De ligging is geweldig, het uitzicht adembenemend.

Amazing beautiful view. Great pool. Great service. Comfy bed and great staff. Great dinners. Couldn’t of asked for anything more. This way maybe the best hotel I’ve ever been to.

Breakfast was fine, but nothing hot was offered. Absolutely loved the location and view. I’m sure the pool would be very wonderful when the weather is nicer.
Parking situation was not ideal, but given the location, understandable. And, once you become aware of the surroundings, really not that difficult.

We stayed here for two nights and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Super cosy place with amazing views over the river and you can watch the view from the pool as well.
Everyone there are friendly and the family style dinner was a cute concept.
Breakfast was quite simple but sufficient!
Our room was very clean and cosy!
Perfect place for relaxation and visiting wineries.
We didn’t have a car with us, but it was very easy to travel around to the wineries and train station with a taxi (around 10e) and the staff will help you book the taxi :)

We loved the location and the relaxed vibe. The outside area and pool are lovely and our room was great. The family dinner with the other guests was wonderful — we met a great group of people and had a a fabulous time.
We had a bit of a challenge finding the hotel. Additional signage and precise instructions, including which road to take up the hill, would have assisted.

The setting ,staff,and owner Bernardo we beyond compare .The only regret was leaving this 6star experience !We will be back and would not consider any other property.

Lovely hosts, fantastic place to relax with awesome views of the river. Beautiful breakfast and evening meal with the company of the other guests. You can order lovely salads or cheese boards throughout the day, with a glass of wine or beer. Swim in the pool or just relax looking out to the view.

Everything was beyond expectations. Quiet, beautiful room, lovely food, fantastic views and the staff could not do enough to help. They went far beyond what you might expect.

Very friendly staff. Amazing view. Room is very cozy and clean. I like having dinner and breakfast with other guests so that we can meet people from different countries. Dinner is really delicious! Although it could be a little bit difficult to get there if you do not have/rent a car, it's easy to book a taxi from Pinhão station (10 euros each trip).
Would be better if there's a desk in the room. Dinner is a little bit overpriced but it's nice to try traditional Portuguese dishes. Maybe more warm options in breakfast (I like the breakfast. Fruits are fresh and delicious).

The house is absolutely beautiful with the most Amazing view over the Douro River. It is an extremely well renovated house, charming and noble at the same Time. Micaela is the best Host you could think of and the pool area is a dream, you swim while overlooking the river, the vinyeards and Pinhao. The perfect stay when you look for beauty.

What a beautiful stay! You don’t even realize the magnitude of the view until you step in the back. The hostess was warm, helpful and friendly. After a whole day of wine tasting we couldn’t wait to get back and relax on the grounds.

This location is incredible! The view is everything and the pool was wonderful. We really enjoying the breakfast, the staff was lovely and accommodating for all requests.
I wish we had known more about booking dinner at the hotel, there are limited dining options in the village and nearby towns but it seems you have to book your dinners at the hotel in advance due to limited capacity.

The hotel was on a hill and had a beautiful view of the valley and river. There was a great pool. Meals were taken with other travelers. It was fun to chat with people from around the world.
Since the hotel was so far up the hill it made walking into town quite difficult. Cabs were available however.

Extraordinary location and view. Excellent terrace and swimming pool. The family-style dining was very enjoyable. Very good walking in the immediate vicinity. Welcoming drink.
Maybe a kettle to make tea repeatedly at all hours, as Brits like to do.

My mother and I stayed here for four days in September and absolutely loved it. The views were divine, and we thoroughly enjoyed wandering around the vineyards and swimming in the pool. Margarida and her staff were warm, professional, and extremely helpful in everything from recommending activities to helping us park. A true pleasure, and a wonderful place in the Douro to be situation for a few days.
The rooms are a bit simple for the price, but that's fine because you'll want to spend every second of your time outside marveling at the view.
Caution with the GPS: The property is perched quite high, but the road is easy. If Google Maps leads you to a difficult, rocky road, turn around and drive until it finds you another route. (Not the property's fault obviously, but good to know).

The view is great and the pool is lovely as well
The place is quite expensive for the services it offers. No fridge in the room, WiFi never worked during our 5 day stay, nor other facilities like a television. Breakfast is very basic (just bread with cheese or meat and a dry pastry and minimal amount of thinly sliced fruit). The house is old so it is not on common to hear your neighbors or noises from upstairs.
