Beautiful home on a beautiful lake! House is huge and just gorgeous. Kids had a blast jumping off the dock, swimming, fishing. Caught 3 huge catfish off the dock. Must have been 35 pounds! Fire pit and hot tub were a hit! Will definitely be back!

Wow! What a beautiful home! We had such a lovely time! The lake was great fun and the views from the house were plentiful! Great fireworks show right across the lake from us as well. The home was one of the best stocked that I have stayed in so far. The owners were wonderful and very responsive. I highly recommend!

Our family vacation to Firefly Bay was exceptional. The house was fully equipped with everything needed from house essentials to enjoying water activities on the lake. The owners were extremely helpful and willing to go above and beyond when minor issues arose. We will and have already recommended this house to our family and friends. Our family decided to get away for a few days during spring break for a retreat outing dubbed "Pause, Plan, & Play." We couldn't have picked a better venue. Pause Amazing views of the lake from every floor, comfy furniture for sitting and chatting (love the screened-in porch), and the kids even took turns helping to cook in the fully stocked kitchen. The house proved a great break from our busy lives and offered a time to reconnect with each other. Plan We got to welcome the sunrise doing yoga on the dock allowing us to ground ourselves for the day. Then throughout our stay we had amazing family conversations in the hot tub - with a picturesque view of a tranquil lake. Not everyone will finalize their summer camp schedules this way... but it was just an amazing place to facilitate discussions. Play Tons of fun to be had in the game room (I'm still undefeated in ping pong). My kids had never played billiards before and had the opportunity to give it a try on the pool table located in the basement. We took the kayaks out on the water - although the water was still a little chilly. Here's a testament to the magic of Firefly Bay, we managed to complete a full Monopoly game without a single fight!!!!! Grab your friends, bring your famiy - Firefly Bay makes for an incredible get away.

This house is amazing! So much room and perfectly set on Lake Gaston! The boat rental is a must do-we had hours of fun tubing on the lake! It is a fairly secluded property so we made full use of the spacious dining area and cooked each night utilizing the well stocked kitchen. The only critisim I would have about this area of the house is that the oven is a little small; especially compared to everything else in the home; but managable. The hottub had some issues during our stay that did not get resolved but we did still enjoy it somewhat. There are a lot of bugs so be prepared. But the house is wonderful-the downstairs entertainment area with the pool table, bar, big TV, etc..was a wonderful bonus. Having all the kayaks, paddleboards, etc right there was such a nice ammenity! Beautiful views, amazing house, super fun stay!

The house is as stunning in person as it is in the photos. It offers tons of space and privacy for large groups. The lake is healthy and amenities are top notch. Swimming in the lake is enjoyable and the teens enjoyed jumping from the dock. Kayaks and paddleboards and floats are in great condition. We should have rented the pontoon but there was a bit of a rainy forecast for the week. (Never was a problem though) The fire pit, pool table game room and jacuzzi were excellent for evening social times and we had tons of laughs The water pressure was great and there are enough bathrooms for everyone. The beds are very comfortable. The screened in porch is lovely for rainy mornings. The hosts are very responsive even for things beyond their control. We came during the height of mayfly season but the hose was all we needed and there was no disruption to our comfort. This was NOT a buggy lake because there are great breezes and water current. Highly recommend!!!

If you’re looking for remote, this is the place for you. The house is beautiful, but there is nothing nearby for at least 25 minutes. Also, be ready to lug all your own garbage to a dump, because that’s what part of your stay requires.

We absolutley loved our stay at Firefly Bay. It was a perfect spot for our large family to all be together. We spent the week boating, tubing, swimming and fishing. The property was wonderful and supplied with all we needed to enjoy our stay. It was very clean, and Adam and Racher were great hosts. We had to contact them a few times with questions and each time they were prompt and very attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Firefly Bay on Lake Gatson. The house had everything you can imagine and more. Every room has a beautiful lakeview and perfect sleeping arrangements for multiple families. We were able to enjoy the pontoon boat, tubing, kayaks, and endless hours in the gameroom. Our kids enjoyed fishing at sunrise and making s'mores at sunset. We would highly recommend this house, there is something for everyone. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Our group had an excellent time at Firefly Bay! The house is just as pretty in person as it is in the images, if not prettier. The views are absolutely amazing. The house was extremely well equipped and the owners have thought of everything to make the stay wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed everything this fabulous home has to offer, including the 2 tiered dock, hot tub, nights by the fire pit, and fun game room area. 5 PLUS Star Home!!

The house and property were exactly how described. We had a couple families with several small kids. The location is perfect for tubing and water skiing since it’s not that busy of an area on the lake. Water is clean and calm! Only negative is that there is no yard. The property in on a hill and there is no flat area for kids to play. Luckily everyone in our group loves the lake and didn’t need a yard. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great vacation at Firefly Bay! The house was very spacious and updated with many places to gather as well as quiet spaces to read a book. We enjoyed all of the amenities including the fire pit, kayaks, paddle boards, lily pad, hot tub, and game room. The kitchen was very well stocked. Rachel was very quick to respond when we had a question. Highly recommend this property!

Our family had an amazing week and this property only added to the experience. All of the items we needed were already there from the kitchen to the Lake. The house was clean and up to date. The amenities were perfect and we couldn't have asked for more. The owners are quick communicators and the entire process was seamless. GREAT property!

What a fabulous place!! Pristine accommodations with loads of space, plenty of room for multiple families to spread out and sleep comfortably. The area is quiet and serene, and there are beautiful views of the lake from every room in the house (and the hot tub!). The owners have thought of everything and the house is extremely well-organized (especially the kitchen), making it so easy to enjoy all it has to offer. Super easy to access the dock and enjoy lake activities. Very responsive communication with the owners. We had an amazing trip and will definitely return!!

We had a wonderful time gathering as a family. The house was perfect and Adam and Rachel were wonderful communicators and hosts!

We had our family Christmas gathering at this property and upon arrival fell in love woth the beautiful views. These views can be enjoyed from just about any room in the house. Everything was spacious, comfortable, beautiful and relaxing. The property owners were amazing with responding quickly to questions and concerns (mind you we stayed Dec 24th-Dec27th) even on Xmas day!!! The only thing I would say was a slight hiccup, but not due to the property or the owners... the cleaning crew that came in before we arrived missed several things. For instance, they left opened food, drinks etc in the bar fridge. This would not hinder us from stayibg at this property again though. We fell in love with the house and location.

This house is definitely the best one that we’ve ever rented on Lake Gaston and we’ve been coming to the lake for the past 4 years. We came with our three kids, our parents, and both of my brothers families for a total of 15 people. The house is quite large and gave us lots of room to spread out. The kids bunk room is spacious and easily accommodated 8 kids and it has its own bathroom with two separate shower heads. The house had plenty of games and puzzles and books which we brought up to the great room to play in front of the fire. The garage is basically a game room with foosball and ping pong and basketball and the one day it rained we all hung out there playing games. The other nights we had campfires and s’mores in the fire pit. The kitchen had sharp knives (a rarity at rental homes) and All Clad cookware and had plenty of plates and silverware for everyone. There is a view to lake from every single room and it is absolutely beautiful. My favorite spot to hang out was the screen porch where I would drink my morning coffee and watch for herons on the dock. If this home is this fabulous in the winter, it must be spectacular in the summer. We will definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Firefly Bay!! The view is phenomenal and the home provides plenty of space for everyone. Our 12 year old son loved the games set up in the garage while our 17 year old daughter enjoyed having her own room and space to hang out downstairs. We were given a contact from the owners for boat rental. To have the pontoon delivered to the dock and then picked up when we left was such a wonderful bonus added to our stay. We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more at this beautiful lakeside retreat! Thanks so much for sharing your home with us and we hope to return soon!

We absolutely enjoyed this property and look forward to visiting it again! The house is very spacious and the outdoor space it awesome! One more bathroom will be great which they are putting in by next year… but we have no complaints! The house is well stocked and it’s an awesome place to come in and not leave your entire stay except by boat!

Place was amazing. Even better than advertised even though it doesn't seem possible. We all had a great time and plenty of space for 12 adults to relax. Has everything you could need for a weekend on the lake! Will def be back in the future.

It is a large lovely home.

The house was beautiful and we enjoy every bit of it. Their were plenty of water sports that they provided for us, which made our lake days a lot more fun. The host was great, he was super helpful also. My family sure did enjoy our weekend getaway, we definitely would recommend this place.

My family and I really enjoyed the property

My father passed recently and his funeral was held nearby in Lawrenceville VA. This home allowed me to not only house myself, siblings, some relatives and close friends, but also was large and spacious enough to bring family together again and reconnect after years apart. This place channeled the energy my father used to have when he would host people at his cabin like home he built in Annapolis MD and the many wonderful gatherings there during my childhood. The experience in this home was healing and helped in accepting my father’s loss. I appreciate that the owners were kind and understanding in allowing my relatives to visit before and after the funeral. My mother wept tears of sorrow and joy recounting that my father would have loved this experience. My grandfather sat on the porch gazing out at the water in calm reflection commenting on the peaceful setting and lovely view. My various cousins took everything in and exclaimed that we need to gather and rent a place like this every year to stay connected. This house was fantastic and I will be forever grateful to the owners for making it available and allowing me to rent it. They were quick to respond when a yellow jacket got in the house and had someone come over right away to spray. I appreciated the games closet, games room and pool table. The bar and blender were put to good use. The grill got some admiration from the grill aficionados in my family for having a gas line connected to it from the main house. The kayaks and other water equipment were in mint condition and worked fine. Plenty of life jackets for adults and kids. The lake of course, highly active with fish. You could see their heads poking out to gobble up the may flys. We were able to catch a number of fish including a large cat fish. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, noted some Japanese Maples. I appreciated the Mister Toad wallpaper in the laundry room, and the old school kayak and in the basement. I appreciated that everything was labeled to help in tidying up. If I have one gripe, it is that there needs to be another bathroom (made getting ready for the funeral a bit drawn out); but, it is already being addressed and a new bathroom is soon to be installed for the bunk room (for any future renters). This place truly added comfort during a difficult time for my family.
