Spacious, clean and centrally located. Huge place by Japanese standards. Accommodation was well equipped and Ava was very attentive

The accommodation was a little bit hard to find. There’s no signs and had to rely on photos to make sure that we had the correct place. No laundry facility on premises. The stairs are small and steep, thankful that the front door locks so we didn’t have to carry luggage upstairs

Best value we could find in the area

It was the most unpleasant stay in Japan and I would recommend traveler to find a hotel as you will be charged money in a unfair way as they will claim for your transportation fee, marks found on wall and lost key etc. How do they charge you extra? 1) We lost the door key on the 2nd day, the host charged us 2500yen for travel of key, and extra 2000yen for the new key. In Furano, 2000yen can already be a decent dinner for two people. We have no choice but have to pay 4500yen on spot, we waited the "Manager" for 45 mins just to open the door. 2) We found the original key next day early morning and we returned both keys to host. They promised to refund the key cost of 2000yen but never did. It is clearly a dishonest act. 3) We kept the place very tidy and clean before checkout, and we made sure all dishes cleaned and recycling sorted and done. However, after we have left, they claimed there are 5 small red dots on the wall which made by us. WE DIDN'T. I ask for the original photo of wall, they never provided but said the cleaner's eyes are the evidence. How ridiculous. 4) The host astonishingly told us we require to pay 8,000 yen extra for WALL REPAIR. Poor facilities? 1) The washroom has been oddly designed without any air heating system, it is extremely cold when you bath. You can also see the drainage systems were not properly designed in an area next to the kitchen. 2) As a traveler, you could tell the property is pretty unsafe as there is only one fragile door in wood with a loose lock of where you stay. You need couple time of trying just to lock or unlock your door. We stayed 8 nights in Furano, 5 at hotels and 3 at here. You will regret for booking here that ruin your trip. You won't save any money but will pay much more.

I totally enjoyed my stay at Yukiyama Chalet. The place has everything independent travellers could possibly want and when you compare it against other places for price, whilst it is not brand new, it has had upgrades and is very good value for money!

Location is quite good. Many places within a 15 min drive. Some scenery can also be enjoyed, if you look out from the windows. The bed was comfortable. Kitchen was quite big and new. Communication was efficient.

The shower should have been cleaner. There was mold that could have been cleaned with a little effort. Besides that, the house is old and it shows, but the price was relatively low so there is no need for me to complain.

The property was cozy and had a nice set up for longer stays.

A few small hand towels would be helpful.

Everything! The staff were more than helpful, they helped us immensely, from great restaurant recommendations to point us in the right directions to amazing Ski areas! Can’t wait for next year! Convenient location, quick walk to lifts, restaurants, bars and of coarse 7/11!!
