It was close to Susukino, the nightlife district of Sapporo. The closest train station is only about a 5-minute walk and Susukino is about a 15 minute walk. The breakfast is only 500 yen (though it's definitely a "get-what-you-pay-for" situation). The staff was friendly and check-in was quicker than most hotels I stay at. Other than the heat, the room was rather comfortable, but speaking of the heat...
The rooms were SO HOT. There are no air con units and you have limited control of the heat / air conditioning. In the "summer season", it stays in cool mode. In the "winter season" it stays in heat mode. I run very hot naturally and I traveled in April, so it was still in winter mode. Even though I turned the heat off, I could still feel residual heat floating in from the vents. I'm sure if I traveled in the middle of winter or the middle of summer, it would have been much more comfortable, but with limited control, April is probably one of the worst times to stay there.

The elevator was very violent. The breakfast wasn't the best.

Staff so friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was basic but extremely sufficient.
The bedrooms are mostly refurbished with some old features. The bathroom dated. But between both rooms exceptionally clean and everything worked just fine so this hasn't put me off in any way. Slippers and amenities available.
I believe there is free tea and coffee during the day.
Good location next to subway station.
Stayed one night during a very busy weekend so it was expensive for what I got. During a normal week or weekend I wouldn't be happy to pay as much.
Nothing else to comment really, it was great overall.

The price is reasonable.
the entrance of the hotel is icy and slippery, this may be caused by an unexpected accident to those people from other countries who are not used to a place with snow, but love to travel during winter season. hopefully it can be done somehow.

Amazing value for money! A reasonably sized, clean room, with a good breakfast. I've stayed in worse rooms for more money in the past.
It was a bit far away from the city centre, although the nearby park was quite nice to walk around. The bed was a little hard.

The staff was very helpful, even holding my bags for free when I arrived too early for check-in, although there were also lockers in the main lobby for larger bags I assume. The breakfast, while not extensive, was sufficient and rather tasty with a good selection of food. The location, right on the edge of Nakajima-koen, is fine - it's easy to walk to restaurants, Susukino, or the running paths along the river (as well as Nakajima-koen itself). All in all, a simple, comfortable place to stay!

Some staff does not serve well, however, there are others staff serve very well as social recommended.

A bit run down room - window area with scratches, but generally rather clean and definitely good value for the money. There was a room service menu which looked good but we ended up eating in the city, so not really sure on the food quality.
