No problems that mattered.. Could have been a bit hard to find at night. Pheasant burger tasted like chicken, less gamey than I expected but still good

Das Zimmer war geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Selbst Föhn und Bügeleisen samt -brett sind vorhanden. Ebenso ein Wasserboiler mit Kaffee- und Teebags. Das Frühstück war ein eher karg ausgestattetes Buffet bzw eben selfservice. Vielleicht eher etwas für Wurstesser. Um noch ein Croissant zu bekommen muß man früh da sein. Eggs Benedikt kann man sich für 8£ bestellen. Gut zu wissen: ausgerechnet am Sonntag (so die info am Checkin) geht Frühstück nur bis 09h. Tatsächlich aber gab es am Sonntag ein wirklich gutes Buffet. Wir hatten im Nachhinein den Eindruck, daß dies ein öffentliches Angebot war - für zahlende Gäste aus dem Ort .

Das Personal des Pubs scheint das Hotel nur nebenbei mit zu managen. Ein- und Auschecken findet an der Bar des Pubs statt. Vielleich etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig für Deutsche: bezahlt wird schon bevor man die Schlüssel bzw Karte fürs Zimmer bekommt. Am 2. Nachmittag blieb die Heizung im Zimmer kalt - bei Außentemperaturen unter Null. An der Bar sagte man uns daraufhin, dass eine halbe Stunde nach dem Hochdrehen noch keine Reaktion zu erwarten sei - wir sollten noch abwarten. Nach einer Stunde war die Situation die selbe, man wollte sich der Sache annehmen. Evtl müssten wir umziehen. Wir hatten Karten fürs Theater, kamen spät zurück, das Zimmer war immer noch kalt und keine Nachricht von der Verwaltung da. Beim Auschecken am nächsten Tag waren wir dann unter einer anderen Zimmernr. gelistet ... Das vom Pub-Personal bestellte Taxi kam nicht."Oh, he forgot- I'll kick his ass"..

The location was perfect for visiting a customer. I used the restaurant for Dinner and Breakfast, the food and service was excellent. My room was very spacious and comfortable, I was really impressed with the cleanliness and facilities for the overnight stay.

Bed was large and comfy, breakfast a'la carte was great. The size of the room also very impressive.

Unfortunately, bathtub was dirty inside. I always run wet wipes through sanitary objects that I intend to use, From the bath tub it came grubby with thick dirt. I had no time to clean the whole tub, so I only cleaned the bottom and showered. Major disappointment, as the room was otherwise fine.

food was very good and staff were exceptional. level of cleanliness is very good too.

The room was spacious. It had a great sea view. The area was quiet overnight. The restaurant menu had a good variety and was tasty. Breakfast choices were good, too.

The TV was poorly positioned even though there was sufficient wall space for a better position, just needed to move the mirror. Too dog friendly, for me, as I didn't like the wet dog odour in the restaurant.

The weather

Friendly helpful staff, good breakfasts, great deals on drinks and the option to decline room servicing in exchange for a drink - an excellent idea to reduce the waste of bin liners, laundered towels etc that is not needed.

The fire alarm in the night of Sunday 23rd was disruptive, but not your fault, I hope that vapeing guest gets banned from hotels. I really didn’t think much of the room safe being on the floor, it rendered it unusable. Very poor planning and discriminatory for disabled or older guests like us.

The bedroom was large and bed comfortable. Water was hot and shower good. The staff very helpful and made our family Easter memorable.

Complicated TV menu, never had one so complicated in any other hotel. After such a great breakfast, we would sometimes prefer lite bites on and evening but unfortunately they wasn't available after 5pm. Neither of these however spoilt the experience
