Very warm and air conditioner did not work.

The grounds are lovely, and the staff were lovely and very helpful.
Our room was really nice and the bed was very comfortable.
There was no air conditioning in our room and it was so hot!
Also the breakfast was not worth £20 each! I've had better in a Premier Inn.
Wish we hadn't of had it and wasted our money, as we didn't end up eating much of it.

Location, nice hotel, nice facilities.
Shower in room was awful! For 4 star and £275 for 1 night, the shower was pathetic. Hardly any water pressure/flow. Reported it, they said 'oh, it must have been during a time when others were showering'. Checked later that night, and the following morning when most were at breakfast - no change. Better to use the shower in the pool changing rooms although in the men's, the drains were blocked! Also, received a call (voicemail) after paying Booking.com that if I cancelled and booked directly, we could get breakfast included in the price. A bit late given I booked 10 days before.

great location right near Brockenhurst which is central for everything. Loved the extended patio to enjoy a drink on a sunny day. cocktails are fabulous kudos to Maria and Zara on reception who went over and above.
room 4 can be noisy so ask them to switch off the pool
and kitchen fans at night. no bath here which suited us but probably not a family with young children. the kitchen gets overwhelmed quickly when it’s busy - starters to mains in Beresford restaurant took 70 minutes to come. we were busy chatting but I think this is too long for the status of eatery the hotel pitches.

Amazing location, outside and lobby were nice.
No view, dirty toilet, dusty smelly room we had to air out, unclean water glasses, no art and very plain room, broken uncomfortable bed, torn bed linens.

wasn’t clean was a hair in the shower, called reception they said they would send someone up which they did not. scuff marks on walls and bed was torn room hadn’t been hoovered. Had an invoice placed in our room for wine we hadn’t ordered or drunk. for £275 for the night without breakfast I would’ve expected a lot more.

Told Jacuzzi was going to be ready in 45 minutes was off for the whole day so abit dissapointed. Garden is small had no tennis court or archery.

Location is great and the building is beautiful, great for dog owners looking to explore the New Forest
The rooms are very dated, appliances old, shower old and leaks, towels not great, decoration poor - the price is way too much for the condition of the rooms, really poor value for money - the inside really doesn’t match the outside in terms of quality!

Staff were helpful, the position of the hotel is really good
First, it is entirely unsuited to invalid customers (unbelievably, only one single marked parking place for invalids!) The step up to the bathroom from the bedroom was very high (and just asking for accidents), the shower over the bath was not accessible for invalids, and the size of the room for the price was poor, albeit comfortable and clean. In short, the hotel was ‘tired’ in our opinion

Nothing outstanding.
Standard room was very small, no air conditioning, the higher you went in the building the hotter it got. Cold water in the bathroom was a trickle. I became ill after booking and would have liked to have cancelled or rescheduled, but emphatically was told this was not possible. Dining was casual as being able to eat in the lounge area, this would have been nice except for a barking dog. I was removed to the restaurant, I rather the dog was removed.

Room was adequate, dinner was nice but expensive. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice.
Staff didn't explain what breakfast options were there. Could only see the cold buffet but hot buffet was in another room, had to ask to find out!

bathrooms are dated, kind front of house staff. television remote didn’t work so no TV.
Restaurant staff were not well trained - attention to detail missing and a lack of experience showed - both at dinner and at breakfast. Breakfast was more stressful than needed to be - took ages to get noticed and then staff seemed upset when we sedated ourselves,
Not all negative - the kitchen at the fine dining was great and food was top quality - clearly a great chef and team working hard!

We didn't have breakfast or use the spa facilities and spent most of our evening in Lyndhurst. The place and location was nice and the staff were fantastic. I asked for a cocktail that wasn't on the menu and was accommodated no problem. My experience outside of the hotel room was really lovely.
Our room (19) was far too warm to the point where we couldn't sleep. Even the open window offered no relief. There was a fan provided, but when switched on the constant breeze across your bare skin and the sound was about as discreet as a jet engine, so for us it was irrelevant how nice the hotel was on the whole as we had primarily booked in there, to get a good night's rest and we was unable to do that.

Surprised that breakfast was not included in the price. Lots of seating but all close together and comfortable seats only for up to 4 people.
