they overcharged for a lot of things. failed to clean the room while we were gone and couldn’t get the hot tub to actually be hot. it was freezing cold.

The staff at Belvedere hotel was great and the breakfast offered each morning was also very good! The hotel is in a great location, short walk into town with a lot to do. Our room was rather small but very clean and well maintained, overall we enjoyed our stay here very much!

Worst experience in Mykonos When you enter the hotel it’s shocking to see the Owner who’s is loud, creates a mess in the hall and doesn’t know neither how to behave nor how to treat customers. It’s not what you expect when you are having a vacation in an expensive 5 star hotel. I want to stress that it’s loud and messy to the extent that is above any normality. the hotel is very dirty especially WC on the ground floor was disgusting and stinky. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values cleanness and comfort.

Noting was good about this place

The hotel facilities are well-kept and beautiful, except for the gym which is in a cellar with completely outdated and rusty equipment. Be aware that breakfast and dinner are right by the poolside; from 6 p.m. (which is usually when people would return from the beach and use the pool), the pool is closed and hotel staff sets up dinner tables. We were actually asked not to use the pool when we wanted to go for a swim at 6.30 p.m. Quite unbelievable!

We booked an ocean view superior room in the Belvedere. The ocean view turned out to be a view of a wall, lateral to our (tiny) balcony was another balcony belonging to the room adjacent to ours, and behind this other balcony we could actually see the ocean. Not what we expected when we booked the room for EUR 860 per night (more than twice of an ocean view suite with a huge terrace and sunbeds at the Rochari). When we pointed this out, the hotel was very non-chalant about it and did not offer us an alternative. In the rooms (which are a bit outdated), do not expect a complimentary bottle of water, or flowers, or paper and pen. Or an ash tray, in case you are a smoker. There is not much attention to detail: A box of tissues sits on the night table, without cover, like it was bought in the supermarket. Same applies to the hand sanitizer on the breakfast table (every beach club and restaurant had cute solutions for this, except for the Belvedere). The weakest spot, however, is the service. Everyone in Greece is extremely service-oriented, and we were surprised that the Belvedere is an exception. The reception is not very forthcoming and we always - and I mean always - had to ask at least twice for anything we wanted. At breakfast, we never received our coffee order the way we requested it, although it was not very complicated (since it is a very small hotel, one could also expect the staff to remember a guest's preferences after a while). Valet parking: if you request the car in 10 minutes, expect to receive it in 30-40 minutes - it made us loose a beach club reservation on our first day. Gym: Every single day we had to ask for towels, sometimes twice because our first request was simply forgotten. Checkout: no one asked us how we liked our stay or wished us a safe trip (and we had definitely not been unfriendly , nor had we complained about anything except for the "ocean view" room).
