Habitación muy cómoda para familias pues eran dos habitaciones comunicadas con una sola entrada. La ubicación estupenda

The location was great: restaurants and the waterfront were within easy walking distance; easy access from the National Theatre train station; quiet, clean neighborhood. The decor in the rooms was delightful. The staff was SO pleasant, patient, friendly and helpful. (Can't say enough about the staff.) Complimentary coffee and water available in the "dining" area. I personally did not eat breakfast at the Guldsmeden but those in my party who did had positive comments.
The rooms themselves were a little small/tight requiring some mindfulness in setting up luggage for use. The Guldsmeden is NOT air-conditioned. It had good natural ventilation the days we were there, but the following week had the highest temps of the summer and I was thankful we were staying elsewhere.

The breakfast was really nice. They didn't have much for a cooked breakfast, but there was lots of other stuff that I really liked, like waffles and chia pudding.
The interior decor is really quirky and cool. I thought the hotel was cozy.
The room was tiny! Travelling with two big suitcases and one bag of skis left it almost impossible to move around the room. There was no place to actually lie a normal sized suitcase open, and it ended up on the floor, blocking the path past the bed.
I was also very negatively surprised at the fact that there were no hand towels and no floor towel in the bathroom. After a shower, the floor was wet as, there are only shower drapes so some water comes out, and there was no squigee or towel to wipe it up! Had to walk around with wet socks, or use the bath towel to dry it. Pretty unsanitary and annoying.

The room is very original with an eco-friendly theme to it.
The bed was spacious and very comfortable.
The breakfast (payed extra) is high quality and is very "eco" as well.
To go to the bathroom I had to exit the room... then it was needed a key to enter the room. Don't forget the key or you are in trouble !

A beautifully decorated boutique hotel. It felt safe for female solo travellers. The shampoo, soap and other toiletries in the room were very good quality and smelt lovely.

A welcome small hotel- lanterns and candles lighting the entrance, staff personable and helpful, decor tasteful (bamboo, soft wood, nice bedding, cool lamps, tasty breakfast).

- None of the staff members I had asked (3) knew how parking works around the hotel. It took me 5 minutes to read online & on a street meter. Despite the fact that parking is free around the hotel everyday between 20 and 9 and fully on Sundays, on Friday night they had recommended for 3 days a parking they said is 36 E / day and it was 43 E. Second day I went to the street. They had also said they have a voucher with a partner Parking but when I scanned the QR code it said the campaign was not valid … and they strongly recommend to not park on the streets 😐
- Elevator not working for all 3 days and have given me a room on 5th floor despite having booked ~1 month in advance
- Kind of uncomfortable to use the sink / very tight space
Overall, I’d say it is a good hotel to have a relaxing stay near city center, but does not leave up to the stars & respective price
