Charming Gingerbread Cottage in Historic Campgrounds in Oak Bluffs Sleeps Nine
Extra-große Lebkuchenhäuschen in historischen Campingplätzen in Oak Bluffs, schläft neun.

This beautiful cottage was in perfect proximity to all that Oak Bluffs has to offer! The owner, Andrew, was very kind and accommodating. Great for a larger group looking to soak up the tranquil and historic ambiance of the island.

Fabulous location and Andrew was a great host!

Well equipped and charming house in the unique Campground area in the wonderful town of Oak Bluffs. Close to stores, parks, beaches, coffee, ice cream - huge quantities of quaint in the area. Some might be thrown by bathrooms being on 1st floor (bedrooms on 2nd) but that comes with the territory. Very responsive owners/hosts.

This was an awesome adventure! My family enjoyed the wonderful front porch and the access to the downtown. The "Campground" is filled with beautiful cottages and gardens and limits car access making it very safe to walk through the community. Andrew was a pleasure to work with and answered all of our questions quickly.

This is a terrific house with an outstanding owner, who went out of his way to make himself helpful during our visit. The house is quite comfortable and a 10 minute walk from the shopping district in Oak Bluffs. The one thing some people might want to know in advance is the bathrooms are both on the ground floor, so none on the second floor with the bedrooms--not a big deal for us. We loved our stay and would highly recommend the place.

Great location, lovely home.

Great stay at Andrews. He was very flexible, communicative, and very kind! The location is right in the historic gingerbread community. Close to walk to town and around the neighborhood. Read the reviews and know the layout of the house and you won’t be surprised. Was also great to have all the beach supplies we needed! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a fantastic stay at Andrews place! It was a quick 10 minute walk to all that Oak Bluffs has to offer. Staying in the MV Campground in an original cottage was really fun. We liked having the ability to do our laundry while there. We did bring some of our own food and made some meals, it was fun enjoying the vintage kitchen. We sat on the porch in the rocking chairs every night and also enjoyed coffee out there in the morning!
Andrew was an awesome host and let us check in early, he also left us a bottle of champagne as my husband and I were visiting the island for our 10 year wedding anniversary, it was a very nice touch!
This cottage was charming and quiet - we would definitely stay here again!

This property is in a fantastic location in the MV Camping Association. Easy walk to the Tabernacle, and in an area where the cottages are spaced a bit further apart. Andrew, one of the owners, was v helpful & responsive! Cottage is well stocked w/linens, beach towels/chairs & games. The two renovated bathrooms + laundry space are real plus, but for families note that both bathrooms are on the 1st floor in back of cottage & all bedrooms are upstairs. A slight remodel to the original kitchen would really elevate this cottage. We had such a nice stay, and really enjoying the living room space, and wrap-around porch!

We had a great stay at Andrew's home in Oak Bluffs, the location couldnt have been better. Sweet neighborhood with barely any cars. Walk to town in a couple minutes. Front porch was lovely and a great place to hang out. Updated bathrooms along with the outdoor shower was a plus. The bedrooms were roomy enough for us. Its an older house but well maintained and has a lot of charm. We would definitely rent again, Thank you so much Andrew.

Perfect Location!
We went to a family wedding on Martha's Vineyard and this house had all the amenities we needed. The porch was a wonderful place to enjoy our morning coffee and the family room was a comfortable place to lounge in the evening. Our favorite part about the property was its unique location and history. We loved walking into town and seeing all the charming Victorian cottages. Andrew was great to work with!

Our family had a great week in the cottage. Two suggestions would be having more fans, it was a hot week on the island, and kitchen drawers had too many unnecessary and old utensils that made finding what you needed difficult. We would certainly rent again!

Convenient, quiet, great location for all Oak Bluffs has to offer
Great cottage nestled within a Ginger Bread cottage park. Cozy front porch to relax after a day of easy walking to all shops, restaurants and areas of interest Oak Bluffs has to offer.

Annual Girls Trip
This was the perfect spot for our annual girls trip. We were close enough to downtown so we could walk to enjoy our favorite shops and food. We also loved being able to sit on the wonderful front porch at night to relax.

Perfect Location, hospitality, and comfort
One of the BEST locations in Oak Bluffs. The house is in the charming MVCA campgrounds but it is not in the most center part where the foot traffic is constant. It is an easy 8 minute walk to the center of Oak Bluffs. The cottage is also positioned to easily get out of Oak Bluffs by bike or car, you can avoid traffic easily when going to Edgartown or Menemsha.
Andrew is an outstanding host, especially with all the chaos due to Covid-19. The cottage super clean, it is clear they have been working to make sure everyone is safe when visiting. The cottage is well stocked with general items (linens, paper towels, soap) as well as all the little things that you are used to having at home (extra towels, toaster oven, coffee pot, cast iron pan, charcoal grill, board games, boogie boards, and so much more). It really made our stay so enjoyable. Andrew was also incredibly responsive, helpful, and caring.
It is still cottage living, there is no TV (which shouldn't matter go out and enjoy the vineyard), no AC (but there are fans), limited outlets for device charging (we just set up a charging station in the dining room), and as with many of the homes in Oak Bluffs...a unique layout (three bedrooms are in a row so you have to pass through the first two to get to the last). Most of this seems clear in the description but not everyone reads those.

Relaxing vacation!
The house is charming on the beautiful campground grounds with easy access to downtown and all its amenities. It was incredibly peaceful even though the houses are all fairly close together. The outdoor shower was a bonus and the wraparound porch with rocking chair was great for reading. Andrew was very responsive while planning our trip and when we were on the Island. The multiple rooms bedrooms made it easy for everyone to have their own space. Thanks for a wonderful, memorable vacation!

Gingerbread Delight!
Location, charm, hospitality....this cottage has it all!
But first, I cannot say enough about how wonderful Andrew was to work with - our trip landed in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic. Andrew went above and beyond with helping us make our trip happen, and we were so very grateful for his communication and reassurance!
In addition to being adorable, the house was both comfortable and relaxing, with engaging spaces both in/outdoors. The front porch was my favorite - great for watching, chatting, and reading. Super clean, plenty of beach & bath towels, washer/dryer and well-equipped kitchen. The outdoor shower was lovely, as well!
The location was FABULOUS. We didn’t bring our car over for this trip, and it was so liberating! We biked and walked all over Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven, and used the bus to hit Edgartown for a visit. I did notice that the parking for the house would have been awesome, nonetheless.
I loved how there were numerous ways to walk thru the campground and pop out wherever you wanted to in downtown OB - anywhere on Circuit Ave for shopping, the restaurants, or the boat docks.
In all, we truly had a flawles visit thanks to the house, which created a perfect backdrop to everything we wanted to experience!

House has everything you need - linens, towels, tp, soap, etc. Quiet street, a bit of a walk to town but not bad. Outdoor shower is great, only one other shower aside from that. No TV, no heat (went off season so it was a little on the cooler side).
Host was great - easy to reach out to and left a $25 gift card for a local ice cream/candy shop which was much appreciated!

One word sums up our experience at Andrew's cottage in Oak Bluffs, magical. My husband and I took our family and our nieces and nephews for a cousin's week to the Vineyard. We were looking for a property close to everything that we could simply show up with our backpacks and our bikes and the Gingerbread Cottage in the Campground did not disappoint. The space was perfect for our group of 2 adults, 3 adult-sized kids and 3 early teens; a mix of adequate sized common spaces and separate bedroom spaces for those who wanted to get away. We spent almost every evening lounging on the porch and spent a fair amount of time playing Monopoly at the dining room table because we were not blessed with the best weather. We found ourselves able to cook for our large group in the small, but efficient kitchen. It really had EVERYTHING we needed. And we loved being walking distance to tons of restaurants and shops, which gave us the chance to follow our noses, sometimes literally. Rooms were cozy, but had everything you could need and beds were super comfy. Let me repeat, beds in the cottage were very comfortable. Everyone slept well and surprisingly, even a few slept in late! Having two bathrooms was key and we definitely took advantage of the washer and dryer (again, there was pretty poor weather our week). There were plenty of dishes, glasses, towels, beach towels, kitchen towels, etc for all our needs. The house is just a stones throw from the bike path heading to State Beach and on to Edgartown, and we definitely took advantage of it. We had initially not planned to rent a car, but with all the poor weather decided it might be fun to explore farther out on the island (and be able to retreat to our car when it rained). It was super easy to just walk to one of the rental places in town and rent just for a couple of days. The house has two parking spots right in the back of the house. Key in this area where car traffic is limited.
Andrew was an AWESOME host!! So great to deal with, easy to get a hold of and happy to answer ALL questions. It really felt as if we were renting the house from old friends! Thanks so much for sharing your little piece of magic with us. I only hope we get to return again next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed this charming home in the heart of Oak Bluffs. The owner, Andrew, was very helpful and accommodating and the house had everything we needed. We’ll have wonderful memories of our stay there!

Our extended family spent a long weekend here over Labor Day weekend. The house was a little tight for the size of our family (5 adults, 4 children), but we found it to be cozy and loved the sense of togetherness it brought! It rained one day while there and the owners have plenty of games to on hand which came in handy for our little ones. Speaking of little ones, there is a very steep staircase in the kitchen that is gated at the top, but is not gated at the bottom, so families with small children would have to keep a close watch or block the bottom. We had difficulty closing the old windows which are original to the structure, and the owner came by to help us close them, and he was very pleasant to deal with. Having the porch with rocking chairs and swing was also nice to spend the morning drinking our coffee. The location is on the outer ring of the Gingerbread village, so you don't get the high foot traffic you see in the inner ring, which was nice as it offered more privacy. The home was clean and inviting, and we enjoyed our time there! I ran into an issue with the refund return being slightly delayed, and the owner was extremely helpful in getting it resolved. The mistake was found to be unrelated to the rental company or owner. I would recommend, but the space is somewhat limited for larger families.
