Nothing!

Smelly, greasy, dirty, I’ll-equipped - an absolute disgrace! Poor access up a flight of 36 steps. Dirty bathroom and bed linen. hardly any plates, glasses, cups or cutlery. REFUND DEMANDED BOOKING.COM SHOULD NEVER HAVE LISTED THIS PROPERTY!

Liked the view and proximity to the shops and restaurant and beaches

manager was not available during business hours. no water bottle no toilet kit lights were too dim pillows were bad broken fixtures in the bathroom rooftop ( pool was cold and uncleaned ) i rented the place because booking.com showed rating of 4, i would give it a rating 2.5 they need to bring up the service levels, it was clean though ... more like a dormitory. the photos are so misleading

We found the location very good for visiting the local area via public transport as the bus stops were just a short walk from the accommodation. There were some shops nearby where we could buy everyday items as required. Good local restaurants were also within walking distance. Mr Fowler was very helpful and pleasant during our stay and made himself available 24/7 . We thought the beach at Mont Choisy was fantastic.

We had problems with the washing machine. The spinning option didn't appear to be working. A better machine would be an asset . The fridge in the room was suitable for storing food after it was cleaned on day 1 but the design of the kitchen only allowed for a very small internal ice box. A freezer being made available in the building for storing the likes of Ice cream would be an asset. Some of the bed sheets and towels are getting a bit tired. We took our own, so also used them as required. None of the issues would stop us wanting to stay again.

The accommodation is located in a pretty bay about 2km south of Grand Baie. It is close to good restaurants and grocery stores and the area has a relaxed atmosphere. The verandah is wonderful.

The lighting in the room was abysmal and there were no bedside lamps - one could hardly read a book at night. This issue has been raised in other reviews but has not been addressed. The kitchen equipment e.g. microwave, kettle and cupboards could have been cleaner and the dish towels and pots and pans had seen better days. I had approached them to reschedule my booking as I could not do so on bookings.com without loosing my payments and they were not helpful in this regard.

Too many stairs to climb. Apartment is small and nothing like the pictures. It is basic to say the least. Lacked basic utensils.out dated and vintage. Requested owner to consider releasing me from contract as the stairs were a real problem for me due to my medical condition. Owner refused my request. Stayed for 1 night and left the next morning.

No breakfast included not even a bit of milk left in the fridge for our use.

Cleanliness, the drawer next to bed had empty condom packets and the sheets were stained and dirty, bath mat dirty, shower not been cleaned in ages. Mirrors dirty. Towels stiff and hard. Pillows were terrible, dirty pillow cases on them. Toilet was dirty. No hair dryer in room. Noisy barking dogs over the road, barking all day and night. We couldnt use the safe as nobody knew the combination to open it.

The host was so welcoming, he made it feel like home. For any help, always there. The view from the rooftop was stunning!

location was good. Rooftop pool awesome with an awesome view. Mr Fowler, a very decent and helpful guy.

cleanliness of the shower glass and bathroom. Fridge was smelling a bit due to no usage due to the covid19. i fully understand the hotel running on minimal staff but surely the pillows and sheets must be cleaned and checked prior to guest arrival.

Rude Management, we were booked in for 2 people and had advised the lobby keeper that we will have guests over, ofcourse they would not be staying but popping in for sundowners. A while later after our guests had arrived we received an abrupt rude call saying that the guests need to leave immediately as no visitors are allowed. The booking.com confirmation does not say anywhere that visitors are not allowed and we had advised the front desk, and received no instruction that visitors were not allowed. Safe to say we left with a bitter feeling on new years eve. The views from the room are standard, much better elsewhere in the vicinity for the same price, with a much more courteous service. Quite disgusted with the way we were treated.
