This house is directly on Bienville, giving it an outstanding location.
It is also set back far enough from the beach to prevent getting your cars stuck in sand/flooded. We had some really strong surf during our week that resulted in cars getting stuck. I also really like the concrete pads for parking.
The views are great and the house is generally well stocked.
Unfortunately to the downside…when we arrived at check in time, the house was not ready. The cleaner was still working. Based on what her schedule sounded like for that day, she probably needs a pay raise! No fault of her own.
Then the biggest issue was that the elevator did not work. It wouldn’t go all the way down to the first level, locking it out. We knew we probably had an issue from the get go when we went to the lockbox for the elevator key and none was there. Did they already know it wasn’t working and kept the key? We booked this house specifically for the elevator as we were traveling with my elderly mother in law who can’t navigate steps well. It’s listed in the headline of the listing as a key feature, and for it not to work was a tremendous disappointment.
The follow through on resolution was not helpful either. This rental is managed by Vacasa, and you have to go through their chat service. We did have a kind gentlemen come out twice the second day to work on it with no resolution, then crickets… The people who checked in today when we left will also find the same issue.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life, this is the house for you. Dauphin Island is a great place to get away and just have a daily agenda of doing nothing but enjoying the beach, and having a house like this right on the water is perfect. The elevator feature is a nice touch loading in and loading out, although it is a little finicky. I would like to see better instructions on how to use it correctly. If you do anything to mess it up, you have to reset it (turn it off and back on). The kitchen is a great size for family meals and the wraparound island is perfect for buffet style eating. Having a grill was awesome and we used it almost every day. The layout of the house is great for family getaways. It might be an improvement to have the bunk room moved to one of the bedrooms with access to the Jack and Jill bathroom and then there would basically be two master suites. Overall we loved the house and would definitely stay here again in the future.

The house is very pretty, and has a great location. I thought the TV in the living room was especially nice. It's very large and has a great picture. It also allows you to stream Netflix and Amazon etc. If you have accounts.

Lovely home, extremely well equipped. Picturesque view of the gulf from the patio. Only complaint was that the elevator did not seem to work, even after having someone come out to attempt a fix.

This large 4 bedroom, 3 bath home has tons of room including large den and full sized, well stocked kitchen which includes ice machine and dishwasher. Loved that it was beachfront and dog friendly. Large porch is beachfront, deep enough to offer some shade all day and has a "child gate" so our dog could be outside with us. Gas BBQ grill is in good condition.
Elevator is very convenient.

Perfect spot to stay that was a few steps off the beach. You can’t ask for a better spot to have privacy of your own beach. Perfect accommodations for a group of 12 and it has large common space for even more. Everything you need is on site and when you do need some supplies the town has some convenient shops. Great space to relax and unwind and soak away your worries.

Layout was perfect, kitchen WELL equipped, everything was clean! Right on the beach, can't get closer! Bunkbed in kids room was "loose, broken weld" but our child was 9 and small so it was ok, really my only complaint!

We had a wonderful stay at Whatever She Wants. Location is superb, just steps from the surf and an unobstructed view down the beach in both directions. This home is spacious and laid out well, especially for a large family with younger children. The deck overlooking the Gulf is large and equipped with plenty of Adirondack chairs and a large dining table, perfect for eating outside. We had everything we needed!

Beautiful house, right on the beach. Plenty of towels and dishes. Could use some basics like salt/pepper, oil, coffee filters, an all purpose cleaner. Wi-Fi is spotty, but it is on an island. Elevator finicky, but if it stops between levels- just close the slider door and keep trying.

We have stayed at soooo many beach houses, this one was the best by far! The elevator was such a welcome addition, loaded it up with our suitcases and groceries, sent it up and unloaded with ease. Very pleased, hope to be back soon, when it comes available again.

This house checked all the boxes for us!! It was just my husband I this trip but we have booked it for next year with our family! Our favorite perks were the elevator the extra drink fridge and the ice maker !! The house is beautiful and maintained well!. The ONLY thing i would suggest getting is a wifi booster. We are verizon users and it was spotty. But the wifi wouldn't even reach out to the deck. That would be the icing on the cake for us ! Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your piece of heaven!!

We stayed here for 5 nights, and enjoyed every day to the max. The sand of the beach is on your toes the second you step out to the patio and walk down the stairs. With the patio doors open we heard the waves from the living room, which was great. Also, it was extremely clean and overall a great stay.

The house has an elevator which makes getting your luggage into the home a breeze. It was so helpful getting our senior dogs in/out for a bathroom break. The home is very spacious and decorated tastefully.

This house was great. We had a party of 8 and had plenty of room for all. The beach was a few steps from the house so enjoyed seeing Dolphins every am and pm. Also had an experience with a baby Loggerhead Sea Turtle. We got to send him out in his world after he was rescued from the street by a game warden .The house was set up so well. The deck was well used since it rained every day. The house everything we needed however the cookware is not too good..and the stove did not work well and the built in microwave did not work but there has been a small microwave put in the kitchen all in all we worked it all out and had a great time. We would love to come back again.

This house was perfect for our family of 12 beach vacation!! The location being directly on the beach was amazing and we will definitely come back to Dauphin Island and use this company for our vacation needs.
Having the elevator for bringing up our heavy suitcases was so nice and would be wonderful for anyone that has trouble walking up stairs. The layout of the house is perfect for having 12 people in our group. We all had plenty of room to spread out. My favorite part of the house was the large covered deck, it had all the room and chairs, table and large gas grill!!
The only need I see is a second trash can, it is picked up twice a week but we still needed another can.
You will not regret your stay in the house!!

This property was exactly as advertised. Well done, great floor plan, well maintained, beachfront. Literally walk out the back deck and the gulf is yours to enjoy.
Things to note before you go-
A) take ALL of your supplies. This home offers only starter amenities such as toilet paper, paper towels (1 roll), 3 pods for the dishwasher and 3 pods for the washer. There are no kitchen basics, so plan accordingly and take everything from spices to foil.
B). Shop BEFORE you arrive on Dauphin island. The closest grocery is Greer’s off island and they are spendy. I recommend shopping in Mobile at WalMart or Sams Club to save some $$.
C). Dauphin Island is everything they claim. Quiet, pretty and serene. If you want entertainment, it’s limited. We visited the bird sanctuary , the Sea Lab and the Fort.
D) Vacasa was an attentive management company and very efficient and friendly. Hats off to them.

The back porch was amazing for meals, kid play time, and ocean gazing. We had so much fun watching the wildlife from our porch and watching the birds dive into the ocean. We truly felt like we were still down at the beach, even when we came up to the house. The baby gate/screen at the top of the stairs on the porch was extremely sturdy and almost impossible for a small child to figure out, which brought us all peace of mind. The elevator down to the beach was also amazing! The other “extras”, like big TVs in every bedroom, drink fridge, and the huge ice maker just made our trip so much more convenient (especially with children). The Vacasa staff were helpful and responsive to our needs at the beginning of the trip. We would definitely stay here again! We are so sad to leave.

Everything about our stay was perfect! The house was spotless, beds and furniture were so comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked with everything that was needed! I was pleasantly surprised to find basics like soap & toilet paper to get us started. There were plenty of towels, extra blankets and pillows. The ice maker, extra refrigerator, and elevator were an added bonus! The covered porch was the perfect spot for morning coffee, with stunning sunrise and sunset views and a perfect spot to watch family play on the beach! It was the perfect spot for our family! Thanks!
