Very hot. Could save on the heating bills!

It was a characterful cottage, well equipped, and set in the beautiful grounds of an historic building. A nice selection of breakfast items had been provided.

I got no response to my message to the owner/manager that I would be arriving late, having landed at Stansted. Communication turned out to be a big problem. When I arrived, the place was freezing because, I subsequently discovered, the cleaner had turned off the heating and left the window to the bathroom open all day. Th wouldn't recommend ere were no instructions regarding the heating system. This meant that I spent two hours getting to sleep after my flight and I had to wear my day clothes and a hat to keep warm. When I contacted the owner/manager the next day she admitted the error and apologised but didn't seem to understand that just offering a free breakfast in the cafe wasn't really adequate compensation when I had already eaten some of the breakfast items provided on the cottage. I tried repeatedly to get her to engage in an actual conversation with me about this but she ignored all my calls, voice messages and texts. This was completely unacceptable and on that basis I wouldn't recommend anyone staying at Little Easton Manor. It's also very expensive to get to from Stansted by taxi - £35 for a journey of about 6 miles.

We were totally blown away that we had a cottage. We thought we would have a room in the hotel. To provide breakfast, tea & coffee was exceptional. We would highly recommend Little Easton Manor to anyone who needed a place to stay. The cottage was welcoming, warm and beautiful. We cannot thank you enough. Kind Regards, Elaine Whiston.

Beautiful setting and cottages

water marks on glasses. didn’t meet any staff and no one to contact when fire alarm was beeping. also the Tea Rooms were closed even though we had booked a table for 16 people

The cottage was lovely in beautiful surroundings and very quiet location . The little touches like fresh fruit tea coffee milk and snacks where a sweet gesture . everything was very clean and the towels and bedding all soft and fresh .

we didn’t realise the cottages where shared with others but this didn’t effect us at all because we were the only residents .

It wasn't clear that it was a shared bathroom which was disappointing. Well done to the staff though who cleared up the mix up with the room allocations The grounds are superb and it's close to the village.

The building and location is very beautifil. The property was very clean and well maintained.

Not meeting anyone. I was rather lonely as I was the only person in my building.

Each bedroom really needs a full length mirror I got ready without knowing what I really looked like for the wedding I was attending. A kettle/tea coffee In each bedroom would be good as the cottage is let out as rooms to different people.

Breakfast was great, very generous and enough for our pre- wedding lunch. We managed very well with what was supplied but would be even better with a bigger microwave / cooker. Took us a while to heat our supper for 7 of us after a long journey and not knowing when we would arrive we didn't want to go out in the aftermath of storms. But thoroughly enjoyed our stay, perfect for wedding weekend accommodation.

A downstairs loo / washbasin would make all the difference. More efficient bedside lights - stronger lightbulbs - far too weak to read by.. We brought extra chairs to put round table - could easily put a couple of dining chairs in a bedroom. Only 4 supplied.

Really comfy beds and the grounds are beautiful. Some nice bits left for breakfast.

The living room is small and lacks seating for the amount of people the cottage sleeps. Bedrooms are a good size but layout chosen means you can only access the bed from one side comfortably.

The staff were very nice helpful & friendly. The place was very clean

There’s no access to public transportation from & to the property. It’s completely isolated..

Excellent value for money considering there are 7 bedrooms in the cottage. Glad I could stay at such a short notice, having missed my flight because of covid papers mixup.

The only toilet is upstairs, I think if you're actually staying there with a lot of people that's not ideal
