It was very clean. Very nice size with lots of space. Elvina was very polite and made sure our stay was comfortable.

The villa had everything we needed and very clean. It was very peaceful. The kids loved the pool. The beach was an easy 5 minute walk.

No AC which would have cooled the house better at night. The fans were not adequate.

The bedrooms were good sized and had adjoining bathrooms and sufficient storage space. The outside verandah was large and nice for relaxing in both during the day and at night.

The chef recommended by the property went AWOL the morning we went. The property eventually searched for and recommended a replacement, but not before informing us that the chef was OUR responsibility given that it is a self catering villa. That wasn't at all helpful to hear, given we were worried about the cooking arrangements at that point. On our second morning there, we had no water AND no electricity. Turns out that the water pump had gotten spoilt after the electricity outage occasioned by heavy night rains. Plumber was called and finally around 1pm, we were able to shower and cook. We were told that the electricity there is erratic and there was no way of knowing when it would return so we needed to immediately cook all the meat we had carried with us for our stay. Ironically, another villa in the same compound had a generator running and we wondered why the owners of Villa No 5 would not invest in a generator for their guests. Property has no air conditioning despite the facilities description that it has. The entire villa, especially the kitchen, needs regular fumigation. There were tiny little ants crawling over and getting into the food, the sugar, the tea, the drinks - virtually everything! That eventually became disconcerting. On the second last day of our stay, the cooking gas ran out and the housekeeper was no-where to be seen. Upon calling her, it transpired that it was her day off and so she had not been planning to report to work. We were astounded that she had not bothered to inform us that she wouldn't be coming in. I have not experienced a housekeeper going away during one's stay, given that the properties are not occupied 24/7/365. Is this a common thing? Eventually, she came and went to buy another gas cylinder. We ended up having breakfast after 12 noon on that day. Our assessment was that the property owner and/or manager is very rarely at the property (if ever?
