The day of arrival we had a terrible storm that shut off power to vrbo. Hosts notified us an hour or so before our arrival and offered us a night at another house near by. Unfortunately it was not accessible for me and hosts quickly refunded money for that night. We checked in the following day and power remained on for the remainder of our stay. There were a couple more hiccups but I have never in my travels come across such gracious and responsible hosts. Everything was ironed out quickly and satisfactory. Location was perfect for us we were hooking up with family nearby. The vrbo allowed me to entertain and provided a comfortable gathering place.

Loved this coastal retreat! Very nice cozy Christmas.Great place to stay going to the Christmas market.Great communication with the owners and they thought of everything we needed including a Christmas tree and very much appreciated the delicious bottle of wine and truffles to make you feel even more special. Also enjoyed the coffee and now ordering the same for my everyday coffee. Had a lot of great walks at nearby Fiscalini Ranch Preserve and in the neighborhood, the deer all around was a special treat.We enjoyed our time at Coastal retreat and would highly recommend staying here.

This home was so great to stay in. The home was in excellent condition. It was so nice to have all the extra kid stuff. The home was very well equipped in the kitchen. Lots of space in the living room., everyone felt like the home was very spacious. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable. We will definitely try to stay here again.

We truly enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay. The living room was a wonderful place to visit with our friends and goddaughter, cozy and comfortable. We spent evenings on the deck gathered together around the fire pit (glass of wine in hand). The beds and linens were very comfortable, and we had plenty of privacy, with one bedroom/bath downstairs and another upstairs. We walked from the house to explore the Fiscalini Preserve, one of our favorite Cambria pastimes, and drove into town for shopping and browsing. We hope to make it back some day soon!

We love the property so much, it’s clean and cozy. The view is pretty and peaceful, also the towels and sheets are well stocked. Our kids loved it, it’s perfect for family with little kids, it has a crib and a toddler bed. Our kids slept well during our entire stay. The location of the house is close to everything, the beach, the trails, and the restaurants. Overall it was great and communication with Kerrie is easy and she responds very quickly. Definitely will be going back :)

Great house in a super central location in Cambria - so close to everything but you feel like you are off in the forest with the great view off the back balcony. Beds are super comfy, bathrooms and kitchen has everything you need to make you feel right at home. Very clean and loved all the added special touches. We usually stay in a hotel when we come to Cambria, but we have found our new space to call home away from home. Thank you for sharing the great home.

We have travelled to and stayed in Cambria several times in the past and this was our best stay by far. The Coastal Retreat is a dream and our hosts thought of everything we could hope for in a home away. The house was sparkly clean and thoughtfully furnished and outfitted. The setting is beautiful and a joy to spend time in from the furnished deck. A binder full of knowledgeable recommendations for walks, hikes, food, and shopping informed our daily choices. We absolutely hope to return soon and often!

Kerri and Greg should write a book on how to host a VRBO! This home has it all: amazing views from the incredible deck with a firepit and bbq, the comfy beds, the well-stocked and user friendly kitchen, ease of check in, incredible response and attention from the owners, and did I mention the AMAZING VIEWS of fern canyon from the deck? Plus the little touches like fresh ground coffee, a bottle of wine and chocolates, a log on the fireplace, recommendations for hikes and restaurants, and even a basket of goodies for our dog! We spotted deer, all sorts of birds, and even wild turkeys right outside the front door. Close to town and the ocean but tucked away from the hustle and bustle, this home is paradise. We have been coming to Cambria for 32 years, staying in many different vacation homes but this one is now our absolute favorite! We plan to be back as often as possible!

Kerrie’s place was perfect! It had everything we needed and much more. It was spotless and we felt comfortable immediately. I only wish we had a longer visit.

Our family spent 4 days at Coastal Retreat and loved every minute. The home is extremely clean and very well stocked. The hosts were wonderful - great communication and provided a number of suggestions for local restaurants and activities. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was perfect for our excursion from the Bay Area. The ready-to-light fire log and bottle of wine were a nice touch to warm us during the “June Gloom” on the coast. The beds were super comfortable and the wooded area was very relaxing. The place is very spacious with a fully outfitted kitchen, and hose on the downstairs deck was handy for rinsing sand from our feet and shoes. The tv had all the services ready to watch and easy to figure out. The Wi-Fi was great. Kerrie and Greg were very helpful and they even accommodated our unexpected early arrival like magic. Will definitely stay again if we can!

This lovely home was the perfect destination for my family of 3. Surrounded by trees and chirping birds, the house was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The house has all amenities you'd need. Easy walk or drive to anything you need.

The location was wonderful. It was like being in a treehouse. The host, Kerrie. was very responsive to my communications. The house was charming , comfortable, and very clean. We look forward to our next visit.

I booked this trip to get some cozy chill time with my best friends. We didn’t really plan to go anywhere or do anything other than drink wine and eat cheese. So the comfy cozy vibes of this spot was great. Sadly our arrival was timed with a major storm but our host worked with us, giving us extra time to make up for our delayed arrival. That was very kind of them and we really appreciated it. The house was well stocked with kitchen ware, towels, blankets and anything else we might have needed. The communication was super easy and the Wi-Fi worked great. The home was warm and cozy, they had logs in the fireplace waiting for us and the views were beautiful. The check in and check out instructions were totally reasonable and easy. We would definitely come back!

Too short of a stay but enjoyed every minute of it. I've never rented a house with so much goodies in the kitchen! The wine was delicious and from a local winery as well as the chocolates. The owners are very responsive and our dog was in doggy heaven.

This was aa great spot that was well appointed. Beds were comfortable as was the living room sofa. Parking was easy and kitchen has all the basics. We hope to return!

I love this place. I was a bit hesitant as I thought it was going to be a little small, and it was not right on the beach. But it turned out to be absolutely perfect! Beautiful place, everything worked perfectly, very clean. Very well maintained. Very safe for our little dog. Beautiful ravine with a hiking path right behind the house. We were basically in the woods. Three minute drive to down. The patio and fire table out back got a lot of use and the living room was perfect for six people. I can't say enough good things. I loved it and will certainly stay there again.

This location looks out over Fern Canyon, so unlike so many properties in Cambria that are cose to one another, the view here gives you a lovely feeling of being in the forest. Kerrie was immediately responsive to my need for assistance with the door code. (my fault, not hers). Open floor plan, spacious loft, prefectly appointed kitchen. I did not want to leave... and I will be back!

My wife and I stayed a week in the Coastal Retreat and had an awesome time! The house is a great size for us and our dog, but also we had my sister and her friend for one night and the space was very accommodating for all of us. The living and sleeping areas are super cozy and comfortable. The decoration is homey and just what you want at a coastal retreat. The deck is amazing! So many birds, deer, wild turkey and more. It is the perfect place to relax and read or just listen to the nature around you. Others have mentioned it but it bears repeating, the house looks like its right off the road, and in fact it is super close to the main drag and HWY 1, but it is so private once you are in it! You will feel like you are in your own slice of forest heaven. The house has everything you could possibly need and the host Kerrie was super responsive. I messaged her and got a response every time in less than 10 minutes! (I think it was faster but I don't want to set an impossible standard. ;-) ) We also did appreciate ALL of the little things for our dog, including dog blanket, toys and towels. Thanks so much for hosting us!

The property was so private with 3 sides of the home hidden in a pine forest next to a fern preserve. We saw deer, tons of different birds and had coffee in the morning watching the woodpeckers while lounging on the deck and my son swang in the swing under the trees. The house was a home- clean, well-cared for and had everything you could think of- even a waffle maker! I can’t say enough about the cleanliness!!! We’ve stayed in tons of places in Cambria and handsaa down this was the cleanest and most welcoming of all. To top it off the hosts were so communicative and helpful. There’s a binder full of restaurant and hiking recommendations! We will be back! Best stay in the 22 years we’ve been visiting Cambria!

This property went well beyond expectations. Beautiful, convenient location in Cambria, very well appointed with furniture, appliances, kitchen gadgets, etc. It really felt like a nice home instead of a rental. 5 star all the way around without a doubt.

This is the most fully outfitted property we have stayed at. Great attention to detail including, kitchen and food supplies, TV and entertainment, easy internet access, instructions, and toiletries. The overlook of the ravine is stunning. Access to Route 1 and Cambria is terrific. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
