I had high expectations given the prior reviews, but this property exceeded expectations. After we got home, my wife, said: "Every time I turned around, they had exactly what I needed and it was exactly where I needed it, and I didn't even know I needed it. It's like they thought of everything and went out of their way to make staying here easy and comfortable."
A few things that I did not see in prior reviews that might be good for future guests to know:
1. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable! It is by far the most comfortable bed (and pillows) we have ever had at a vacation property.
2. The pool is the perfect temperature and was never crowded. We were always able to find loungers out there.
3. The unit looks so much better in person than it does in the pictures.
4. It seemed the upstairs patio furniture was recently replaced as it looked brand new and was also very comfortable. I did not realize how much time we would spend out there, but the evening breeze was so relaxing we were out there every night.
5. The grill was easy to use. The unit's back porch was shaded in the afternoon and evening (actually most of the day because of the trees), so it wasn't in the blazing sun while I was cooking dinner. It was very comfortable to cook and eat out there every evening.
Overall this place gets an A+ (the owners too - they were as kind and accommodating as the prior reviews say!)

This property was great all around. Plenty of space in the unit. Super clean and well stocked. The garage is filled with equipment for just about any activity you want, biking, snorkeling, boogie boarding, day at the beach, etc. The proximity to the pool can't be beat. You can just hop in right out the back door. The Mauna Lani complex is excellent as well. The unit gives you access to the beach club which is maybe a 5 minute drive. And you can ride your bike or drive to the grocery store and shops just nearby. It was definitely a great vacation spot. I hope we get to return again soon.

This is an amazing property, highest standards when it comes to cleanliness. Accommodation is well stocked and contained everything we needed. Centrally located to all the best beaches, access to the Mauna Lani beach club, fabulous pool and grounds are exceptionally kept.
Definitely looking forward to our next stay.

Excellent property. We have stayed at a number of condos in the Fairways and this was the best. Very clean and well stocked. Laura responded quickly to our questions. Great location by the pool … would be very convenient for family traveling with children.
If you are there on a Saturday closest to a full moon, the Mauna Lani Twilight … a wonderful evening of talk story ad music.

It was great staying in a condo that supplied basic necessities in the kitchen. We also had access to beach chairs and bikes. And of course the best perk was an access card to the Beach Club. My friends and I call it Mai Tai beach and it’s our happy place!

Place was better than advertised. The condo has absolutely everything you need for an amazing vacation. I was shocked at the number of consumable items supplied. Most places only give you enough for a few days, but we had more than enough for our entire trip. The condo was beautiful. The pool was right outside. Parking was easy and convenient. We took advantage of the private BBQ a few nights. The Mauna Lani area was beautiful, and I cannot forget the owners beach which had a beautiful beach, amazing snorkeling, and calm waters for paddleboarding. Tried to book for next year already, but our dates we taken.

We've been fortunate enough to stay on the big island several times. This unit is the best equipped we've ever been to. There is simply too much to list. The unit itself was very clean and spacious. It had a nice lanai and barbeque and was right across from the pool. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend to others.

Beautiful condo located right in front of the pool! The condo was spacious, clean and fully equipped for our beach vacation. Snorkeling gear, paddleboard, beach toys, floating devices, bikes, scooters, etc. We enjoyed barbecuing from the lanai with a direct view to the pool. The Shops at Mauna Lani are a short 2 minute drive. Perfect for quick groceries and shopping. The owner's beach is beautiful with calm waters for children, lots of shade and is only a short 6 minute drive. It had all the amenities needed! Beautiful white sand beach, snorkeling, restaurant, etc. We absolutely loved our vacation and our stay at this condo. We would not hesitate to return!

I’ve been visiting Mauna Lani for 14 years and this is by far the best 2 bedroom unit I have stayed at. The home was impeccably clean and maintained. The location can’t be beat as you can walk right out your door to the pool. This would be a huge plus with small children. We will be back again!

I have done the Hawaii 70.3 race a number of times now and this location (Fairways Mauna Lani) is simply a no brainer.
This specific condo was clean, comfortable, and very well stocked with everything. The few days before the race I just wanted to chill n cook at home and it had everything - even Tupperware for storing the huge amounts of leftovers. The owner Laura had informed me that the microwave was not working - and she went to the trouble of making sure a replacement unit was ready when I got there - much appreciated !
The garage even had a bike pump - useful for our race bikes !
This unit was a great place to chill and recuperate from the heat. I’m definitely thinking of returning.

We love the Fairways and this was our 8th stay at the complex over the last 9 years. This townhouse was equipped at just the right level with everything you needed and more. Laura was a pleasure to deal with as well as responsive and flexible. This may be the best unit we have stayed in at the Fairways and the location across from the pool and gym were perfect for us and our active teenagers.

We very much enjoyed our wonderful stay at this beautifully decorated and well maintained spacious condo. This condo was thoughtfully stocked with great cooking supplies and dishes. Access to the private beach with all the beach toys was a plus. We appreciated the guitars, CDs and easy access to pool. Quiet area and enjoyed riding to Fairmont Orchid on the provided bikes.
Would love to return.

Resort quality condo with beautiful pool and outdoor space. Home was fully equipped with everything you could need for a fantastic holiday. Owners have thought of everything, including recreational equipment. Owner was very responsive and extremely considerate. We will definitely return!

You know how vacation rental pics almost always look better in photos than in person? That was NOT true with this property. The listing pics are great but this property is much more spacious and beautiful in person. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook/clean for our family. Access to coolers, boogie boards, and bikes was such a nice bonus. The entrance to the pool could not be any closer to this unit which made for an incredibly easy entry into the pool. One note of caution: beware of Karens on the premises. OG Karen#1 contacted the property owner to advise that we had a party of 5 (maybe even up to 6) people staying in our unit which is hilarious since the unit sleeps 5. We did in fact have 5 people in our party lol. While at the pool, OG Karen#2 sat down next to my wife and complained about how many kids were there to which my wife responded, “3 of those kids are mine”. There were 6 kids. OG Karen #3 interrupted a group of kids playing catch in the pool to advise them of the HOA’s long-standing prohibition of ball-throwing while at the pool. The group paused for a bit and then resumed ball play once she took her leave. All Karen reporting aside, it was a lovely property and we are already booked for next year!

We enjoyed our stay at this property very much. The home was very clean and well stocked. The location of this townhouse was a short walk or bike trip to the local market and shopping area and quick drive to multiple golf courses. We made time to hike the many trails near the property and along the ocean shore and would love to be able to go back. Mahalo

We'd never visited the Big Island so we weren't quite sure where to stay. We chose this place because of the proximity to the pool within the community and beaches nearby.
The condo is beautiful (pics don't do it justice) and very comfortable. We loved the pool and went swimming everyday- sometimes more than once! The rental comes with access to the owner's beach club which is fabulous. It is a wonderful spot to snorkel! We saw all sorts of fishies.
It's also about a 10 minute walk to the Fairmont where we watched the sunset, but didn't use the beach. The marketplace near by is great for buying groceries and quick dinners. The Island Gourmet Marketplace is about 10 minutes away and has a wider selection (like an ABC store).
It is about a 25-30 minute drive into Kona. We went one day and strolled and decided we were happy to be away from the crowds. But definitely didn't get down to any of the south Kona beaches.
Hapuna Beach and the 69 Beach are about 15 minutes north of the property and are great but you will pay for those.
I will say that if you're sitting outside on the patio, the A/C unit is VERY loud. It's pretty annoying actually. But a small quibble for sure.
We certainly enjoyed it here and would choose it again!

Absolutely loved the condo. Truly felt like our home away from home. Wonderful location. Walkable to beaches, resorts, shopping and restaurants. Spent a lot of time on the patio. Morning coffee, lunch or dinner. Grill was nice to have too. Used the pool daily. Had everything we needed or wanted. This would be our 1st choice to book for future trips.

We loved it! Available bikes, pool, our favorite beach, walking distance to the store. Many amenities. Huge thanks to the owners and manager. Can't wait to be back :)

This place has everything you need for a fantastic Hawaiian vacation. The bikes, beach and snorkel gear were huge bonuses! The home was large and very clean and the location to the pool was so convenient! Laura was great to communicate with. We highly recommend staying here and hope to be back next year!

Very Nice Townhome
This townhome was equipped with everything needed for a great beach vacation. It was clean, comfortable, relaxing and quiet. The beautiful pool was located only a few steps from the back patio. We would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful kohala home. It is beautiful, clean, and quiet. Gorgeous grounds, wonderful pool steps from your door (perfect for kids! No schleping a ton of stuff. Just walk across 12 feet of grass to get to the entrance gate to the pool!), well appointed (it has absolutely everything you need!), and comfortable. Much larger than imagined. Very comfortable beds, plenty of towels and beach towels. And so many extras! Snorkel gear, boogie boards, even many pairs of water shoes incase you forgot yours at home! We didn’t end up using the bikes but they were nice bikes - 4 adult and 1 child bike. Lots of staples and spices in the fridge - it was so easy! We picked up groceries in Kailua Kona, but didn’t need to. The “foodland” market on resort property was the nicest grocery store of all, and honestly not much more(if at all more?!) expensive than other grocery stores we visited. It had absolutely everything we needed. Getting to the beach was a bit of an effort, since the unit isn’t super close to the beach. This resort propert is VERY large, but spread out…not crowded. We used the provided beach club access card and went to that beautiful little beach on property. United a few times. Decent snorkeling. Very calm. Ate at adjacent Na pua restaurant. Delicious, but pricey. Worth it but just fair warming. :)

Our stay here couldn’t have been nicer! Beautiful grounds, pool right out the back door, and access to the beach club which is amazing! Every detail is attended to in this home, and the kitchen and pantry are so well equipped. We can’t wait to come back again!

Even Better than described!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful kohala home. It is beautiful, clean, and quiet. Gorgeous grounds, wonderful pool steps from your door (perfect for kids! No schleping a ton of stuff. Just walk across 12 feet of grass to get to the entrance gate to the pool!), well appointed (it has absolutely everything you need!), and comfortable. Much larger than imagined. Very comfortable beds, plenty of towels and beach towels. And so many extras! Snorkel gear, boogie boards, even many pairs of water shoes incase you forgot yours at home! We didn’t end up using the bikes but they were nice bikes - 4 adult and 1 child bike. Lots of staples and spices in the fridge - it was so easy! We picked up groceries in Kailua Kona, but didn’t need to. The “foodland” market on resort property was the nicest grocery store of all, and honestly not much more(if at all more?!) expensive than other grocery stores we visited. It had absolutely everything we needed. Getting to the beach was a bit of an effort, since the unit isn’t super close to the beach. This resort propert is VERY large, but spread out…not crowded. We used the provided beach club access card and went to that beautiful little beach on property. United a few times. Decent snorkeling. Very calm. Ate at adjacent Na pua restaurant. Delicious, but pricey. Worth it but just fair warming. :)

My husband and I stayed here for six nights at the end of March. The place was perfect! It was very spacious and exactly as it's pictured in the listing. It was amazing having the pool right outside the back door. We had the hot tub to ourselves pretty much every evening. We would highly recommend this property for a great Hawaiian vacation!

This home was perfect! It was in a beautiful area with everything we could have wanted. My wife and I came to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful stay.
The true magic was in the details though. All the beach and snorkeling gear was provided. They also had bikes which we used to ride around the area. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen, the fitness center, the private beach, a guitar tucked away in the closet, and their fantastic master suite. And, had we brought our kids, they would have been set with their gaming systems as well.
