Great hotel, close to everything, friendly staff, delicious breakfast

I have stayed here a few times when visiting Yogya with friends. It’s comfortable and fine. But I’m noticing it’s not as nice as it was previously. The food options are not as good and not as fresh. It’s hard to get a good cup of tea. The service was slow. I used to think it was a great hotel in the middle of the city, it’s not as great an option any more but it is fine.

Spend a lot of nights in Hotels and understand sometimes things go wrong! That said on night 1 we tried 3 rooms and all were hot with the room temperature hovering around 25 when the thermostat had been at 18.5 for hours. Never got to a cool room. On my last morning had a cool shower (seemed they were out of hot water)…guess that helps to offset the no working AC! Staff are nice and friendly but a good percentage seem to need training, particularly at the front desk where everyday hotel transactions are a challenge and require multiple people. Pool area is nice, food is average hotel food.

The service was very good, but a few things were not, ie: 1. The wi-fi service did not work on the first floor of the junior suite. That was a big problem for my husband who had to do some work remotely. 2. The bed linen and towels were white at some point, but it was a very long time ago. 3. The water pressure in the shower cabin was very low. 4. The breakfast and dinner buffet were average.

The hotel has a beautiful and high ceiling resting areas which catched our attention. There breakfast provided wide range of cuisines and sitting next to the open area to enjoy the morning view. Every staff in the hotel is extremely friendly and always put on a smile whenever they see us. It was quite nice and enjoyable during our 4 nights stayed. We will definitely come back again.

Super friendly staff, super food, very nice pool and relax area, etc. Room is very nice and especially for the money the best hotel (by far) I ever stayed.

Walking distance to Sultan’s palace , 18th-century royal complex, or kraton, and Malioboro .We stayed for four days,the staffs very kind and helpful. We enjoyed the food and gamelan (classical Javanese instruments) performed in the lobby. Very clean hotel

Best value for money, most comfortable mattress and pillows, biggest bed, lovely and helpful staff...what else do you need

Excellent location, walking distance to Molioboro... Good rooms but there are a couple very big and very laudy cooling system fans. Our first room was close to rhese fans. We requested to change our room to the other wing of the building. Little better but still noisy because of the fans. I suggest not to have room in the pool side because these fan issue. Get the room from strèet side.

Nice and clean hotel, attentive staff.

The lobby and garden is excellent and elegant. The welcome Guava juice is very refreshing. Have choice of dining, we had Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner at its Chinese restaurant. Quality is very good.

Hotel that had it’s glories times, with really bad maintenance, looks dirty in común areas and also in rooms. Bathrooms are very old and need a remodelación, giving a horrible perception to guess. Have to mention that personal is very NICE and their service is GREAT , this is the only difference at hotel Guess type are people with really bad manners in all areas including restaurants as some of them with the feet on the chairs and eating horrible, (Sales department at hotel, you need to look for the kind of guess that you want at your hotel ) Breakfast is good but will be better if there is people NOT having cleanliness when serving food . My humble comment is “not to have buffet because of guess dirty” Have to mention that is hotel is well ranked in Hotel.com and others places but for me should be a 6. For a little bit of the price better you can get a Better ranking hotel , because is not a cheap hotel in the city , comparing to other hotels there. Choose this one because of the Brand , but not worth it Melia corporate area in Madrid need to check the standards for this hotel . My humble comment is Have better choices with another local hotels,

We were so happy with this hotel. The service, the room, , the beutiful garden area, the helpfullness and kindness of the whole staff. Thank you so much for making our stay so nice. I homestly cant say anything negative about this hotel.

Convenient to a number of attractions. Tour desk/office was handy. Greenery & grounds very pleasant. Pedestrian access could be a little better.

I frequent pleasant stay in MELIÁ when I am in Jogyakarta.Walking distance to Malioboro. Nice hotel and quiet.Staff are friendly and responsive. Keep it up.

They even surprised us by upgrading our room from a junior suite to an exclusive suite. The room was stunning, with luxurious amenities and a comfortable bed. The property is truly an oasis. However, the area around there is quite noisy and smoky as most of Djogja. But it is conveniently located near Malioboro Street.

Very relaxing resort specious hotel in convenient area. The most of staffs are very friendly and kind. Walking distance to the shopping area in the town. Good stay for us👍👍👍👍 We book the 2 days tour at hotel counter. We are really appreciated to let us had gorgeous visit to the tourism spots⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Chinese restaurant is bit over priced for the quality of dishes. Western restaurant needs to improve bit for the dishes but I enjoyed the environment. I had cheese cake. It was 😵

Good location, walking dist to Malioboro, next to supermarket and ATM. Inhouse spa has good massages. Service generally good although when we tried to check is at 315pm our room wasnt ready but they arranged another room for us instead. Room facing the road can be a bit noisy.

Huge and popular hotel

The hotel was in central Yogyakarta and convenient for accessing things in the city. It was a lovely oasis after busy days touring.

Location is great, 5 mins walking distance from Marioboro. Lots of good food around the hotel, or just a short drive in grab. The hotel itself has good food too!! Great hotel breakfast, lots of options. We also tried the hotel food for dinner (steak, soto and carbornonara) , also amazing and it was so good. In terms of service, their staff gave us 5 star service, always helpful, always polite. Amazing. I have nothing bad to say abt this hotel. Will be back again some day, soon.
