Location was excellant , quiet but close to village, amazing scenery and paradise for walkers with many paths accessable from the property.

The weather - we knew it could be unpredictable in the mountains in winter, ;but on the few days it was bad, we drove to a different part of the island for walking.

The house is out of the way, quiet, has a terrace with beautiful views of the valley and mountains around (including el Teide!), and has its own parking spot inside the gate. The beds were comfortable and there was lots of closet space.

I hate to write something negative, but unfortunately we did not have a good experience here. The house was very humid, and from the first moment, we started to have "visitors" in the form of millipedes. By the second day I had dealt with over 100 of them, and we decided to abandon our rental for another place. We are not squeamish people, and understand that in the country there are sometimes bugs (we encountered a few millipedes in another La Gomera rental house, which was not a problem for us), but these just kept coming in during the evenings, under the doors and the windows. It was not rainy the days we were there, either I think that replacing the doors so they close more tightly (with weatherstripping) and if the humidity issues can be dealt with, it may help a lot. I appreciate the good contact with the owners regarding our situation and choice to leave. They said no one had ever complained about this before.

The house is perfectly renovated, with great views on both the village from Las Rosas and the Teide. The place is just the right level of remote : very quiet with nice neighbors, no cars passing but super quick access to the main road and mid-distance from Hermigua and Vallehermoso, both villages I personally adore (and also the mountain access road to Gajaronay, little used and very practical to go center/south of the island). Access was perfect, easy, so was communication, we appreciated the welcome gift and always quick answers to our questions, upfront and during the stay. Then : very good comfort, super clean, plenty of hot water, good and comfy bed, strong wifi, plenty of towels and blankets, stoves available in case of chill (we did not need them, house seems well insulated), plenty plenty of equipment in the kitchen as well and washing machine / dryer available outside. It was a very solid and satisfying long stay, our best in La Gomera to be honest.

A few basic equipments are missing and would be appreciated to make it a 10/10 such as coffee mugs, a chopping board, some wine glasses, a toaster and a strainer or a drying stack (even if I understand the choice to provide the dryer as a main use case - sometimes you just want to dry your clothes or sea suits in the wind !). Some plants outside would also be appreciated to make the lovely terrasse less mineral ! Also, thicker drapes in the bedroom to make it darker at night could be good. These are all details easily fixed, that will finalize the overall satisfaction, already very high.
