Die Lage war sehr gut. Die Pancakes und Smoothies waren sehr lecker. Es gab kostenlose Fahrräder und eine unkomplizierte schnelle Rollervermietung.

Als wir ankamen haben wir kleine Tierchen in unserem Bett gefunden. Von Raupen bis zu kleinen fast unsichtbaren Krabeltieren. Auf Nachfrage wurde das Bett sofort neu bezogen, der Gedanke, dass doch irgendwo ein Tier ist blieb aber während des gesamten Aufenthaltes. Besonders da immer neue Raupen oder Kleintiere auf dem Boden zu finden waren. Zusätzlich haben wir von der vorab gelesen "herzlichkeit" der Vermieter nicht viel spüren können. Im Fokus der Vermieter steht der Kommerz. Touren vor Ort bei denen diese keinen Gewinn machen konnten, wurden uns absichtlich verschwiegen bzw gesagt es gäbe keine Anderen als die, die von ihnen für sehr teures Geld angeboten werden. Wir raten von den angebotenen Touren ab. Auf eigene Faust (mit Roller) ist alles möglich und viel schöner und natürlicher!!

When we arrived, we had to look around to find someone to check us in, then a woman appeared and abruptly asked our name, then gave us a dirty cup half-filled with lukewarm water as a "welcome drink"! Then she threw some brochures on the table and asked us which tour we wanted to book... when we said we needed to rest first and see our room, she gave us a key, with no other word. The sheet on the bed looked like some fabrics sewn together, the bat mat in the bathroom is actually an dirty rubber carpet. The chairs on the balcony are very hard and extremely rusty. The coffee included in the breakfast is instant coffee, otherwise there is an extra charge. We stayed there only because it was already paid for, and we never saw a smile from any of the staff. There are plenty of better options around (at a lesser price!) and we certainly don't recommend this one.

Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Pool ist sehr gross und sieht sehr einladend aus. Die Speisen sind sehr lecker und auch die Getränke haben ein sehr faires Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Fahrräder können kostenfrei geliehen werden, so können auch andere Restaurants auf der Strasse problemlos getestet werden. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und genau wie auf den Bilder aufgezeigt.

Leider wurden wir in beiden Nächten mitten in der Nacht von lauter Bassmusik geweckt, die von der anderen Flussseite kam.

Big spacious room overlooking the river. Great views! Very good service, they picked me up in Dong Hoi and dropped me back off and they arranged a good motorbike for me. Friendly all over!

We absolutely loved our time here, it was the perfect location for us and the hosts were brilliant from start to finish. As such I'll put up a video on our YT channel 66tripsleft within the next month, this will have lots of footage. I was a little concerned about the location being a bit too far out from the town but it was fine, with a few little stores and restaurants within walking distance, although we liked eating at the hotel, by the pool, with a view of the river. This felt like a real homestay, it's run by a family who are always available and it's got such a lovely vibe because of this, with enquiries/drinks dealt with by Hung, meals cooked by his wife, reasonable rates for everything (food, drink, laundry). There's a couple of cycles you can borrow for free. Hung organised a scooter for us for which we paid him (150k dong/day), it was delivered to us and picked up after we left, all perfect. This enabled us to visit Paradise Cave and Dark Cave for a total 1.4million dong (£46), whereas with a tour you will be paying over 1.2 million for each person, per trip, plus having to do it all at the same time as every over tour. It meant we could arrive at Paradise Cave at 11:30 just as every coach was leaving, we had the place almost to ourselves. I've already suggested Phong Nha to a view people and I've recommend the Restful River too, for a brilliant trip.

I don't really have anything negative but as others had said the only issue was the combination of westerner used to soft beds and standard firm Vietnamese (SE Asian) mattresses. If you're coming to Vietnam and spending this sort of money on a hotel then that's what you're going to get everywhere, so come prepared like we did and bring a hiker's small self-inflating airbed, works a treat!

The housekeeper is very welcoming and arranging.

Lovely location on the riverside. Great size and clean swimming pool. You can swim in river or use kayaks (after 5pm when there are less boats). Quickly organized free bikes and also good quality scooters for good price. 10 minutes on bike to the main street.

Beds were very hard, we have had much better beds in other vietnamese places. Also the bedlinnen could have been cleaner. The family is helpful but not as welcoming as we experienced in other places. Als food options very limited.
