Unser neu gebautes Haus liegt direkt am Lake Shore Drive. Das Haus wurde gerade im Juli 2019 fertiggestellt.
Es ist weniger als 0, 1 Meile zu Fuß von unserer Haustür zum Strand. Wir haben einfachen und schnellen Zugang zum Sheridan Beach, dem schönsten Strand der Gegend!
Das Haus ist offen angelegt - die Küche öffnet sich zum Wohn- / Esszimmer. Das Haus verfügt über 7 Schlafzimmer, 4 Bäder und einen komplett ausgebauten Keller.
Draußen gibt es ein riesiges Vorderdeck mit Grill, und hinten befindet sich eine Vorhalle, die mit einem Deck mit eingebautem Whirlpool verbunden ist. Im Hinterhof ist eine Feuerstelle in die bewaldete Sanddüne eingebaut.

We loved staying here - 1 block from the beach, 1/2 mile to splash pad and zoo, & a mile to restaurants. We walked every where! So many beds to choose from and kitchen was large enough for everyone to sit. Quiet and peaceful in the evenings.

Location was amazing, but no correspondence with the owner after phone calls and messaging. Home was not very clean and they did not provide any dish or hand soap. We thought the inside would be nicer since it said it was brand new.

There are pros and cons to this house. PROS-huge, spacious house. 4 full bathrooms. Great outdoor space. Excellent location for the beach and actives near the harbor of Michigan City. CONS-while surface clean, it is not a clean house. The walls and ceilings have stains. The bathrooms smell dirty and one has mold on the ceiling. The shower curtains are really gross. There are broken things everywhere-the lamp on ceiling in master is sharp shard of glass, ripped drywall in closet, oven door is falling apart, knobs missing from stove, I could go on. I have bruises on my hips from sleeping on the master bed. That’s how hard it was.
Lastly, I do t understand why providing hand soap and toilet paper is too much when the guest is paying $900 per night. It just seems like it should be a given.

Pros: 8 adults and 7 kids stayed here for 4 nights and we had tons of space. Layout of the house is nice... we loved the front deck and back patio. Has a very short, easy walk to the beach. Host was very responsive when I messaged him about some issues with the house.
Cons: Could use some maintenance with the bathrooms and some of the appliances, but none of those things were deal breakers. Bring extra towels if you have a big group.

Good for a large group, needs general upkeep. A bit dirty and some things broken like rack in dishwasher, dishwasher handle, a dining room chair, slider screen, moldy freezer in the basement etc. Could have used more towels and some general supplies like Kleenex, large garbage bags etc.. A little fixing up and this could be a great place.

This place was AMAZING. The house was pristine and accommodated our 10 adults and 7 kids very easily! . The house was spacious and open and had plenty of space on 3 levels with a great kitchen and atmosphere. We relaxed on the screen porch quite a bit and took advantage of the hot tub in the evenings. The location was perfect for us, a 1-2 minute walk to the beach. Colin was extremely quick to respond with any questions. This place is worth the money! I 100% recommend.

My children and grandchildren had a marvelous time here. The house is laid out beautifully. There were 20 of us and no one ever felt crowded, plenty of space to spread out and have your own space. Will definitely rent again.

This is NOT a “newly built” home. The description is false or hasn’t been changed in years. The home was filthy and in a terrible state of disrepair. Broken cabinets, broken furniture, ripped screen door, broken bathroom fixtures and light fixtures. Dirty blankets and sheets on the bed. Dirty curtains. Almost every wall was dirty. Literally found dead bugs smashed on the wall. Mold on the shower curtains and in the basement bathroom. Shower head hanging off the wall upstairs. Rusty curtain rods. Ant infestation in the kitchen. Moldy coffee grounds in the coffee pot. Mildew on patio furniture. Sand in the freezer! The list goes on and on and on. And I sent numerous messages to the host over several days and did not get a single response to any of them. It was a horrible experience. I could never suggest that anyone stay there until the house receives significant attention both by way of repairs and general cleanliness. The only upside was the proximity to the beach.

Our family of 16: 14 adults and 2 kiddos enjoyed our 4 night stay. Great access to the beach, host was quick and helpful in response. Place was clean, because it is a beach home you definitely deal with sand, not an issue just an FYI.

My friend and I have been taking our kids to michigan city and the dunes for the past 4 years. It’s a girl and kiddos trip. This year we rented a house instead of doing our normal hotel.
The house was amazing- so big - the kids loved it! Had everything you need but I would say bring extra laundry detergent, paper plates and plastic silverware and extra trash bags.
Location was perfect for us. Steep driveway but I have 4 kids and a large suv so it was not a issue for me.
We will definitely be back!

The property was clean and had everything needed for our large party. Good amount of bedrooms, multiple large seating areas, and plenty of bathrooms. Never felt cramped. Would have been 5 stars, but the oven wasn’t working. I notified the host about the issue and received a lackluster response. We were only there for 2 days, so we were able to make due without the oven. If booking, I’d make sure this problem has been rectified.

This home was absolutely perfect for our group of 12! The home was clean, cozy, and we each had our own bed. The kitchen and living room layout were open, and we were able to relax and hang out easily. It was well-equipped with towels, dishes, and everything we needed for our stay.

Lots of room and fun fire pit in back. However, downstairs 2 bedrooms only had a deep window well for light and they were covered in dirt. Downstairs bathroom had mold. Master were either very hard very soft. There was jockeying to see who would get the better beds.
Owners were not accommodating.10 days after we booked we found we had a free place to stay. We were renting on weekdays. I offered to switch to the off season week days again for same price. Their calendar shows they have no weekdays in the offseason rented except for Xmas week. I had a rental for 20 years on same street and it is hard to rent week days. They would not change the dates. It would have represented very little risk to them and a big help to us!

I want to start by saying Colin is amazing! He messaged me with all the rules in the beginning of the week before my stay. When we got there, the poor cleaning ladies were still cleaning up the house from the people before us. We didn’t mind at all. We finally got into the house 30 mins late and it was spotless. The house is huge and plenty of room for everyone in party to stay. My husband and I rented the place for my bridal party and us. The basement has two bedrooms and a bath with a huge living area. One private bed and one with the bunk beds. When you go to the main level you have one private room and bath with the kitchen and huge dining and living room. The walk out balcony overlooks the street and you are walking distance to the beach. The upstairs has four bedrooms (one master suit, two private bedrooms and one with two large beds) and a bathroom. This place is huge and very roomy! I would stay here over and over. The hot tube was amazing and helped me recover from my night of dancing lol. We had a fire in the fire pit every night. The neighbors were quite.
I will say the drive way is very steep so if you have elderly people staying this might not be the place you want. Colin was amazing with recommendations on where to park since we had so many cars with us. He always answered my text immediately or in a very timely manner. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Great property for large group
This was a great property for a large group. Plenty of areas to gather together or find a place to sit by yourself for a while. Very close and easily accessible to the beach. Great kitchen to cook in and quick and helpful responses from the owner when needed. We will definitely be looking to stay again the next time we are in the area!

Cons: Be aware, it is a steep driveway and parking can be difficult. Something MUST be done about the "mattress"in the master bedroom! It's not useable. Actually, it's a boxspring. It looks like someone absconded with the mattress! Seriously! Trash pickup is on Monday and we came on Wednesday with full trash cans.already. We bought heavy duty trash bags and set them out by the cans. I hope they picked them up!

This property is in a great location. There is just a short walk to the beach. There are beach chairs available to take to the beach. The house was a nice size for our stay. However, if you plan to do any cooking, please know that the kitchen is not fully equipped with basic pots, pans, and cooking utensils. We couldn't get the grill to work, even after we purchased a refill for the propane tank. The grill was pretty dirty anyway.

Mini Vaca with the WHOLE FAM!
Nice and spacious which is exactly what we were looking for. Each family was able to have their own bedroom which was a must for our multi-family get together. Proximity to the beach was nice a short couple of block walk and you were there.
When we visit again we will try to check in Monday - Thursday. The road in front of the house was very busy on the weekend and tight manuvering for larger vehicles. Also, I would not recommend this property for any guest that needs assistance with walking or getting around. The driveway is very steep.
Depending on the number of guest you are staying with be sure to bring along extras of items like the check-in instructions state. TP, Paper Towel, Trash bags, Towels.
Cool place would definitely recommend this to others and our group would definitely stay here again.

Great for large family trip!
Property was a fantastic fit for our large extended family! Large kitchen and gathering spaces (living room, front porch, screen porch, fire pit) and an easy two block walk down to the beach access across the dunes.

Excellent Accommodations for a Large Group
Our team spent 2 days here to do some teambuilding. Perfect place to walk to the beach, spacious enough for us to do our teambuilding activities inside when it rained, great fire pit out back at night for smores and conversation. The kitchen was great and there were even decent knives! There could be some sturdier kitchen utensils, but we came prepared with our own because this is not our first trip! Beds were pretty comfortable, the master upstairs is QUITE firm! Plenty of bathroom space with lots of towels and decent water pressure. The driveway is quite a bit steeper than the pictures would lend one to believe but we made it work and got in a bonus for our legs! Prior to our arrival the host was ultra communicative and responsive. There was an issue with the state of the hot tub upon our arrival and it would have been ideal for him to have continued that awesome response time after we arrived so we could have used the hot tub during our stay. That being said, we would highly recommend this house!!

Great Beach Stay
We a different house from this owner a few years ago and both times we had a great experience. The house was clean and well kept and there was room enough for our three generations of family. The beach is close and not at all crowded while we were there. The kids are already asking when can they go back.

Perfect Location & Great Space
This house worked great for our large group of 10 adults and 6 kids. An easy walk to the beach. We likely could have comfortably stayed with a few more people too. Plenty of sleeping options. The kitchen has a good amount of plate & flat ware but lacked oven kits, scissors, a working can opener and pans. Be sure to bring extra kitchen towels and paper products if needed. The owner was very responsive and we enjoyed our stay- would definitely stay again!
