A lovely comfortable cottage in a quiet location. Everything was perfect from the start of our visit to the end. We arrived to find some welcoming flowers, biscuits, and milk in the fridge. There was enough tea, coffee, and dishwasher tablets for our weekend stay. The beds were comfy, and we had a relaxing weekend.

Nothing we didn't like, but I would say that the cottage wouldn't be ideal for someone with mobility problems as there are some steps between the rooms.

Perfect cottage in beautiful countryside

Very friendly and welcoming host. Perfect cottage for a weekend getaway with friends. Great facilities and plenty of space for us to spread out. Will hopefully be back one day when it’s warmer to try out the pool :)

Huge space, lots of rooms, very thoughtful gestures, Very family friendly with a cot, high chair and children's cutlery all provided without having to ask.

The lights were a little dim when first turned on (energy saving), but brightened over time.

Cottage is in a lovely location. Three of the five bedrooms are doubles, so ideal for 5 adults to sleep comfortably. The other bedrooms are singles and are downstairs. Plenty of room to relax in the lounge. The open fire was an added bonus on a very cold/frosty weekend stay; The host supplied plenty of logs to keep the fire going. Hot water bottles were a lovely idea, although we did leave heating going overnight as a bitterly cold weekend. Beautiful countryside views from the cottage. Kitchen was big and had everything we needed, lots of glasses and mugs. There is a separate dining room with open doors that lead to the garden (would be lovely in summer months) and a very large table, which would accommodate 8+ adults. Everywhere was clean. We walked to a local pub (The Brewers Arms - Food was amazing), which took just over an hour going, as we walked the old railway path, but only about 30mins coming home across country. Check out was 10am, but host very kindly let us extend this due to heavy frost

Room above kitchen had mould on wall near stairs and smelt a bit musky. Not a great shower in the upstairs bathroom in main part of the house. Lots of logs, but lacked fire starters or newspaper to get fire going.

Everything, it was fabulous

We house was very well equipped with every utensil you could ever need. The furnishing was very comfortable and all the bedrooms were well thought through. The pool was very welcome especially as it was quite hot during our stay. The garden was beautiful with plenty of shade if you wanted.

There’s wasn’t anything not to like. The location was a little out of the way but once we had found it we got used to the journey.
