We called and requested to check in an hour early. We were told to call or come check around 2. When we got there we were told no rooms were ready ( I don't think we were told the truth). We checked in and were told when we come back we could just pick up a key. We came back about 3:10. There were 3 couples waiting. We went in and the lady was very rude and said 3 people need to check in first. We said we already checked in and just needed to pick up our key. She said we had to wait like everyone else. When we went back outside the other customers said they had been waiting from 1/2 hour to 20 minutes and that the staff at check in was doing nothing. We went to get our bags and then the staff called us and gave us our key before the other people. She was rude and said we had to fill out our menu for breakfast before we went to our room. When we went to our room almost every door was open and clean. It is obvious some of the rooms were ready before 3. It would help the staff if they let people check in early and not try to help everyone at one time The shower door was installed backwards and made it hard to turn on the water without getting wet. Furniture was old. Entire room needed updating The staff (3 of them) were all rude and never said thank you when we left We stay in Cambria every 2-3 months and have always been happy with our accommodations. This is the worst place we have stayed in the 15 years we have been coming. Will not be staying here again

Absolutely delightful hotel overlooking the sea - we got there just in time for a beautiful sunset. The lovely Kathleen on reception checked us in to our rooms and was most helpful with regards to suggestions as to where to go to eat. The rooms were clean, spacious & comfortable and the shower was good! We left early the next morning but the breakfast wrap delivered to the room was most welcome. If we ever visit Cambria again, the Sand Pebbles Inn is where we will be staying!

Small seaside hotel that had very clean room and friendly staff. It was a surprise that breakfast was brought to our room.

This is a very comfortable place to stay. The hotel is close to a gorgeous boardwalk. The person working the front desk when we checked in went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our brief stay. She was awesome!

We had an ocean view room that was amazing. It included a private patio with table and chairs, perfect to watch the surfers, people on the boardwalk and sunset. The room was spacious and included a fireplace. The bathroom was huge and included a shower and jacuzzi tub. We really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing option for stay in Cambria. Beautiful room. Wonderful staff. SO CLOSE TO THE WATER! Literally across the street from a beautiful view and access to the beach. Breakfast gets delivered to your room. It’s lovely. :) We’ll definitely stay again when we visit again. Thank you!

Great place, will be back

Very well maintained and clean hotel. Breakfast was great. Views were fantastic although a lot of fog was around when we visited. The only thing I would mention to potential guests is that it would probably get quite hot in the Summer months as there was no air-conditioning in the room, only a ceiling fan. Great that we could open our sliding door for fresh air.

Very comfortable, attractive rooms with everything supplied for an overnight stay on a road trip. Knowledgeable staff who can recommend restaurants in Cambria. Located right on the beach front with a lovely boardwalk along the seafront.

I have mixed reviews in this hotel. Let me start off with the positives- It was very clean, beds were comfy, property was nice and location was great. The staff later found an item we left behind and mailed it to me (I paid for shipping) so that was very nice. Negatives- upon check in I was charged more than what was stated on my hotels.com statement (they later credited me back after I contacted hotels.com), the lady at the front desk advised us that if you have kids it’s “better” to stay at the hotel down the street. All of the rooms are located on the inside, so you must enter the lobby to get to your room - they dimmed the hall lights at 8:15-8:30pm and if you made any noise the lady from the front desk stands in the hallway and lets you know any noise is unacceptable. We had 3 rooms and walking from one to another was considered disrupting. Takeaway: Don’t stay here if you have children or like to stay up past 8pm. This would be a good place for older couples, but not families. It is very close to moonstone beach which is convenient.
