My husband and I stayed in room 6 which is rather special. It is a huge room with a lovely oval bath in the bedroom and separate shower and WC with two hand basins. There was also a desk and chair and comfy leather sofa and a TV. The chandeliers and large mirrors added a bit of glamour. We ate at the pub on our first night and enjoyed our meal and the service. The Fox Inn is ideally situated opposite the Abbey gardens which is a beautiful stroll into town. All the restaurants and amenities were in short walking distance. On Saturday there was a large market which sold a variety of goods.

Short walk to the Apex. Quiet courtyard room. In need of some minor repairs but lovely space. Staff very helpful. Great breakfast!!

The perfect stay. We attended an event just up the road so picked The Fox for the location. The accommodation was loveky, so cosy! The food was fantastic,there are vegan choices which was very important to us and all of the staff were really wonderful. Special shout out to Clare who was so lovely. We will definitely be back the same time next year if not before.

Birthday stayover, we attended the Apex for a music event. The Fox had ample free parking, early book in, lovely walk into town via ruins gardens. Room was clean, warm, quiet and comfortable. We would definitely stay again and i would recommend

The Fox Inn at Bury St Edmunds was within walking distance to everything we wanted. The superior room was so cute and even better than the pictures! We loved the staff! We would highly recommend and will stay there again when we come visit our kids and grandbabies💜

We stayed for 2 nights for a family wedding nearby. Room 1 was fabulous, really pretty decor with good parking and a fantastic breakfast. The staff were helpful and really friendly. Thank you :)

I loved the room. It had character and was spacious and adequately furnished.and comfy bed. The shower was a bit fierce and no shelf to put things on perhaps because of no space

The rooms are lovely, easy walk in to town or around Abbey Gardens over the road. Plenty of free parking outside the accommodation. Nice selection of in-room tea/coffee/chocolate and water but it's a pity this wasn't refreshed or any housekeeping done during the two-night stay. Breakfast was disappointing.

This was booked for one of my colleagues through Hotels.com using the company credit card. The booking confirmation indicated that the payment would be taken by the hotel. The hotel was unable to take the payment without the card being present. They were also unable to take the payment over the phone.
I use Hotels.com to ensure my colleagues are able to check-in without issue and know that their room is already paid for. Sadly, we won't be able to use this hotel again.

absolutely wonderful and the staff were great ambassadors for the company too. Lovely atmosphere and our room was absolutely 5 star.
Only downfall was our meals but hopefully, they will have improved it now.

Was a very lovely hotel. Rooms where beautiful and comfortable as well as large.
Only let down was the bathroom ceiling that the Supervisor told was needing a repaint as it wasn't done correctly.

So I had a bath but the plug was really difficult to get out due to no chain on it.

I enjoyed smoked salmon and scambled egg the first morning and advacado with poached eggs on toast on the second. Hubby enjoyed his full English

This was our first time to Bury St Edmunds and our first stay in a Greene King Inn. Without doubt we'd highly recommend both. The room was comfortable and very clean. The parking very convenient, breakfast good and the service was great. Thank you to Givana and team at The Fox Inn.

Wonderful stay at this Inn, lovely room (apart from a problem with the radiator in the bathroom being on and unable to switch off - this was reported to management) Staff very friendly, especially Paul who was very helpful and informative. Breakfast good and plentiful. Did not eat at the pub of an evening but was popular with locals eating out. Great location being just over the road from the beautiful Abbey Gardens and within walking distance of everything in the town.

We stayed in the suite which was beautiful!!! Ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the food and service excellent! Perfect location too thumbs up all around

Fantastic size rooms plenty of space and really comfy beds. Nice to be able to park your car by the room. Really big bathroom with shower and bath. Great value for money and breakfast was superb. Will stay again.

The bedrooms were in converted stables behind the pub and were excellent. Very clean, comfortable and warm. The pub food, however, was very disappointing based on lunch on arrival and the cooked breakfast. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

We had minor issues with the bathroom (handbasin didn't retain water, loose toilet seat) but these were only minor so we could easily cope. We were immediately offered another room but we said the issues were so minor we would not change so we were offered monetary compensation.
