There were several caged birds. It made me sad. Also, the walls are paperthin so we were kept awake by a very noisy family or by dogs.

The entire facility is spacious, each living quarters has their respective toilets, there is a main hall where you could sit and chill (or work). Simple food and beverages are provided. There are many animals to keep you company throughout your stay. If you need anything just ask Tony, he is very approachable.

Genuine backpackers’ spirit in this lovely guesthouse located at the door of the national park! Tony is of good advice and takes care of his guests. Was great meeting other travellers too, and to rent a bike for 2 RM in order to ride around.

This place is great. It's very well cared for and very well thought out. There is everything you could need and it has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. It's clean, comfortable, the showers are really nice (cold water, but good flow) the common area is great and there is free laundry and bikes for guests use. Highly recommend staying here

Very nice and welcoming host. Extremely large, pretty living room are with lots of comfortable seats and hammocks. Perfect to chill. Lots of local food stands within a 1min bicycle ride from the house.

Really enjoyed my time here, stayed for 8 nights and I was sad to leave. By far the best hostel I’ve stayed at in Malaysia so far and had a really homely vibe about the place. The communal area was perfect met some lovely people here and I’m really going to miss that green hammock! It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Tony is a wonderful host and even gave me a lift on my last day to the bus stop so I didn’t have to struggle with my bags which I really appreciated. Thank you for such a relaxing stay. Would recommend to anyone.

Very basic accommodation with a shared common area. The laundry machine can be used for free. A water refilling station is available. The national park is close by (walking distance). A nice beach and other sightseeing attractions are available in walking or biking distance. Bicycles can be rent for 2 RM / day. Since it is quite hot in the rooms, we recommend booking a room with AC.

Unfortunately, the whole site is a bit run down. The shared facilities including shared bathrooms and kitchen are very dirty and are not cleaned regularly. Also, the trash cans should be emptied more often. The rooms are very, very basic. The bed is very hard. No real blanket was offered - just a piece of textile. During the nights, the owner's dogs were very loud. We had better accomodations for the same price. We don't recommend this accomodation.

Wir haben die 2 Nächte die wir bei Tony verbracht haben sehr genossen. Wir konnten Fahrräder ausleihen was echt super war. Der Freizeitpark Escape ist nicht weit weg und ist definitiv einen Besuch wert! Die Lage des Guesthouse ist sehr ruhig und gut um zu entspannen. wir lernten einige Leute kennen, da es einen Aufenthaltsraum gibt wo man sich gut austauschen kann. Mit dem Fahrrad erreicht man einfach und schnell viele Steetfood stände wo es richtig gutes und billiges Essen gibt. Tony ist super freundlich und gibt einen stehts Tipps. Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen

Wenn es regnet dan hört man den Regen in der Nacht ziemlich laut auf die Dächer fallen. Wer sich also schwer tut einzuschlafen sollte soch Ohropax mitnehmen. Die Decken sind etwas klein und dünn aber als wir dort waren war es ziemlich heiß also passte es.

A fantastic place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Georgetown.Tony and Karen were very welcoming hosts giving us a good rundown of the property and surrounding area.We had an A/C room but I'm sure a fan cooled room would be adequate due to the cooler temperature.We are in our 70s and it took us back to our backpacking days of the 1990s.Great to sit around and chat with others from different countries while having an ice cold beer,which I might add is very cheap!!Fresh seasonal fruit was always available for free.Well maintained push bikes are available to hire for next to nothing.We also appreciated the lift to catch our bus back to Georgetown. You won't regret choosing to stay here!!Thanks for a very pleasant stay!!

És un lloc molt tranquil. Tenen bicicletes que pots utilitzar sempre que vulguis. El personal és molt atent i agradable. El Tony és una gran persona. Es va oferir a portar-nos a l’estació de busos el nostre últim dia. Les instal.lacions estan bé i tenen cuina i rentadora que també pots utilizar gratis. Ho recomanem 100%.

L’únic inconvenient és que no hi ha aigua calenta a la dutxa, tot i que amb la calor que fa tampoc és necessària. Per la resta tot genial.

Gemütliche Atmosphäre, abseits von allem Trubel. Man sieht auch etwas die andere Seite des Landes und nicht nur den Tourismus.

Die Lage ist ungünstig. Man hat lange nach Georgetown, ist aber direkt am Nationalpark. Jedoch muss man für den 50MYR Eintritt zahlen… Die Strände rund um Teluk Bahang sind euch nicht die schönsten.

En Tony i la seva filla ens han tractat molt bé. És un lloc envoltat de natura perfecte per desconnectar i relaxar-se. Amb bici pots arribar fàcilment al Parc Nacional i al centre.També hi ha cuina si la volts aprofitar. Molt recomenable:)

Excellent peaceful natural location surrounded by jungle!. Close to public bus to Georgetown Very spacious lounge area with nature views!. The host Tony was very kind and helpful with local knowledge and fresh fruit from his orchids and free bikes to explore the area!

The mattress was a bit hard

I like the environment around the room.. natural breeze. This is the concept not for modern building. Please expect more on natural scene. The host super polite. I came 3 times already.

Host is very friendly. Very comfortable, clean and natrual environment. They have a place to cook, bicycles to use, big living hall and unlimited rambutan to eat. Really enjoyed spend a time on there.

We absolutely loved our stay at Tony’s guest house. Tony is such a kind and generous host. We loved being out in a more quiet part of Penang, it was beautiful. We really appreciated the fresh fruit and use of bikes.

Clean and quiet room with good fan and comfortable sheets. Tony and the staff tranquilly maintain the shared areas in excellent condition, and while we were there (for a week) they even provided free fresh fruits from the garden daily. Laundry is easy, and the free bikes are simple but well maintained. The bikes are a major boon for exploring the region, from the docks to the dam, the national park to the forest park, and all the restaurants and hawker stalls.

This is not a problem with the property, it is more with the season. We came in the middle of hot monsoon, and some days were really hot. In hindsight, changing to an aircon room would was an option we could have taken on one or two of the hottest days.

We had a great time staying at Tony's Guesthouse at Teluk Bahang. We loved the location and the neighbourhood - the local people and the local food were great. We loved the free bikes provided by the guesthouse and couldn't get enough of bike-riding around. We stayed just for two nights to go to the Escape park which was super convenient, as well as the local forestry park with great natural swimming set up. Tony was very helpful with helping us with transport and driving us part of the way to our next place, as there was a landslide and road closure which complicated our plans. Overall we loved our stay here and enjoyed the authentic local Malaysian lifestyle.
