to see the current Kilauea eruption since we are staying in Kona. They are in Volcano, 10 minutes from the best viewpoint in the park, so very convenient. The room was updated and had a queen and spare bed, mini fridge, microwave, plates, and we really appreciated the coffee/muffins/yogurt/fruit left in the room for breakfast. The owner has obviously taken care to make the place comfortable, although still with a funky vibe. We would definitely stay here again.

The owner Jon was pleasant, quick to reply and very helpful!
The beds were extremely comfortable and the hot tub was just what we needed after a long day of hiking.
The room came stocked with bottled water, yogurt and home-made muffins making for a convenient breakfast and trail snacks so we could get back on the trails the next morning.
This spot isn't for everyone but the photos are accurate, room was clean and we found it perfectly adequate for a quick, comfortable 1-night stay.

Easy, convenient stay and good home base for exploring Volcanoes National Park. Very welcoming host (John), who was kind enough to offer advice for local places to check out. Water, fruit, muffins and coffee provided in room (very cool). Located very close to the town of Volcano, and easy access to restaurants. Would stay again.

We only stayed one night to see the volcano, but the room was clean and comfy. The muffins, fresh fruit and water were very thoughtful. Thank you John!!

With easy, nearby access to the National Park, this is a convenient, peaceful place. We enjoy the small local restaurants - visited Ohelo and Thai Thai on this trip.

This was a great place to stay for the two of us. It is a short drive to the park which made it easy to come and go if we needed a break. One thing I would suggest is to keep the spare towels in a dry area. Since they are set outside they were all damp prior to use.

John the property owner was very friendly and helpful.

Had not been able to access internet on day of arrival so a bit of confusion (on my part) about room assigned to us. Clean, configurable accommodations and pleasantly surprised by fruit, muffin, bottled water, yogurt, etc. John very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend and would stay again.

I stay at this location for several reasons, it is quiet, private and the owners are awesome. I am working on my property and the proximity to it from this location is easy. It is also a great place to stay if you are visiting HVNP. Give it a shot, I promise you will want to return as I do, over and over again.

Tucked just off the main road, this little hotel is a perfect place to use as basecamp for the Volcano area.

Jade place satisfied our needs for our trip to Volcano National Park.
Only problem was that the jacuzzi was warm, at best, and there was no hot water for a morning shower. When we arrived we were met by a woman, Gail, I believe. She told us the owners were away, but to let her know if we had any problems. We knocked on her door about 8:30 am, and there was no answer. We were not able to shower in the morning, because, even after letting the water run, it did not change temperature!

Very good value for the location. Nice room in a peaceful and beautiful setting. Parking is a bit of an issue.

Not enough parking. Outside is a little cluttered but the room was nice. Plenty of coffee. Nice Surprise - they had fresh fruit, bottled water, and yogurt. Owner was there and he was very nice

Great place to stay to explore volcanoes
Had a wonderful stay here. The property was exactly as advertised, and location is wonderful- only a 5 min drive to the gate of the National Park (making it easy to see lava flows at night). Rooms were clean and well kept and John is a wonderful host, made sure everything was taken care of and offered great tips on things to do. We loved the muffins and yogurt John provided!

Very comfortable stay in Volcano
This was the perfect stay for my son and I. Everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming. The jacuzzi was great, especially after hiking! Yummy muffins and coffee. John and Heather were both so kind. Really appreciated everything!

I feel bad giving such a poor review because the host was kind and obviously put care into the decorations and guest experience. However, my husband has mold and chemical sensitivities, and we found mold around the bath tub ( which we heard is common in the wet environment of this rainy Hawaiian region), and then there was a strong smell of cleaning products ( potentially used to cover up the mold smell). He didn’t feel safe sleeping in the room, so slept in our car. I stayed in the room ( and did enjoy the hot tub!) but was afraid to touch too much in the room as there can be mold spores that spread and it’s not healthy to breath it too much. The location is very convenient for volcano viewing:)
