In the centre of Clonakilty. Great breakfast. The room was very comfortable and all told, the stay was good value for money. The place has a vibe between a hotel and B&B that is pleasant and the restaurant in the Sugan pub is very good also.
Not much really. Don't expect too much in the way of a reception but I expect if you needed something, they would help you in the adjoining pub.

Fab accomodation to stay! Spotless clean....very classy room with character! Victorian style ...beautifully decorated, 10 out of 10.
Then...breakfast in the morning was a real treat...the waiter was funny with all the descriptions as he was serving our food...which was delicious....didnt want to leave...hope to be back 😃

Our room was lovely: light and spacious, well equipped, immaculately clean with a luxurious ensuite and a very comfortable bed. The guest house is tastefully decorated and centrally located, with easy parking in the nearby quiet streets. In fact we could look down onto our car from our room. We enjoyed our meal in the adjoining restaurant and its pleasant ambience. We would definitely recommend booking since it was very popular.

Everything, perfect location, very clean and comfortable. Nice touch with coffee machine. modern vibe in old building.
soap in shower dispenser was empty but only a minute thing in an overall lovely stay.

Great location, in walking distance to everything. Free street parking. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent quality

It is more of a hotel than a bed-and-breakfast, although breakfast was included. The food was good. It’s a bar and restaurant downstairs that seems to have a great lunch and dinners too, although we didn’t get a chance to try them.
It was older I guess we are in Ireland so that is to be expected. A little dusty but not dirty. The guy who ran the place seemed to be there 24/7 and warmed up to us by the time we left.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, easy location and very comfortable. Easy parking around the hotel. Enjoyed the restaurant and the food was very good. Great pub. Very easy to drive to Cork to visit some of the town highlights.
Maybe staff could be a bit more knowledgeable about where to have dinner in the town - the restaurant at the hotel gets busy and if one misses a booking - good to know where the next best restaurant is in town in order to enjoy the local food and drink.

We had a wonderful one night stay at An tSugan. The building was full of character and history which was something I wasn't aware of at the time of booking but which definitely added to our experience there. The room we had was clean, fresh and nicely decorated in a modern style but still suited the building. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was one of the best I have had in a long time. Was really delighted that we chose to stay here over a larger hotel as it all had such an intimate feel to it. It was also a short walk to local pubs with music so is an ideal location if you want to explore central Clonakilty on foot. Highly recommended and would happily stay here again!
