Fantastic breakfast. My husband had the platter of Welsh cheeses and cold meats. Huge portion and delicious varieties.
6.0
It was a lovely old property with lots of character and pleasant staff.
It was a good base location for our trip.
The chocolate trio dessert - wow!
Room was too hot.
Room was noisy, hotel faces high street so front rooms are exposed to lots of noise. Late night noise and very early morning noise.
Shower was poor, too hot and poor pressure.
Food was too fancy for our needs. None of the evening starters were that great for a normal meal.
Chambermaid walking into our room while we were both still asleep, waking me up.
The town clock was very close and its chimes were loud enough to wake me.

It’s history in itself and all of North Wales, including one of the powerful families. Properties such as this must continue to thrive so need our support. The atmosphere is of its time, the staff are all superb and welcoming and helpful. The location in town and for touring is spot on. Food is excellent. Nothing to fault.
A few knocks and grazes on the building but that is history and character.

The history behind the hotel was interesting
Broken tiles in bathroom, looks very run down and in need of repairs. Holes in ceiling in hall way, utility rooms with doors that don't close full of what looked like old bedding.

It's a lovely old hotel and the breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and delicious cooked food too. When we arrived the only staff seemed stressed. When we return later it was very full of dinners and we couldn't a drink as there were no bar staff. We went to a local pub after waiting 15mins. The bed was far too small and our friends who also stayed had the same problem, so none of us slept well.
The beds are too small and the evening staff were very overstretched.

The ground floor of this old hotel is mostly used for the popular restaurant that serves food of a very high standard. The staff and food exceeded my expectations. There is a small bar and a lot of space.
The room was old, tired and not particularly clean. The outflow from the kitchen extractors is directly in front of the window making it impossible to open it during service without steam etc entering the room.
The mattress was the cheapest possible, floor boards creaky and paint/tiles in need of love. It was a very quiet hotel although this is highly dependant on guests in the surrounding rooms.

The rooms are nice and clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and it's well priced. They also have a shed outside where you can store your motorbikes 🏍
The bed was really hard and uncomfortable

Everything looking very very tired - needs investment.

The service was slow - the room had an old smell - bathroom sink was cracked and their was repaired holes in the bath

TV had no reception at all and a lot of noise from upstairs.

Great treat from the hosts

Good car parking, Room ready when I arrived at about 14.30. Classy food but very salty. Comfortable bed. Staff helpful
Room's state of decoration was very poor with paint splashed all over the place. Rather customised built in furniture was badly constructed and the door catches did not work, leaving the doors swinging about. Pictures, although quite pleasant were casually mounted. The curtains were horrific and in no way matched or complemented the decor. No desk light and poor WiFi

Breakfast was good and staff v pleasant,
The room was spacious and comfortable, good size bathroom.
Generally a bit shabby.
Wifi problem at checkout,was resolved.
On our last visit,we had to get cash from ATM to pay the bill;a cheque should have been acceptable
No terrestrial tv channels!

I did’t like anything
Dated hotel, food wasn’t great , floor was squeaking inside and above the room .
Room by the main road too noisy .
Staff very slow at the restaurant, however friendly was the guy at reception.

A clearly loved building with many great features felt more like an old home of a slightly eccentric but very loved uncle - the curated wines from Italy were excellent especially the Malbec
Nothing

Perfect food, good price too. I would say the seats are uncomfortable and the building needs repair work and maintanence. Beds lovely, shower in room 38 was not very good. But overall more than acceptable
Comfier seats, updated showers.

Traditional inn with an excellent breakfast

Very nice hotel in the centre of the town, near the clock tower. It’s a little dated but the staff were great and has secure bike, cycle storage.
6.0
The friendliness of the staff.
Dinner - overcooked fish and undercooked vegetables.

Staff were fantastic, Private Car Parking, Value for Money
4.0
good location, nice to have open fires and stoves in the dinning area, breakfast was ok
Room was dark and bathroom stunk of drains. Hand wash bottles in the bathroom was empty and really slimy. in need of a refurb. Asked staff about taxis and they were fairly unhelpful. over priced for what it was and extra charge for early check in of £15 made it even worse
