We had 8 adults and 4 kids that fit nicely in this home. If the one queen bed had been a king it would have been perfect. The location couldn’t be better. Just steps from the gondola station and a three minute drive from Main St. River Ridge Rentals was very responsive to the few questions we had. We enjoyed river rafting, the Georgetown Loop train, as well as the Snowflake hiking trail and Main St shopping. We had a great meal at Hearthstone with outstanding service. The house was just as nice as promised and very spacious. They advertise a Meile coffe bar which is great but should mention that a Kuerig and drip maker are also provided. The master bedroom mattress might need replacement. It was very squeaky when moving around on it. Noisy.

Our family of 6 adults and 4 children had a lovely experience at Monarch at Shock Hill. The location is perfect, we were able to walk, drive, or take the gondola to town in minutes, The kitchen was well stocked with spices and plenty of cooking utensils. We loved the Miele coffee machine and high end appliances. The lower level was nice because it had a family room with large windows and doors which let out to the hot tub and fire pit. The management team was extremely responsive and took care of all of our requests. The house is spacious and comfortable, we will be back!

Our extended family of 12 with 6 kids ranging from 10 months to 10 years recently stayed at the Monarch at Shock Hill. It was nice to have three levels to spread out. The house was equipped with top of the line appliances, a well stocked kitchen and even lots of games and toys for the variety of ages. The location was fantastic with easy access to the gondola and hiking trails or a quick drive into town. You can't beat Peak 8 for location. This house really spoiled us!

This property is exactly as advertised, a beautiful, well-appointed home in a quiet neighborhood. We had a wonderful stay and were impressed by the ease of communication with the property managers while on site. We will definitely be staying here again.

This house is beautiful. Has everything one needs to feel right at home. Espresso machine was amazing. Top notch appliances. Beautifully decorated and it has amazing views. Gondola was right there and you can take it up to kids adventures for free. We will definitely come back next time we are in Colorado.

Our home for the week was very comfortable and beautiful. It was in a great location and was extremely clean and extremely well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We normally have to make a trip to the store for some of the essentials, but not here! Lots of soap, detergent, paper towels and much, much more was already there! The staff was very responsive to all of our questions and took care of our requests very quickly and efficiently. All of their personnel were very friendly and extremely helpful and professional!

Absolutely loved this property in Breckenridge! We've been coming to Breck for years with our 2 kids; this year decided to bring extended 3 generation family. This home was exactly what we were hoping for as our base of operations and better than anywhere else we have stayed. The kitchen and living spaces provided ample gathering and private spaces for easy mornings with a spectacular view of the mountain sunrise, and big dinners, game nights and movies by the fireplace. The bedroom suites were both luxurious & quiet. And the location 75 yards to the gondola mid-load was perfect for our first-chair and last-chair snow seekers. Also, we could have charged rent for the steam-shower in the primary bath! Our entire family agrees, we absolutely want to come back here again next year! The only additional support I'd suggest is a guide on using the whole-home oxygen system for my fellow highland travelers. Thanks Monarch see you soon!

This home has everything you need and everything you didn’t know you needed. The access to the gondola is so easy and will take you down into town or up to Peak 7 or 8. We had 3 families in this home and had so much space! We will definitely be back!

We stayed at this vacation rental to celebrate our wedding during our time in Breckenridge. The cabin was very enjoyable and everyone had a great time. The cabin was stocked with everything needed to enjoy our time and the staff were very prompt with any questions that we had. If we ever return to Breckenridge we would definitely book through them again.

Overall we were happy with this VRBO.
The property itself is extremely nice. The amenities were top notch. There is a heated garage with places to put skis and boots. There is a ton of storage to put all your gear. The bedrooms with bathrooms were pristine. I know some people said the beds were uncomfortable but they didn’t bother us. The location was also awesome. It’s about a 3 minute walk to a gondola that takes you to either peak 7 or 8. Some reviewers complained about the location of the hot tub but we thought the hot tub was great.
Now to the negatives. Check in was 4 pm, and we asked to see if we could check in earlier as we had 2 young kids. We were told that we could not as it was a busy weekend. We got there at 4 (already a very late check in), and there were still cleaning people there, and the cleaning people asked us to come back as they weren’t finished. The property team told us to go ahead and let ourselves in, but who wants to start unloading stuff when people are still workin in the house. Then when asked for just a little extra time for check out (which is 10 am), we were told that couldn’t be accommodated. All I asked was for an hour. So it’s ok for the property to not be ready for a very late check in but won’t allow for a slightly later check out that is already extremely early.
Next, only one bathroom had soap and shampoo. By the time we all got settled and noticed, it was very late and had to drive back out to get these items.
We could not find the TV remote to the living room. I contacted the management team about it and was told it was in living room. We looked everywhere and could not find it. I was also told I could control with a tablet, and the only tablet was on the wall that seemed to control the sonos and not the tv. Instead of attempting to help us find it I got haphazard help.
Overall we were happy with the trip because the property and location were top notch. However, if you are going to charge premium price, you should deliver premium service, and there were some aspects that could be improved upon.

Great place close to the gondola kinda of expensive for a 4pm check in and a 10am check out. Makes sense for a multiple day but an overnight not great to come off the slopes to check out and pack up to park in the local parking lot to come back to the slopes.

The heat works REALLY well, so well that we had to open the window in the bottom-floor bedroom to sleep (even though it was below zero outside). But maybe I was just too dumb to work the controls. Checking in and out was super easy.

Excellent experience
The house was very nice with functional rooms to accommodate 1-76 year olds. The roads were plowed each day and the walking distance to the gondolas which went to the ski slopes and town were outstanding.
